Btw, it's good to know that Bajaj treated you well. I hope I don't face any niggles with my bike and its delivery.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Ya same is the case for ABS and Non-ABS. He told I can take Yellow Non-ABS on the same day. But after a test ride, I stuck to ABS version.Originally posted by Ashish Yadav View PostI think the manager just bluffed you, as most of the showrooms are stating a waiting period of 35-45 days and up to 60 days for the RS200. Also, the Yellow ones are less common while the Red ones are selling more, so those who booked the Red bike are getting them earlier.
I myself had booked the bike on the 16th of May and the waiting period told to me was 2 months
. I got a call from the showroom two weeks ago that I can get the Red one a month earlier if I want, but I declined as I had set my eyes only on the Yellow one. I kept calling the showroom manager twice every week to request him to deliver my bike earlier.
Finally and fortunately, the manager called me up two days ago and said that he had managed to book a yellow one for me in the next lot. I've been promised delivery before the 27th of June for the Yellow Non-ABS version, so that makes it a total 40 days of waiting time for me here in Thane district. 1 Week to go
. Let's see if they keep up their promise.
I can only say that the wait will be worth it, so keep patience buddy!
Waiting fingers crossed...Bhargav.

Any reason in particular why a test ride convinced you that ABS was better ? Just a bit curiosity to know.Originally posted by bhargavkundem View PostYa same is the case for ABS and Non-ABS. He told I can take Yellow Non-ABS on the same day. But after a test ride, I stuck to ABS version.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
TO OWNERS,
I read about some of the reviews about the bike on this thread... While some excite me, some made me tense... Posting my queries.
1. About Vibrations below 70kmph. This will be big problem in city rides. Is everyone facing this? If yes, were you able to resolve this issue?
2. Thud sound around front wheel. Read from two or three owners. Were you able to fix this after first service?
3. Run-in period is perferable till 1500kms or 2000kms? I am an aggressive rider, so need to go through run in asap.
4. How's the grip of the tires on wet surfaces? Considering this monsoons, I am planning for few trips around Pune.
5. Did you face any difficulties due to weight being on higher side? How's the flickability of the bike in the traffic?
6. How much time does the Bajaj Showroom take for servicing this bike? Were they helpful and patient in hearing and resolving the issues?
TIA

Krishna, if you use front brake hard I observed the back wheel is lifting up very easily because of the stiff front suspension. I observed this at speeds as low as 20kmph to as high as 80kmph. It is very dangerous during panic braking. While ABS prevents the front tire from locking and so even though the back wheel skids you won't lose balance during dangerous situations. ABS is a life saver and +14K is easily worth it.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostAny reason in particular why a test ride convinced you that ABS was better ? Just a bit curiosity to know.

I thought the ABS and non ABS had a substantial difference in braking performance. Not the locking up part, but the feedback and bite.
But indeed ABS is always a safer bet.!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I am pretty confused between RS200 and the Gixxer SF. Need pillion comfort, long rides as well as decent city rides. Not going to be cornering or racing on track but still need a powerful engine which wont give way under pillion weight and ghats. Plus, am not too sure of suzuki service network or quality, bajaj is pretty spreaded across the country. Any suggestion will be of great help.
Plz give honest opinion and not one influenced by your love towards your bike
I know both are great bikes in their own regard and hence the confusion of choice

Just make sure that you change the oil and oil filter. Get proper diesel wash done.Originally posted by rockstar.ash23 View PostHey guys!
I have my first service of my RS tommorow. Please suggest if I need to check something before or after the servicing.
Check chain slackness.
If any noise is coming then bring it to the notice of the station manager---

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I had one hell of an experience while taking delivery of the bike. I have been waiting for the launch of this bike for almost 18 months since the first rumors came in Nov 2013 or I would have bought NS 200. RS 200 is available only in Bhopal in MP. I live 180 kms away from Bhopal but as I was very eager to get hands on the Bumblebee, I immediately booked the bike within few days of it's launch. On 1st of May (Friday), I received a call from the showroom guys that the bike is available with them and if I want it to be delivered, then I have to pay the entire amount the very same day or they will pass on this bike to other customer. Although unfair, I somehow arranged and made the payment and told them that i will take the delivery of the bike on Monday i.e. 4th of May (we don't purchase metal things on Saturday) to which they happily agreed.
It was planned that me and my elder will board the bus early morning, reach showroom by 10:30am and then return back for my town max by 2pm. All went according to the plan and we were in the showroom by 10:30. We told the reception guy that we are here to take the delivery of RS 200 and he told the guy sitting in the cash counter about the same. The person sitting in the cash counter was the owner himself. What came next to us was really a shocker. He told us that they have the RS 200 launch event in Bhopal that day and since no other bike was available, he put my bike in that event (without even informing me). This was just unbearable and we told him that we want the delivery of the bike anyhow before 12. He made some calls and returned saying that it was not possible before 5. We kept insisting but in vain. Then we told him that as there are both the colors in the event, he can finish the press release and after that call back my yellow bike when the invitees start having lunch. Still he didn't agreed and what he said then was really out of limits. He told us that if we want then we can cancel our booking. Things were getting out of hand but we had no option but to wait
. Finally I got the delivery of the bike by 6pm. We had bought many vehicles till date (more than 10) and this was the worst experience I ever had.
Sorry it got a bit long but it was important that it comes to the knowledge of fellow members that how dealership of nowdays treat their customers.

According to the usage pattern, i'll give my suggestions:Originally posted by yudhistir View PostI am pretty confused between RS200 and the Gixxer SF. I know both are great bikes in their own regard and hence the confusion of choice
Touring: RS200 due to higher power, stability, better brakes, projector headlamps
Touring with pillion: Definitely RS due to higher torque
City ride: Gixxer SF due to lesser weight, high flickability
City ride for not-tall riders: Definitely Gixxer SF
I can't comment on comfort front as I have not been a pillion on Gixxer. About RS, pillion comfort is much higher compared to R15 or RC200 but much lesser than CBR.
If you already have a 150 cc bike, go for RS200 as you will soon get bored of low power of Gixxer SF
If this is your first bike, take a test ride and see if you are comfortable with 165 kg RS200.
OT, most of the owners will have their opinion tilted towards RS because they themselves chose RS over Gixxer SF. So, a similar query on Gixxer SF page would give you a complete picture.

1. Vibrations are manageable. I guess they will reduce after second service. Mine has some vibrations between 60-70 kmph but after 70 kmph, they disappear!Originally posted by bhargavkundem View PostTO OWNERS,

2. I have been keenly observing this and tested on my bike. Yes, there is a sound like this in my bike too but only on steep speed brakers that too on speeds > 20 kmph. But to be very frank, I dont think you should cross that kind of speed brakers at speeds > 20 kmph.
3. As per instruction manual, 2000 km. I am following this but it is upto you to follow or not.
4. No complains on this front! Just today I rode on express highway in heavy rains and was really happy with tires' grip and performance.
5. Not me. But a first time rider will. Flickability is fine but dont expect to squeeze in cramped spaces to wide RVMs.
6. I gave my bike at 8:30 am (Mine was just the second bike since morning). It was ready by 3:30 pm. Helpful and Patient: Read the ownership thread of NS and you'll know
Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Very true. I hadn't test ridden any of the two bikes, but still I changed my decision from the Gixxer SF to the RS. The sole reason was the extra 50CCs. As they say, there is no replacement for displacement!Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostAccording to the usage pattern, i'll give my suggestions:

Two tires feel better than four. Period.
