Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Guys,,,I have some questions...
1) Is leaking of excess coolant normal.
2) From where the coolant level is to be checked....(from where it is poured in....or from the right side) ?
3) My bike has 460 kms on odo ....... Have changed engine oil once on 250 kms.... Now it is asking for service by showing the service sign.... The svc is also 40 kms from my home.
My question is can I drive it some more or get it serviced instantly?

1. Leaking of coolant is not normal. Get it checked at svc about it.Originally posted by Sharma Ji View PostGuys,,,I have some questions...

2. It can be checked from either sides. But accurate and correct method is from the right side.
3. Get it serviced immediately. Because if bike passes 500kms you might void the warranty. Oil change is ur decision. Judge by the colour of the oil, if it is clear change it after another 400kms may be and if it is black or brown change it to save the engine.Bhargav.

The coolant has leaked once only till now (in small amount) and that too just few drops.Originally posted by bhargavkundem View Post1. Leaking of coolant is not normal. Get it checked at svc about it.

And how much coolant is supposed to be in the container from where we pour it ?

Check in the right side. not where u pour it.. it should be little less than max to avoid leaking..Originally posted by Sharma Ji View PostThe coolant has leaked once only till now (in small amount) and that too just few drops.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey guys!
Just got the bike back from the SVC.
Very happy with how they performed the operation.
Got the instrument cluster replaced with a brand new one. Now the odometer has 5 kms on it. The previous information has been wiped clean. Also, the weird buzzing sound that used to come from underneath the dash is gone (thankfully). Most of the fairing vibrations are gone as well.
The tappets still do make that tik tik sound, but it's a little less than before now.
Also the bike now idles properly at 1500 RPM!
They also fixed the heavy steering at low speeds. So all in all I'm a happy camper right now.
Total cost: Nil. (Done under warranty) The labor work was a 1000 Rs if it hadn't been for the warranty.
Thanks and Happy riding guys!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
There's a sort of grainy sound coming from my bike as of late. I think the SVC messed up the oil change or some such as they're inexperienced with this bike. The bike feels very jerky and gives off a constant grainy noise while riding around town. Could it be an issue with the chain slack?
I checked the oil and it looks very dark brownish. Thinking about changing it myself to Motul 7100 or 5100, but can't decide which is better. Any opinions and recommendations are appreciated. My bike's only done 3k kms so far if that makes any difference.
