The service center mechanic never set the tappet until overhaul.

Tappets should be within permissible limit, else engine takes the beating which isn't good.

Shoot a mail to Bajaj and tell them the attitude of SVC guys towards your issue.

My bike was lying at the SVC for 2 days for the tappet settings to be done.
It was done when the engine was cold as told by the SM.

SVC have been taking utmost care with regard to RS 200.

As the issue cropped up again, the SM asked me to live with the problem.
He assured me saying that there wont be any engine problems on the long run.

Looks like i will have to take this up with the SM little more seriously.

They do the Tappet setting when ever its required.

They did make the Tappet settings as the sound from the engine had vanished, but after 20 kms it was back :-(

Tappet setting has to be done when it is required and not only on overhauling.

Get it done infront of you and make sure they use feeler gauge to adjust the tappets.

Shoot a mail to Bajaj stating tappet issue so early. I just hope it isn't a serious quality issue.
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

                    I. Am planning to buy a new byk
                    Currently having p220.

                    Confused between RS an AS.

Please suggest my the good option.

Also i am worried if the fuel injection in RS will be cestly to maintain...

Is there any minimum amount of fuel to be there in the fuel tank and what will happen if the fuel tank becomes empty in case...?

Yes, there needs to be a minimum amount of fuel in the tank for FI to work. If the bike is operated in empty tank, FI gets heated up and is destroyed. The FI system costs a bomb. Not sure about Bajaj but the one in Karizma costs around 12k.

For the query regarding the bike, please post your usage/requirement/constraints etc. Also, check out the "what bike?" section.

bro can tell me about the sound of horn... at i heard about it has only single horn and sound like 100cc bike... and also tell me about can some place available in this bike to install new minda trumpet horn...
I am not a big fan of horns. During my daily run of 23 kms, I hardly use my horns 10 times. In fact I abhore the honking types...

Going past my ranting, the horns in RS are not too loud. Definately better than 100 cc types (The horn I was using on my Karizma was the Splendor one ) but not too loud too. In one word, adequate. I stay near Mulund Nirmal Lifestyle and there are some shops in Mulund when you go towards Thane where you can get these horns.

One caution, getting additional horns can void your warranty. I think this is mentioned in the manual.
