He won despite a wheelie-ing start. Also he blocked the other rider even though the CBR might not have been able to overtake.
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

With the pillion rider, i get some kind of squeaking sound from the rear disc brakes though it isn't much noticeable while ridding without pillion!! Anyone else facing the issue? My current meter reading is some 360 kms.

Even I heard the faint sqealing noice with pillion although it is not frequent and appears only sometimes. Not sure what to make out of it...

Other RS owners, do share your experience whether you guys also hear the squeaking sound with pillion rider from rear discs!!
I hope some senior experienced riders can tell what could be the issue which brings in that sound..

                    Hi ..

This is my first post on xbhp.
I have been following this thread since day 1.
I own a RS 200 which is about 2 weeks old.

I have been facing issues with the thud noise that comes from the front shockers. I have been complaining the same to the showroom guys since day 1.
They tried fixing the issue durin 1st service, but the issue still persists.

They have told me that a Bajaj Engineer will soon be coming to Bangalore, who would inspect the issue and then take the needed action.

Also before my first service i had some noise coming in from the engine, which was actually to do with Tappet.

After the first service the tappet was set and now the issue is solved.

Sorry, I misread the whole thing, squeaking sound is from the shock absorbers, not from disc brakes. Brakes are working great, touchwood!

I cannot actually explain why the squeaking sound is coming but, If you can procure a silicone based grease you can reduce the sound by applying it on the back side of the disk pad which comes in contact with disk caliper and try to if not regularly but when ever you hear the sound clean the whole disk unit which will should also help.

Amazon.com: CRC Disc Brake Quiet 05016, 4 Fl Oz: Automotive

Don't use petroleum or regular grease which can cause fire or breaks getting unusually hot and ultimately failing.

I love India but I wish buying such product which I have given in the link was that easily available in India. We love our rides but most of time we cannot take good care of it because very common tools to solve silly problems are not available or have insane price(example chain cleaner and lubricant). Wish us motorcycle riders get more options not only in choosing our rides but also getting reliable products to care of it.

I have one doubt. What did you guys received from the bajaj dealers when you booked RS 200 by paying 5000 rupees?

All you will get from the bajaj dealership when you do the booking is 1 receipt for the 5k amount that you pay which should mention 200 rs(atleast thats what i got)

Also even i am getting that weird noise like some plastic is stuck in the rear wheel and moving ,I am assumed it was the saree guard plastic thing which maybe sometimes gets tangled in the back Tyre and gets ripped of as the noise happens sometimes and not always and then fades away on its own.In the photos i uploaded you can see the plastic cover above the chain and next to the back Tyre. I wasnt even aware of the noise being the shock absorbers(LOL) ,only now i read and since evry1 is implying its the rear shock absorbers i came to know. This noise has been coming since day1 of me getting the bike . As far as the above tapet thing and engine noise goes ,i cant make out if anything is wrong or not with the engine so i guess well come to know about that after the first servicing. Here is a video about the tappet thing.
In this how to video, we are showing you the process for correctly adjusting the engine tappets. www.pitbikedirect.com

Also if you end up cleaning the bike with a pipe of normal pressure water, you may find the bike squeaking a little bit. I dont think this is harmful but not really sure. I bought a bike cover (its the ninja 300 cover but it fits the rs also)(rough fit but other than tires everything else gets covered)

When in traffic i dont shift to neutral and keep it to 1 gear and hold the clutch down (is this harmful?) this causes my hand to start paining within 15-30 mins of driving. Is there anyway around this problem?
Also has any1 gone to pune from mumbai via the highway ,i went via car today and found not 1 bike along the way ( are bikes banned on that highway??)
