Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Sharma ji.. Once you cross 8k kms.. 7100 is the best you can get for your bike... Castrol may be good but Motul is the best..Originally posted by Sharma Ji View PostBrothers......what if I switch to castrol 20w50 after 8000 kms?????
Is it good?
We can only advise.. Rest is totally your choice bro..

I have bought this bike in a month after it came out, and I did not face any issues. Just crossed 11k km yesterday.Originally posted by shadcool786 View PostPulsar RS 200 Alloy Wheel Cracks Due To Poor Quality

my point behind asking you was
As I frm jammu so motul wouldn't be easily available.
And the castrol is easily available.
So I m asking that which one is better
Castrol or bajaj one.
I know that motul is best.
Plz classify that which one is better among castrol 20w50 and bajaj 20w50...

Have you properly run in engine strictly according to the manual?

Did you try looking if 7100 could be sourced online from maybe amazon or some site. If not, then castrol ia your next best bet.. Have heard shell is also good but I have not personally tried out Shell so will not be right of me to comment comparatively.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Got my Night Fury loaded with Motul 7100...
Also Motul Coolant
I had a query... if i wanna buy chain cleaner, then is it necessary to buy chain lube also???
If yes..Why is it necessary? (Mechanic said both must be used) first apply chain cleaner n then lube.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
First hand experience I had is that if the lube is applied without cleaning the chain first, the chain gets very very dirty. All the muck dirt and grime starts to deposit and stick on the chain cover and the front sprocket.Originally posted by milan2377 View PostGot my Night Fury loaded with Motul 7100...

So before applying chain lube, wash the chain and then only apply the lube.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Guys yesterday I noticed some kind of sound coming out from the rear brake portion of the bike. The sound comes at very low speed (<20 km/h). Still not sure whether the sound is from rear brakes but it is coming from the rear section. I don't know how to describe that sound but it is not of squealing or screeching nature. What could be the issue or is it normal as the bike is in run in period.

Hi, Considering you are from Jammu, I advise you not to use Motul. This is because, cold starts will be a big problem in the mornings with Motul even though engine will be smoother with Motul...Originally posted by Sharma Ji View PostYup brother I understand

I know riders, who have been using Bajaj semi-synthetic oil since for more than 30,000kms and with perfectly healthy machine... So it comes down to maintenance.
Try both Castrol and Bajaj.. Use them each for 3k-4k kms and decide for yourself which one felt better and use it for rest of the life...
Bhargav.
