Good news!!! I just got to know from the service engineer at Bajaj that the company is aware of the thud sound coming from the front fairing and that it's common with all the RS200s. The guy said that Bajaj will fix it after a week for all their customers. He wasn't too sure of what was causing the sound though. 1st service in Bangalore comes to 870 plus taxes which includes oil change, consumable charge, oil filter change and general service.

Re: Finalized Pulsar RS200. Is it good?
[QUOTE=Dragonprince;1159335]Thanks Dragonprince for the advise. I have already mailed bajaj regarding this issue and is currently awaiting any reply from them. I will visit the showroom on tuesday and update as it happens.Originally posted by PULSAR RS 200 View PostI dont know anything about extended warranty of the Rs 200 ,i will be going for servicing on monday or tuesday the coming week so ill ask them about it there and then.I checked my mileage via The full tank to full tank method and it is showing 33.24 as a average Most of my ride is incity ride(90-95%) So the mileage is quite good . I hope it improves after first servicing. One more con i have noticed is the neutral problem (between 1 and 2) its happening quite often nowdays, other than that the bike is really good and serves all functions . Currently at 350 km . Will soon be going to buy a few safety gear items like gloves and vest.

Do a complaint to bajaj directly And ask them why the waiting period is so much ,be precise and quote the facts word by word in the email. This mail of yours will be forwarded directly to the dealership so it has to have facts so that he cannot deny and do your work soon. It takes 2 months for normal delivery of rs .

Yes the 1st service charge comes along with the oil change.Originally posted by PULSAR RS 200 View PostWhy you not recommend to lock helmet with saree guard and also does 1st service include oil changing.
Wouldn't recommend to lock at saree guard as the helmet will keep touching & banging other bikes in a parking spot. And thus reducing the life of the helmet.Last edited by santosh.k; 06-29-2015, 01:41 PM.---

Liquid hydrogen, singe-stage booster on the right. If you'll look closely the cryogenic fuel tank of RS 200s tank itself is specifically designed by BASA. So you don't ride, you simply fly!Originally posted by PULSAR RS 200 View PostGuys what is best fuel type for pulsar rs 200 ?

I am still pondering the reason as to why people are so interested in going for aftermarket air filters. Personally it's a waste of your hard earned cash. Most people immediately resort to an air filter mod, beefing up their tire, adding all sort of additional weight, which in turn negatively affects the performance of your bike.
Apart from the grunt you get, airfilters on our motorcycles don't offer much performance gain, the performance gain one may observe is totally a placebo effect. Airfilters have their specific purpose, usage, and are "used in tandem" with tuned engines where every single horsepower can be squeezed out of the engine, to make it to the podium, call it when the stakes are high. Simple logic! Our engines are "tuned" to what comes with stock and are engineered for their best performance and reliability.
Periodic cleaning/replaement of air filters in and of itself would yield a liter to two kmpl extra with the performance one's expecting. Cash spent on these so called airfilters can in turn be used for purchasing valuable items like, bike polish, lubes, towels etc.
It's hilarious when you see people rev the crap out of their bikes and they ain't getting nowhere, you see them doing the same speed as you, but it's just the grunt, plus keep in mind, you are killing your engine slowly yet steadily.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

I someone wants the extra horsepower, he should have spent that money to GET A BIGGER BIKE!!!!
I really do not understand the point of spending so much money and risking your bike just to get a few bhp/decibles extra. It is not like if I reach 100 kmph in 9 sec instead of 10, it will mysteriously change my life!
And if I am not wrong, shouldn't an air filter change be done along with an exhaust modification? If the exhaust system is not changed, I don't think the desired performance boost will be achieved (and this means more money spent and we are back to the first point!)Riding a bike is like flying.... No matter how much times these points are discussed, people still go ahead and make such changes, but hey, who is complaining, their bike their money, none of our business.Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostExactly my thoughts!!!!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hi Guys,
I have been following thread always. I have booked Red ABS version. Will be getting the bike next week.
Can any one tell me if I remove the fairing and get a normal headlight, will the ABS functionality affected? Also I heard that any of that sort of modification done will have to undergo re-registration of the vehicle. Is it true?
Has any one tried such modifications? It will be great if anyone can suggest a shop in Bangalore who does it. Thanks!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Why not go for naked 200 NS or bikini fairing AS200.
Why would someone buy a RS200 and strip it off and make it a naked.
It will be better if the bike is kept in stock condition especially who would want to strip off bumblebee
.
If the only requirement is naked with ABS. Why not duke 390 then.
Cheers,
Sanjay

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Removing the fairing does not affect the ABS. ABS work upon an electronic monitoring system that sense the locking up of tires and release the brake pressure at that instant. So, fairing or no fairing, ABS is not affected.Originally posted by Anantha View PostHi Guys,

Even if somebody removes the fairing, I don't think re-registration is required. If a change in color is made then you would be required to update the RC book with the new color appearing on it. Having said that, it is a grey area and open to interpretation from traffic police. If they want to harass you, they will.
Again, what is the point of removing the fairing? You can always go for NS. If you want FI, go for Duke200. If you require ABS, go for Duke390 or Apache. I do not see any sense in buying RS and then removing fairing. Remember, it is never a good idea to tinker with the aerodynamics of any bike. You can stay assured that the mechanic doing this would be lesser qualified than the engineers who designed the bike. So, any change might render your bike under-suitable for touring/high speeds it was designed for.Last edited by rachitsharma2000; 06-30-2015, 04:38 PM.Riding a bike is like flying.... Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Well according to my personal experience, I hava a good image of air filters in my mind. I installed an air filter of a company named "HP" on my previous bike Pulsar 180 which costed me roughly 600 bucks. Due to that I got a noticeable increase in mileage and a bit throaty sound too! It was totally worth it and I don't care about performance much as my only purpose was the sound. 😏
