Kick start levers would look odd on faired bikes. Hence the omission. Nothing else!
    It's form over function.

Moreover, timely maintenance would see any stock battery last a long time. They don't just die out of the blue.

In a Fi engine, Presence of a Kick start Lever is actually Form over Function.

Its not possible to Kick/Push Start a motorcycle/car with a Fi engine with an Absolutely Dead Battery/No Battery.
[1] Unless the ECM gets some charge, the Spark Plug won't know when to fire
[2] The fuel pump won't work (hence no fuel flow from the tank) unless there is some juice from the battery.

(Kick/Push starting doesn't help here if the battery is totally dead)

Without a battery powering the ECM and Fuel Pump, a Fi Engine won't start

These are either Motocross or Enduro motorcycles. Even the YBR 125G mimics a dirt bike.

Kick Start Levers somehow go with the "Image" of a Dirt Bike. But the "Fi" they are more or less "vestigial"

The SR 400 is a unique model.
It doesn't come with Electric Start, just a Kick Starter.. its more to do with the "Vintage/Retro Look" which is the USP of the SR 400

The GLAMOUR Fi slipped my mind.

Its (Kick Lever) there to prevent scaring the "Aam Aadmi" on how would he start the bike incase the battery is down..!!

Absolutely agree about the FI aspect. I was talking about faired bikes not having a kick lever, though I think Gixxer SF (carb) has it.

Kick start may not be possible but Push start will work !! When you push the bike in gear, your coils spin and generate the power required.

I am looking for a replacement for GS150R which is an year old and run 13k kms.
The reason why I dont like GS is that the pick up and performance is bad when u have pillion rider.

Is it the same with RS too ? I travel close to 50 kms daily (20 city and 30 Highway 4 laner).

Works for Carbureted Engines... not with Fi Engines.

Had seen cars with carbs being push started in my childhood. But "push start" did not work when the battery of my car drained once.. we just exhausted ourselves.

Ultimately had to connect with another battery to get the Fuel Pump working.

Not sure about cars probably the power generated in alternator during push was not sufficient to power up the fuel pump and other basic electronics. What I stated was with my experience on my ZMR and not for argument .

I was forced to do a push start once and it had worked on my ZMR. If battery cells are dead and if they are unable to complete the circuit then it will not work.

I guess that is what payeng meant, once the battery is fully drained, there is no hope even from a push start, if the fuel pump doesn't prime its not going to start.

Drain is different and cells being dead is different. If cells are dead and circuitry is incomplete, battery has to be replaced. Even jump start will fail.

                        Hey guys
Got the Yellow ABS model delivered a few days back. Had to wait for 2 months for the delivery

Have already completed 1k KMs. Done with first service.
Changed to Motul 5100 15w50 oil

Been running pretty smooth on that.

Compared to my previous ride, Yamaha FZ16, vibes are pretty much noticeable but manageable.

It's as simple by just turning the keys to on position and the lights on high beam position.
                          Press the dipper switch.
If further any query do contact me.[emoji5]

Today near the express highway ,i was riding and suddenly a car guy braked (even i braked but it wasnt enough) and i ended up hitting him. God my groin area was paining so much luckily this happened near 2 cops . The cops and i both saw the light is green everything is clear and were wondering why the person stopped?? he was like sorry i dropped my mobile phone so i braked as i coudnt see anything when i tried picking it up . The first time in my life i felt like beating to sm1 their death. The cops also saw i was getting angry and were like sab we will take care and give fine you should continue with journey . My groin area was paining so much i didnt argue . I checked my bike for damage in the front end and found a minor crack in the carbon fiber above the Tyre area(hardly noticeable but still it annoyed me). I should have taken that dudes insurance number and got him to pay for replacement of the front end carbon fiber above my bike, but that occurred only to me after everything was settled. All i got was a stupid apology (sincere but wtf it doesnt matter) . At least the dude got to pay 1k or 2k fine to the policemen. I wonder how these people get their licenses ,i dont know how many boarding i have seen which say" dont drive when on phone" but still people dont change.
