Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
This is the very reason for me to consider selling it. I have used it for some 8 months but still I am not gaining the desired level of confidence. I am just 5'5 and weighs 55kg. Further about the accidental cases, it can be verified from the insurance records.Originally posted by judebrent View Post

I haven't ridden it & am to sell my Karizma R today. Guess I'll hold on for sometime more! I am now having second thoughts. Another questions, if insurance records show claims, does that reduce the bike value to a large extent as well? Thanks

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I got the bike from Bhopal (200 kms from my place) and I bought it without a test ride as I was mesmerized by its beauty. There was a waiting for a month when the bike was launched. So this was my mistake. You can get a test ride and see if you can manage the bike well, otherwise there is no such issue. And yes, accidents do reduce the resell value of the bikes considerably. Not many want to buy a vehicle which has accidental records in the past. Some may relate it to bad luck that may come along with the bike while the other sensible ppl know that the level of damage with the accident can't be ascertained, so it's better to stay away from such bikes.Originally posted by judebrent View Post

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Just met up with or fellow BHPian and RS owner rachitsharma2000. Sat on the bike and it's just my toes that touch the ground, so this one's a definite No No! I can't imagine controlling it successfully on bumpy/uneven ground with just the toes. So yeah, I've not got to look at the Duke 390 or the Apache 180 ABS!Originally posted by fundoozzz View PostI got the bike from Bhopal (200 kms from my place) and I bought it without a test ride as I was mesmerized by its beauty. Can the suspension be tweaked to lower the seat height?
Thanks

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
you can keep soft suspension which might give you little lower height. I am 5.4 (163 cm) and I am very comfortable in commuting daily in this bike in crazy Bangalore traffic. You need some time to settle with the bike. Don't worry dude..Originally posted by judebrent View PostJust met up with or fellow BHPian and RS owner rachitsharma2000. How much more would that lower the ride height by roughly? ThanksOriginally posted by madhulmr View Postyou can keep soft suspension which might give you little lower height. Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
After 3 months and 3500 kms of riding, finally I did a Vmax test yesterday. Hit a speedo indicated 146 km/h. Acceleration upto 120 is strong. Above that, you need more skill to keep it on the boil. But this is very much sufficient for my usage as of now. Overall, I am loving the bike except for the fairing buzz.

Congratulations! Hope that speed run was on isolated roads/track/runway.Originally posted by xanderdan View PostAfter 3 months and 3500 kms of riding, finally I did a Vmax test yesterday. Hit a speedo indicated 146 km/h.
I would be intrested to know if you own a vbox with vmax setup or did you rent it out?Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
LOL no.. I was talking about speedometer indicated speed. Not sure if we can use vbox on the RS. The one I have used on my car (borrowed from a tuner friend) runs on the 12V accessory socket.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostCongratulations! Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hmm. One can attach a cigarette socket with a relay parallel to the battery and voila! I thought the word Vmax in your OP was in relation to the vbox.Originally posted by xanderdan View PostLOL no.. Just to share:Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostHmm. One can attach a cigarette socket with a relay parallel to the battery and voila! I thought the word Vmax in your OP was in relation to the vbox.
I had hit 131km/h on my first day of bike after 15 or so km/s. The bike was vibrating at right foot peg though, but braking and all were smooth. I have covered around 380km/s now and have reached around speed of 100 and above many times. Though i now tend to keep things calm mostly around 60-70km/h or so till my first service. But there should not be a trouble if you take it for a run once or twice. Got some confident from fellow members and reading the web about the unconventional break in method.
Guys, the bike is a monster. Go race it sometimes, but with utmost safety, if you feel confident. I also read about proper braking techniques and that have helped me a lot from this very forum.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I have not done bro. I am ok and used to the stock suspension what they provided at the time of delivery. It is noteworthy difference if you keep it soft suspension. One of my friend did it for NS200 and he felt the difference positively.Originally posted by judebrent View PostHow much more would that lower the ride height by roughly? Thanks

Can I assume a difference of an inch or so? Please can you check with him once about the height difference on the softer setup? ThanksOriginally posted by madhulmr View PostI have not done bro. Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Does this set up bring down the height of the bike in anyway? How much if it does roughly?Originally posted by Yatheesh S Yashashvi View PostIts on soft suspension setup!!

Would this help reduce the height slightly?Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostYou can change from soft to hard, but harder setting gives sharp handling and stability over pothole, softer isn't soft, but it's less harder... Don't expect unicorn level soft setting.
RS weight is front biased and not evenly distributed unlike Duke, so a little practise will help you in handling her well, not a big deal
