Sorry my friend, but this seems too good to be true. Common sense dictates if by removing rev limiter a bike could give best performance with best mileage, then the manufacturers would not have installed it in the first place!Originally posted by Pawan Kajla View PostECU remapping commonly using for removing rev limiter... after that bike will give u best performance with best mileage... it can be done by KIIRUS mumbai and UDMOTORX delhi...

According to my limited knowledge, any mod that increases performance WILL decrease mileage and engine life.
If you are seriously considering an ECU remap, try to get more understanding on it. Otherwise, you might end up destroying your beloved vehicle.Last edited by rachitsharma2000; 06-11-2015, 10:13 PM.Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

Not entirely true always.Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostAccording to my limited knowledge, any mod that increases performance WILL decrease mileage and engine life.
Let's keep ECU remaps out. If you plonk a better breathing air filter with a free flow exhaust, the bike would breathe better and minus excessive back pressure, give some performance boost with a marginal increase in mileage too. But consider your engine's life reduced to 50-60% of stock.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

But any mod you do to the internals must be well researched and your own decision. Don't fall into traps you're not sure of.Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostNext target: Read more about ECU remap and understand exhaust operation!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
This happened 2 days ago , It wasnt raining ,i was riding on proper road . The car dude suddenly braked near a green signal(there was no1 ahead of him or next to him) Luckily there were cops watching so he got fined(karma). I have so far ridden the bike roughly 200 km since purchase (which includes the 20km from the showroom which the showroom dude has used). As situation presents itself i will test ride other bikes and compareOriginally posted by alliwanted View PostI think this might have happened due to tyres not the brakes. Tyres requires good amount of time around 200-300kms run for getting usable for daily rides. Fresh sets of Tyres won't give you much bite. As you said you are new to biking try other bikes for testing brakes and then compare yours. Can you tell me when this incident happened and how much kms you did cover and road conditions.
Sent from my MI 3W using xBhp Connect mobile app
.i havent gone above 60 speed till now and most of my breaking has been very slow and usually almost all times the back brake.

Angel eye led light looks really interesting to use it around the projector headlamps.
Can anyone shed some light if it is worth the effort??

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I am not planning any mods! I do not believe in going through that path to extract a mere bhp or two. When I need more power, I will start saving money and if conditions permit, buy a bigger bike. Call me old fashioned but I like my bike in stock condition.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostBut any mod you do to the internals must be well researched and your own decision. This was just to understand my love better, not change it. As they said in a movie "Koi pyaar kare to tum se kare, tum jaise ho waise kare. Jo tumko badal k kare wo pyar nahi sauda hai. Aur sahiba, pyar me sauda nahi..." (Translation: If someone loves you, he should love you the way you are. If he tries to change you, it's not love, but business. And Sahiba, no business in love...")
Shit, I should not have had that last peg...

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
My first post in this forum
I am new to biking world, but have developed taste to cruise recently.
I am thinking of getting RS 200 for the same. Would you suggest RS 200 to a new biker? (I am quite comfortable with smaller bikes like Splender etc).
Also, I checked Jai Bajaj showroom in Chennai for on-road price, and they quoted around 1.49L. It sounds quite high - at least 10k more that what others have said in this forum. Can someone from Chennai let me know whether the price is correct, or in case I can get a cheaper one where can I go?
Thanks a lot in advance
(This forum has been very useful to set the expectations correct with the bike.)

RS200 is the heaviest 200cc bike available in the market + it is fully faired. So, you might face some problems if this is your first bike. Highly advisable to take a test drive before deciding. Check out earlier posts by Dragonprince or msg him as this was his first bike too. He is the best person to give you advise.
1.49 L seems right for the ABS version. Mine costed me about 1.53 L on road in Mumbai. The non ABS is available for approx 13 k less. But as this would be your first bike, I strongly suggest to go for the ABS version.Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

Seems like there are problems with test drive in Chennai as someone has already mentioned. In any case, I will recheck with the dealer.
Moreover my brother owns a Gixxer, I will do some practice in that bike (given that the waiting period is quite long for RS 200, I believe I have some time to train myself.)

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey Guys,
I had this problem from my bike since the first day, which was to do with the tappet noise from the ENgine.
The Showroom guyz did fix the issue during first serviceby setting the tappet.
The Problem creeped in again in another 20 kms of riding.
I have raised this issue many times, but the service manger has asked me to live with this issue
Is there no solution to the tappet adjustment ?
And if living with this is the only option. then will i have any engine related issues on the longer run ??
I read some wher online that if tappet is not adjusted properly, it might lead to loss of combustion, power issues on the longer run :'(
Please help...

Tappets have to be adjusted when the engine is 'dead cold'. SVC guys are always reluctant to do jobs which require effort from them.Originally posted by DDR View PostHey Guys,

Tappets should be within permissible limit, else engine takes the beating which isn't good.
Shoot a mail to Bajaj and tell them the attitude of SVC guys towards your issue. The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!
Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.
