I checked the chain and it's indicator on the swingarm is between 26 and 28, is this normal range?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
The general consensus seems to be to wait till 5-8k kms before switching to motul, could you tell me why? On the other hand, i've read of people switching to motul from the first service without any issues other than maybe the warranty.Originally posted by xplod566 View Post

Those mods are great.Originally posted by Donmathew View PostGot my screeching metal noisefixed!! I used to get this noise when I used accelerate quickly after shifting to the 1st gear. Thought it was issue with the front disc or something. But luckily the service engineer knew that it was coming from the engine area. Said something about some bedding rubbing against something else. And, he fixed it! No more embarrassing launches at the signal
My fairing gaps keep increasing and they keep re-fitting the fairing. This won't work in the long run so I'm planning to get Bajaj to replace the entire fairing under warranty because it's a manufacturing defect. Wish me luck!
But don't these involve cutting of original wires which could void warranty?

None of the stock wiring was cut for the mods. The existing cables were just skinned to get a connection from it. So my warranty still holds good.Originally posted by Sharma Ji View PostThose mods are great.

Your bike looks great without those good for nothing decals.Originally posted by Donmathew View PostNone of the stock wiring was cut for the mods. The existing cables were just skinned to get a connection from it. So my warranty still holds good.

It is because the engine needs to gel well.there should be a proper breakin.simple if younrub two metals for 1 hour to make it smooth it does become smooth but the same if you do for 5 hours imagine the precision and proper breakin you will have ?Originally posted by ManoR View PostThe general consensus seems to be to wait till 5-8k kms before switching to motul, could you tell me why? Also imagine doing the same thing after 1 hour of rubbing the metal on a very slippery oil ?it won't be good right
So change ti FS oil at 8000kms and you engine will be a gem forever [emoji7] [emoji4]

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I switched over to motul 4100t which is a semi synthetic oil at 500 km(first service) This is the standard oil being used by the service center. So no issues of warranty. If you want to switch over to Full synthetic then wait till 5k km and the shift. As another member said, let the bike properly breakin and then switch over to motul 7100 FS or any other Full synthetic oil.Originally posted by ManoR View PostThe general consensus seems to be to wait till 5-8k kms before switching to motul, could you tell me why? Got my second service done. Can you please check the bill and let me know if the prices are right ? Bill also contains polishing and had to replace and the tail-light reflector.
Now onto some minor mods. Removed all the decals from the bike. Never liked them. They are worth 4k it seems.
Installed Anti-Theft with Remote Start. And yes, the bike will leap forward if you use remote start when the bike is in gear
Installed a mobile holder after a recommendation from one of the owners in this thread. Thanks alot!
Also installed a USB charger. Wrapped it in duct tape to protect it from the elements.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Strange thing happened in last week,
It seems for some known reasons the ground clearance of the bike is been reduced.
The bottom exhaust is been touching speed bumps which was not earlier for the same speed bumps.
No accidents or rough usage.
I did an inspection and compared it with RS200 and found indeed the bottom exhaust seems to be closer to ground !!!
Need to go to service center which makes me shiver !
Also the Rear shock seems to be too hard and there is an screeching sound that comes form the mono Shocks.
Need to compliant to Bajaj CSR.
Any ideas or any one facing similar issues.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
If the logo is the same as used on the NS NS .. It would cost around 230 bucks each. You could try looking for phone holders on amazon, flipkart or any other good marketplace bro.Originally posted by Gokulnath Selvaraju View PostGuys, My 3D Pulsar logo got damaged. left hand side of the tank in r character there is little damage. Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Another way your mods can be done if they are of negligible load is too use the connectors for wiring connections and then wrap it up in good quality duct to protect the connection.Originally posted by Donmathew View PostNone of the stock wiring was cut for the mods. No skinning needed in that case.
