There is a shop in Karol Bagh area that has started stocking a few mods for Pulsar RS200. Search "Pulsar RS200 Modified" on Youtube and you'd comr across a perdon who has modified the exhaust of his red RS200 ABS. He hasnt specified the name of the shop but has mentioned the phone number in one of the 2 videos if I recall correctly.

There is another video in which a person is showing his RS200 with K&N air filter no. RC-1060. I am typing from phonr on end of the month slow crawling net else would have posted link to both videos.

Does anyone knows what is the cost of this kind of exhaust? This the replica of Yoshimura exhaust. It sounds really bassy and lound in decent manner.

I have a couple of questions for everyone in the forum and would request for a quick answer to all questions:

                1. Did anyone face issues with FI system?
                2. what is the minimum amount of fuel you need to ride on RS200? is it 3 and a half litres? How does other FI bikes behave? those who have had experience on Honda CBR250 please do answer.
                3. I asked for a quotation for Red ABS in Bangalore marathahalli khivraj. I was quoted 154K+. Those who have purchased in Bangalore, is this amount correct?
                4. Does the above quoted amount include number plate printing?
                5. how much fuel do showroom guys give?

Kindly answer as soon as possible as i need to pick up bike preferably on monday. The showroom guy was saying a PDI is done on bikes for at least 15Km, ridden by service centre guys, i believe this is wrong. what are you opinions?

                TIA...
                1. No issues with FI as such till now... I trust FI quality even if it is from Bajaj in this case.
                2. Not less than 2ltrs. It's called deadstock and try never run into that. For safety I maintain 3ltrs.
                3. Irrespective of which city the quote is, ask them the split and try getting it explained in detail. That will be easy for comparison.
                4. Some dealers have tie up with number printing shops. Mine was free. But is very basic and not at all stylish. I like it simple though.
                5. I got a fuel of 3ltrs of deadstick from showroom with only 1km odometer reading. I have done all the pdi myself never allowed them to ride my bike until after first service. The Bajaj company does pdi and gives test ok sticker but its always safe to check everything to make sure nothing got damaged in transit.

I have a question about my RS200 which i cant figure out. My bike does 80kmph at 6k rpm and 90kmph at 7k rpm on 6th gear. Is that normal or is the rpm too much for that speed. I used to think that im riding on 5th gear but i did check multiple times and it is indeed the 6th gear. I also have issues like mentioned earlier in this thread of throttle staying at a certain rpm for a few seconds. While engaging the clutch for downshifting or upshifting the rpm stays at 2k rpm for atleast 5 seconds or more and then idles to 1.4k. rpm. Can someone please shed some light on this
                  Could be the ecu?

Is that a issue??? Mine behaves in the same way...
Also 3.5 k to 4.5 k rpm vibration is almost gone.. it's getting worse when we come down from higher RPM to 4.5 k... I have completed 1200 km...

This is like auto choke but done by ecu. But don't understand why it does just evertime. Wait for some more kms, your run in isn't complete yet.

                        2. Almost everyday I hear that squealing sound in morning from front disc.. after applying brake couple of times it will fade away.. Svc guys said nothing to worry..
3 & 4. I too hear the same when i ride very slow in zero traffic.. I think it might be related to ABS(speed sensor).. Not sure though...
Thanks for the reply. You know when the RPM needle goes up and then down when you turn the key to the "ON" position. At times it makes a machine sound like it sounds right but the other times, its more of a squealing sound.

[QUOTE=Pawan Kajla;1171042]1. its fuel pump sound bro.. dont worry its normal.
                        2. when you start the bike the fuel pump is running so this sound is also come from fuel pump. fuel pump is neccesary in FI system. bcz fuel injected bike does not have fuel nobe bcz fuel pump cuts off the fuel when you turned off the engine.
                        3. first tell me can u have an ABS variant.
                        4. i dont know about that point. can u xplain it more.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have the ABS variant. For the fourth point, I'll try and get a recording.

Do you know the Ex-showroom price, insurance, road tax percent and rrgistration charges? You can in that case verify the on road price. As per what I have learned after interacting with various forum members on different forums, the dealers are also used to paying a small under table fee for registration at RTO so that the process is quicker. Not sure as here in North, the owners are given the vehicles with a temporary number and the RTO registration is left for the owner to do.
                          Hi, thanks for replying.

Following is the breakup i have:

                          Life time tax: 17563/-

                          handling charges: 1439/-

Folks who bought from Bangalore, is this the kind of breakup u got?

                          1) The FI system on this bike works flawlessly. No issues as of now.

                          2) Not much idea about this but until 2 litres there'll be no problem.

                          3) For me in Ahmedabad, I was quoted 149k on bill.

                          4) Maybe not.

                          5) I got only 1 litre.

When I picked up my bike it had already done 30km. They told me same excuse as well. They told me that they have to take the bike to some other showroom for PDI check which was nearly 10kms away from that place.
Thanks for the info buddy. Need clarification from folks in Bangalore.

Friends, I was looking at a review video of RS200 exhaust note by powerdrift and saw that the RPM limiter light came up at 5500rpm. Is it configurable in RS200? This is quite baffling.

Also, please have a look at the following video. It shows a brand new Pulsar RS200 at a dealership having the lit Check engine error light and also the ABS error light. Dunno whats going on here but this does not look good.

                            As per what I know,
Ex-showroom price, Bangalore- Correct as per Bajaj RS200 website.
Life time tax- You can calculate yourself if you know the percentage of tax applicable in Bangalore for bike costing 1.3 Lacs.
Insurance- Here, you can save upto Rs500 or so if you try different insurance companies but here in Chandigarh I was quoted Rs3200.
                            Registration card- Seems ok.
Handling charges- Are these handling charges meant for RTO registration process? (You know what I mean ) Or are these handling charges for transportation of the bike to the dealer? I assume its for the RTO registration.

Few days back when I saw RS200 parked outside a Bajaj dealer, I also asked for a quotation out of interest. Following was the quotation for Chandigarh.

Ex-showroom price: Rs 1,32,500/- (Bajaj website says RS200 not yet available in Chandigarh and Delhi price is Rs1,30,000/-)
                            Temporary number- Rs150/-
                            Insurance- Rs3200/-

Registration is to be done by the owner within next 30 days of taking delivery so that price is not included.
