Congrats Sandesh...

So either Bajaj has boosted their production or all the negative marketing about RS decreased the demand...

In your support, I am yet to see a single RS200 on Chandigarh roads. My daily drive is 70Km over 2.5 hours in total. Still none spotted till date. Can you please share what's the basis for negative marketing against RS200? None of the owners are reporting major issues that seem to be deal breakers. TIA.

Firstly I would like to say in bold IAM AN RS OWNER MYSELF AND FOUND NO FAULTS YET IN MY RIDE...

The negative marketing was related to handle breakage and wheel alloy breakages... Witnessed the first issue in my friend's bike when had a crash in high speed...

In recent days I have also seen fairing damaged very bad in crashes or slides even at 40kmph speeds.. Quality of fairing material not that great it seems..

Iam waiting for frame sliders that can be fit for RS.... I STILL LOVE MY BIKE UNCONDITIONALLY

Yes. Even I'd like to know.

Except the heaviness, there's nothing as such which makes the bike hateable.

Trust me you'll appreciate the difference in the weight if you move to RS from a naked bike.

I would say bike's weight adds stability in high speeds... I experienced the difference between NS and RS myself...

As one of the owner myself, I too feel that the plastic and other body parts used in the bike is way too below average quality. Even the stickering too. They peel off very easily. Getting scratches on this bike is quite normal. Recently my bike fell on an Aloe Vera plant because of a stupid monkey, and literally plastic got a cut hole!!

I have driven a Karizma for 6 years (2004-2010) and I would point out that the fairing wasn't special in that either. It got cracked from multiple location when I once hit a dark colored cow at an unlit road coz I was blinded by an idiot Tata Safari driver coming from the opposite side with 6-8 auzillary lights illuminating the road. Fairing is made of fiber and its always better if the fairing and handle absorbs the damage rather than more crucial components. Bajaj should improve the quality of the handle for sure besides improving the quality of the stickers, paint and plastics. They seem to have tried too hard to keep the prices down.

yankashyap26, I booked my bike on Monday, and they told that bike will be delivered by Wednesday! But they gave some reason "sir, some folders are missing" or something. But I got my bike with the number plate painted by Thursday.

Here is the video from which the screenshot has been taken.

Also, please have a look at the following video. It shows a brand new Pulsar RS200 at a dealership having the lit Check engine error light and also the ABS error light. Dunno whats going on here but this does not look good.

As per what I know,
Ex-showroom price, Bangalore- Correct as per Bajaj RS200 website.
Life time tax- You can calculate yourself if you know the percentage of tax applicable in Bangalore for bike costing 1.3 Lacs.
Insurance- Here, you can save upto Rs500 or so if you try different insurance companies but here in Chandigarh I was quoted Rs3200.
Registration card- Seems ok.
Handling charges- Are these handling charges meant for RTO registration process? (You know what I mean ) Or are these handling charges for transportation of the bike to the dealer? I assume its for the RTO registration.

Few days back when I saw RS200 parked outside a Bajaj dealer, I also asked for a quotation out of interest. Following was the quotation for Chandigarh.

Ex-showroom price: Rs 1,32,500/- (Bajaj website says RS200 not yet available in Chandigarh and Delhi price is Rs1,30,000/-)
Temporary number- Rs150/-
Insurance- Rs3200/-

Registration is to be done by the owner within next 30 days of taking delivery so that price is not included.
Hi... Abs light glow til u reach 8 km/hr.. then it will get off.. if it glows even after 8 km/hr. Then their is some problem in ABS...But in tht video engine error light blinks.. so seems be some problem there...
Regarding RPM limit.. I read somewhere in DUKE forum tht Svc will set the RPM limit before delivery and change it after drive in period is done...
I see very few RS and AS in streets...As per Svc bajaj have already started manufacturing NS again...

Hi.. I read the XBHP frame slider discussion thread.. they say it will safe guard ur fairing if bike falls from standstill or at very low speeds like less than 20km/hr.. even the moderate speed crash will bend ur chasis..why do u wanna take risk buddy...

.
Rpm configurable - no, currently is only with duke/rc console. The video might have displayed the initial check sequence. Rs200 and as200 consoles are the same as 200ns except some additions for abs/fi like in 220f. Certainly some indications will change, it did change with 2012 model ns and the recent ns, like side stand indicator note displays in lcd instead of led, engine temperature warning in led, etc.
