Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Same for you too. Good that you maintained upto 58 kph. If your 2000 KMs limit is gone, and if you feel your engine is a bit smoother, you can open upto 1-2K RPM (say 4 to 5.5\6) slowly. Try riding upto 6K RPM for next 500KMs and then above 7K for the rest. But it doesn't harm your engine anymoreOriginally posted by saurabhp View Post

Thanks for the suggestions and Answers ,Originally posted by jbm_guy View Post43-45 kmpl is great, which is same as my NS (When I was in run-in). But I prefer reserve approach. Well, you can slowly, say if you were doing at 4.5K so far try 5-6K for few days or few 100KMs, then slowly increase upto 7K. Post that you wont be needing much or doing much unless on highway, as post 7K you will be doing 100+ easily.
No need of oil change. But you can if you dont mind about the expenses. I did at 2nd service, no complains and no vibes. Change at 2nd service, run for a 1000KMs, then change to motul if you wish.

[QUOTE=Pawan Kajla;1171042]1. its fuel pump sound bro.. dont worry its normal.
2. when you start the bike the fuel pump is running so this sound is also come from fuel pump. fuel pump is neccesary in FI system. bcz fuel injected bike does not have fuel nobe bcz fuel pump cuts off the fuel when you turned off the engine.
3. first tell me can u have an ABS variant.
4. i dont know about that point. can u xplain it more.

hello mate,
if your rpm stuck in 3k in idle so here is solution. you need to reset your ecu... to reset ecu follow these steps carefully.
1. ride your bike or just worm up the engine till radiator fun start running.
2. now remove pillion and rider seat.
3. remove negative battery point. and turn key on and kill switch on and press the front brake one time. then turn key off.
4. put the battery negative wire back.. and tighten it.
5. now turn key on position, put your bike in neutral gear, start it and leave the bike in idle condition for 15minutes without touching anything.
6. after 15mins turn the engine off. wait 10 seconds then again turn the key on and then off.
7. all done... now your ecu is recet. and your rpm problem gone

Does this really work without any problems as i may consider doing this?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I also get mileage between 28-35 (incity and highway ) during my first service period driving always under 4k rps i was getting roughly 35 (combined) .Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostIn city conditions with lots and lots of traffice (Where I cover 12 km in 40+ min
), I get a mileage of 29-30. This is tested atleast 5 or 6 times with tank to tank method.
On my weekend ride, I got around 39 kmpl. That was full highway ride with almost zero traffic jams. These are the two extremes I have faced. I think 35 kmpl is fine during the run-in period assuming you have had your first service.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Same with me at the earlier stages. Now completed 2500 kms and by the measurement of last tank refill I got 41km/l which was all highway mostly. Total kms covered were 400 and fuel filled was 9.6l. It contained 200 km roadtrip and rest 200 daily commute to college which is 90% haighway.Originally posted by Dragonprince View PostI also get mileage between 28-35 (incity and highway ) during my first service period driving always under 4k rps i was getting roughly 35 (combined) .

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
hello everyone,
just joined the forum to ask about rs200 only
i will be upgrading from discover 125st to rs.
wanted to buy cbr250, but its way out of budget, i'll settle for bumblebee.
a few things that i wanted to clear before ordering:
1. vibration at low rpms: is it considerable? more than 125st?
2. should i wait till diwali, in hopes for a good offer, or all black color version (if there is one)
3. alloy wheel breaking controversy: was quite concerned about that, does the bike feels safe during hard breaking.
4. comfort: i have done few long runs on 125st, was quite comfortable, without any pain.
5. exchange offer: what amount will i get(approx.) for my discover, 22k kms, 3 years, mrf zapper q tubeless. one bajaj dealer said 20-25k
i am planning for abs version, bit over budgeted, but if it saves even 1 accident, it will recover its cost

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
The vibration is significant (but manageable) it occurs between 55-70 speed . The braking does make me feel little scared ,but i am a new driver so cant really say much on that . really comfortable compared to other bikes ,only problem is hands(wrist region) may go stiff in journey of more than 20 mins. Putting the 150 rupees bike handle grips does make it much better .Originally posted by Sachin Upmanyu View Posthello everyone,

Of course RS200 is a lot better than discover 125, what are you talking about?
2. should i wait till diwali, in hopes for a good offer, or all black color version (if there is one)
If you can wait for black color, as it hides most of the curves and makes it really beautiful, But wait for some new launches rather for offer, the price will only increase by time as already RS sales are picking up well, Bajaj has increased the production capacity
3. alloy wheel breaking controversy: was quite concerned about that, does the bike feels safe during hard breaking.
Yes, that indeed slowed down the RS sales a bit, with many asking for remedy. Hope newer batches will have it fixed\identified, nothing to worry
4. comfort: i have done few long runs on 125st, was quite comfortable, without any pain.
Really?, Are you sure?. Because anything beyond 60 was only a dream to me on discover 125. And the 125 engine has it's limited cruising speed of just 50-60kmph. After driving for 110Kms a day, I almost felt fatigue and severe aches the next day on my disc 125. I don't know how much is your longer (100 or 200 KMs). But if you managed long drive on dis 125 comfortably, then you sure will feel at home on this bike, that's assured. When I did TD, the bike felt stable all times, but you will feel bloody heavy as dis125 weighs just 110+ KGs, a 60+ KG is like a pillion sitting back
5. exchange offer: what amount will i get(approx.) for my discover, 22k kms, 3 years, mrf zapper q tubeless. one bajaj dealer said 20-25k
I sold my Discover 125 disc ~18Kms, less than 3 years, mrf for 23.5K through olx, 25 is a sweet deal, just do it. You wont get any better. But try olx\quickr first. Selling through dealers will sometimes put you in trouble (in case the buyer met with accident, etc) if the buyer from the dealer didn't do re-registration or insurance renewal.
i am planning for abs version, bit over budgeted, but if it saves even 1 accident, it will recover its cost
That's for sure a good decision. But think about CBR250 one more time. It'd be a lot better, well tested, better brakes, vibe free, best for highway cruising and proved model. Also has C_ABS dual channel unlike RS, single channel.

RS is a great fairing bike to own, no doubt but, in my opinion, if you are planning to spend up to 1.5L, why not think about CBR250?. The non-ABS version comes ~1.7 - ~1.8L (Depends on your City). In Chennai, it sells for 1.76L.
With ~30K more, I believe you not only get a more powerful quarter-liter motorcycle, but also a well proven and well refined engine. Test drive RS and CBR back to back and then prove me wrong.
Sorry to bring controversies and diversion in to RS thread here , but I'm just suggesting you as you are planning to spend close to 1.5LWish you a happy hunting down

wanted to buy cbr250, but its way out of budget, i'll settle for bumblebee.
a few things that i wanted to clear before ordering:
1. vibration at low rpms: is it considerable? more than 125st?
Ans. Its less viby than d125st. But still not soo smooth as a activa
2. should i wait till diwali, in hopes for a good offer, or all black color version (if there is one)
Ans. No big offer like 15% disc or 10000Rs accessories free would be coming seeing the market scenario. Still our gates are open for any offer
3. alloy wheel breaking controversy: was quite concerned about that, does the bike feels safe during hard breaking.
Ans. That was a rare case of rim breaking. You only think a home Co won't sell such poor quality products in domestic market any day. You may have heard many cases like this against pulsar but their lies some unknown truth also.
4. comfort: i have done few long runs on 125st, was quite comfortable, without any pain.
Ans. I too have a D125ST and really its quote comfortable. Riding posture of rs200 is quite sporty due to its foot peg position and handle bar. Won't be a problem for crushing on highways any day. Might feel little discomforting in city. But overall a better option than rest in market.
5. exchange offer: what amount will i get(approx.) for my discover, 22k kms, 3 years, mrf zapper q tubeless. one bajaj dealer said 20-25k
Ans. I too have a D125ST with me which I am planning to sell soon and last week I got a estimate of approx 35K. I don't know how is your bikes condition but my dealer told he will give 35K in exchange.
i am planning for abs version, bit over budgeted, but if it saves even 1 accident, it will recover its cost
I am also in a dilemma of choosing. CBR250(Used. If in a better condition) / duke 200/ Mahindra mojo/ as200
All my answers are given after your questions. Hope everything is clearIts not the Bike that makes a Biker perfect, its a Biker who makes his Bike perfect :)
