I am not that well built comparing with the bike, just 5,6 at 55kgs so letting it go was the only option.
Really, at your weight and height if you can manage to handle such big bike, that's great I really appreciate you.

Bike just looks big, but once you get over it, you will hardly feel that you are riding something this big. The only issue comes when I need to move the bike back while sitting, for that I have to get down and then pull the bike.

The fairing makes the bike look bigger. But how is the turn radius?. Can you make U turns in short radius like any 150c bike?. I felt it huge only. But that was few mnutes ride, couldnt' figure it out. Being a naked, NS turns over a large radius which is a big hectic in narrow streets.

Nope RS also has a large turning radius and contributing to it's weight, you just can't turn the handle to full to make a U-turn.

Hi Friends, I have started reeving to 5.5k to 6.5k RPM, after the first service which is 500KMS, will this cause any side effect to the vehicle. Please advise.

6.5K?, For eg, in 6th gear @6.5K = >100+ kph, Don't you think that's too high for a just born baby?.

Be patient till 1000 Kms at least. Make it 4.5K to 5.5K

Agree with jbm_guy this rpm is too high. Limit to 4.5-5k till 1000 km and then progressively start building up the RPM in 500 km bracket. Avoid sudden acceleration and engine lugging too.

It doesn't go beyond 146kmph solo. I weigh around 75kg and 5.11. If there was a downhill things would have been different. "Speed tested at NH8 early morning 7 am with jacket and knee armours ON"

Cheers,

That's good, it's still faster than claimed. But if we consider any speed error (1% or 2%), I think the claimed figure for RS is 142 kph is right. Yes with downhill, you can gather a bit more.

Thanks.

With bajaj, you can never trust the speedo. The actual difference will be around 8-9 kmph so if we test it with GPS attached, It will hover around 138-139kmph. If CBR's actual speed is 7-8 kmph less than indicated speed, the same will be the case with RS too.

Cheers

You know right, the 2012 batch NS had about up to 6-8% speedo error and hence many claimed that they were able to do even 140-150+ upwards (in youtube) which is simply not possible without mods. However, 150/8% error = ~136 kph which is what Bajaj claimed and also by the media. But however batches post 2013 of NS they have corrected it to close to 2-3%, hence if you check NS forums, many would have stated that their NS does only ~135-140. I can confirm that too, I did ~80 on my speedo and saw the same indicated in the Honda Civic when riding on the NH. But in NS, to get past 130+, need to max at 4th, 5th and tug down. I personally couldn't cross beyond 128 kph till date.

As of now only ZMR is considered ~ <1% error free.

But RS should even be precise than NS. This is what is said in the manual of NS

About the top speed - I managed to touch 152km/h on speedometer on a plain road. But it was just for a second, after that, though my throttle was max. it automatically came down to 147-148km/h. At 152km/h you feel that the engine got switched off for a second which lowers the speed by 4-5km/h. I tried this 3-4 times and I find it very strange!

It's the rev limiter coming into play here to avoid the engine from being maxed out for longer duration.
