    Hello everyone,

    I have a few questions,

    1. Why is RS200 12 Kgs heavier than AS200, Does the fairing and Fuel injection system weigh that much?
    2. Has anyone in real time weighed the bike.
    3. People who have bought the bike in the last two months, Are you guys facing any problems like thud sound, ir-responsive gears and any other kindly list it.
    If everything seems under control.

      1. It is due to fairing and the ABS unit.
      2. I have not checked the bike weight.
      3. I am facing 'Thud' sound from the first day. I have opened one plastic part from the fairing which is around the instrument cluster. I tried to find the source of the 'Thud' sound but I could not find it. I suspect the sound comes from instrument cluster. Gear shifting may be made smooth by adjusting the clutch cable. I feel more difference in gear shifting with pillion.
      4. I am getting vibration on the foot rest (at sometimes). I haven't got the solution for this. Even service centre guys are not helping me in this issue.
      5. The side mirrors "Black Allen screws" are really bad. I have faced some problem with side mirror and I tried to unscrew those then I came to know.

1 .Fairing has added the weight.
          2. Nope
          3. No problems yet. Pay the mechanic well, then he will ensure great service to you Daemon
I have started using Motul 7100 engine oil which is full synthetic. I can clearly feel the change in throttle response. It is good. I would say it is much better than bajaj's mineral oil
          Rest is ur choice

You should be asking yourself this question buddy.

There are some positives and negatives of the RS 200. We can't just blindly recommend a bike to someone now can we?

You should post a query in the "What Bike?" section. You'll get good response there.

              Good luck!

Bro your best... Go through each of the shortlisted bikes' forums... See the pros and cons of each bike and then make an informed decision... a decision that you feel is the right one..

We cant tell you what to buy bro.. We can only advise you what you could expect out of a particular machine.

Hey guys can anyone with a complete run in with your RS confirm if the seats are comfortable or not including the pillion seat, as well the mileage it is giving you on the city and highway. Overall any trouble with the rattles in the faring? And last but not the least if you have done power spray washing of the bike does it make any faring parts lose or gets it to rattle after the wash? I'm thinking of getting the RS but need these questions answered. Thanks in advance.

I think the pillon seat is a little small and vibes yes you will get it.something you will have to get used to.if you notice the fairing you can see s small gap on the left front(not on the right)

Buddy, I have completed 4000km today. I bought a used RS which was in its run in time. As of now, I feel the rider seat a bit comfortable. The pillion seat is uncomfortable. There are no grab rails which makes it more uncomfortable. Fairing makes noise and is very irritating. I am facing it till now from the right side. But, have to live with that. My RS is giving 29-30km in city traffic and 33 on highway. I am a rough rider, so the mileage is low. No fairing gets loose with jet wash. Lots of noise from engine that I don't like.
But, overall it's a good bike and value for money. Go for ABS model. Good luck.

I have done about 3.5k km already.Regarding the seat comfort. Im 5.11, 85kg and i find the seat good for short distance rides. After continuous 45 of riding i have to take a break. The seat is not soft enough for my heavy build. One can always add extra padding so if you comfortable with the position you can always add extra bolstering to suit ur needs. Shouldn't be a deal breaker.
The pillion seat is less comfortable for large build people but ok for Think dudes and chicks. Again if your passenger has an issues after a long ride, get the seat padded.

Since i live in Goa, i cannot give you a break up of city and highway mileage but on normal goan roads(including inner and highway) with a slight aggressive riding,i get about 39 to 40KMPl. With aggressive and short rides i get about 33-35 KMPL.

The Rs200 has fairing rattles.though it isnt very audible.Since i wear a tight fitting helmet all the time, i mostly dont hear the rattles. Rattles is something that will develop and can be solved if the service guys have the patience.I dont know if pressure washing will cause the rattles to develop faster but i normally wash with a garden hose since my bike doesn't get caked with thick muck.Normally for any bike it is good to be cautious when pressure washing since alot of wires and parts are exposed. Again, this trivial things should not make or break your purchase decision, they can always be adjusted.

Frens, recently I took my machine for servicing. It was second free service on 3500km. Bajaj's servicing sucks. A young boy may be a teenager did the servicing. He changed the oil, did engine flushing, changed oil filter, cleaned the chain and lubed it, added coolant. They used engine flusher of Bardahal brand and also added injecter cleaner in fuel tank of the same brand. I have never heard of this brand. Don't know if it's ok. I am also not sure what engine oil they used because he brought that in an open jug. Upon asking, he told that it is DTSi oil. In all, I didn't liked it very much. They dis Teflon coating also. They charged 1700 for servicing including the coating. I am also attaching some pics taken during the servicing.
