Also it is hard to get to Neutral from 1st gear, but very easy to do so from 2nd.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I did notice the bike going into neutral instead of going into 1st to 2nd or from 2nd to 1st. The bike screams, but goes nowhere, the "N" in the dash doesn't glow either. Usually happens when shifter is pressed gently while changing gears, I guess we need to be manly and show it who is boss!Originally posted by Black0ut View Post

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I had a suggestion if you wanna take it into consideration. Try integrating your brake lights into the signal lights. Normally people would integrate the blinkers into the brake lights but given the stupid tail light design of the RS, you might wanna do the exact opposite.Originally posted by amarme001 View PostIt was so disappointing to see the tail lamp and its not even quirky
, it looks like an after thought and I am still doing some mods with the lamps as sourcing parts for mounting lights has become big problem.
Yeah I hated it even before I bought it, but I was sold out by the engine and the VFM angle.
And here is the tail lamp every one is asking about
, still in development phase.
I am planning on getting an RS200 myself early next year if something else doesnt surprise me. But I am truly turned off by the tail light design. When I first saw it, I thought I will do a better mod to it but looks like you have get a lot more creative with the Mod.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
oops, it was the red RS. Also heard red RS has been stopped, is it so?.Originally posted by Black0ut View PostAs you said, gear shifting is butter smooth(very minimal flick of gear lever is enough) in half clutch.. but in the beginning days of using half clutch.. every time when i shift from 1 to 2 in traffic signal it will go to neutral and engine screeeeeeams. it was so embarrassing. Later i learned to shift hard(flicking the gear level as high as i could) from 1 to 2.. for rest of the gears minimal flick will do good but only on the flat or descending roads. I noticed that when i do very minimal flick while climbing overbridges, gear is automatically shifting down from 3rd to 2nd for example. So i always apply gear bit harder when climbing on the bridge.. Did anyone notice this..
Majority of issues are because of gear lever not slotting in properly with clutch engaged. Means, you try to apply mild pressure on the gear lever before you wanna shift and then engage the clutch, you will find the gears slot in perfectly each time. Steps follows
1. Apply pressure upward slightly underneath the lever to shift say from 1 to 2 gear
2. Pull the clutch all the way
3. Gear slots in
4. Release the clutch back
Many on hurry, will fail to push enough amount of pressure till the end of the notch for each gear. Applying right amount of pressure will completely alleviate this problem. You can try this today. You will start noticing improvements. In case of downshifting, again the same procedure. Sometimes 2/8 attempts on 1-N-2 will fail that's because of the gearbox quality. But on practice that can be nullified.

Yeah, that's common. It's not 100% perfect enough to find if you have slotted the gear correctly, it's a mechanical device. I've had this with my Disco125 earlier many times. The bike will be out of gear (neutral like), but alas no "N" indicator glows. You "think" it's neutral because the engine doesn't connect with the gearbox. But it is somewhere dangling between two notches. Insuch cases, a slight gentle push again on the gear lever will bring back things normal.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostI did notice the bike going into neutral instead of going into 1st to 2nd or from 2nd to 1st. In this case, the bike is in between neutral and gear 2, so the indicator doesn't glow. It thinks you are in gear 2, but you are somewhere between reaching 2
.
If you had applied enough pressure prior to shifting, this wouldn't occur. So try applying enough pressure prior to shifting. The bike is completely normal. With practice you can bring it..

Those are strobe lights and are very bright will post a night pic to give better Idea and it can be seen even from the side.Originally posted by Ankitsingh007 View PostOh didn't saw that [emoji28]
But aren't those too small for brake light?[emoji26] [emoji26]
so it is very safe.
Those are not actually simple led lights, those are strobe light and are actually quite bright, that's why I moved it all the way back tucked nicely where its less visible.Originally posted by Black0ut View PostLooks great... It will be perfect if you get a prominently visible tail lamp... Not for looks.. Thinking of safety
I actually had that idea of integrating the break light into indicator, but the indicator are sealed , so its out of question and I like the stock indicators.Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostI had a suggestion if you wanna take it into consideration. I had this mod in mind when I first bought the yellow RS and after getting the black one it was just down to getting free time and I wanted a mod which was easy to remove and going back to stock was very less time consuming.

Thanks bro , still working on lights to make it more amazing.
If your thinking of integrating the light under pillion seat, its not possible. But possibility is never a question if you can get creative.Originally posted by fundoozzz View Postany possibility of something like this?
But you can use a stick on led lights and paste it under the pillion seat to get almost the same look.
Thanks Bro I did get well, and using the 200 NS was the best option as it is a direct fit and going back to stock under 10 minutes of time is what I personally wanted and I didn't wanted to go above 500/- INR budget.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostHey bro nice work so far!
I believe the ZMR (2014) taillight will look good on the RS but it will require some work on your part. It's a good looking light but somehow doesn't gel with the ZMR since it is quite a big and bulky bike.
Just my opinion, I wonder if someone will ever try it!
Do keep us posted and hope you get well soon!
Using ZMR tail is possible but would be time and money consuming and require special skills, which I sadly do not posses

A slight push is needed to slot the cog properly into place. Owners should keep this in mind to avoid any embarrassing scenes in the city!
Exactly what I thought. It requires a little skill to fit. Regardless, your work so far is promising, do keep us posted!Originally posted by amarme001 View Post

Well bro,if u put on more led lights there below the both led lights respectively in the holes as like the first ones, than that's gonna look more appealing, clear and awesome too i guess 😊Originally posted by amarme001 View PostThose are strobe lights and are very bright will post a night pic to give better Idea and it can be seen even from the side.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Nice work there. However, being a fellow rider, wanted to caution you about "SAFETY".
I hope the White LED lights you have mounted are not bright enough to blind the rider/driver behind you. THIS CAN CAUSE ACCIDENTS.
All, please be aware of such mods which can lead to accidents.
Of late riders/ drivers are affected by High Beams from opposite oncoming traffic with more automobiles having projector lamps. Hope this mod doesnt create that sitution of blindness.
Thanks.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Thanks for the suggestion bro!! But i had already visited yelagiri and i wanted to go somewhere else. Not many people know about Horsley Hills and Talakona. I came across of it after searching for a less crowded, not so popular places and i had that in my bucket list in nearby places around chennai category. You have to check it out. The crowd is less, so a lot cleaner and its a lot lot better than Yelagiri. In terms of climate and views. Its a very small place on top. Only couple of stay places. But one of the serene places One more reason was, I was in run-in where i cant cross 60KMPH. So the route also made sense. I had very good time until my return leg after i started nearing tamilnadu border.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostCouldn't stop appreciating for your write up. It was all good, but some pictures would have spoken a lot. You could try yelagiri trip which is comparatively shorter and roads are good. I have ridden tirupathi-thiruthani-thiruvallur-mudichur route several times. The roads are good and scenic. Also try carrying some repair kits when you trip long beyond 200kms.
Ride at safe speed, remember our NH roads are only as good to carry speed of 90-110max....
I was too much cautious about my bike that i didn't take any good enough ones with bike. But to give the feel of the place, i will add one pic.
Will try a travelogue soon. But lack of much pics is what is holding me up. Let me see.

Yeah so true..once happened with me on the highway..an fz was in front of me which had the tail cut and his brake lights were just a strip of angel-like lights.i didn't observe that due to oncoming cars with high beam..luckily, didn't collide with the fz that dayOriginally posted by Dheeraj gupta View PostNice work there. Had lots of trouble mounting those three lights and keeping the wiring as hidden as possible , if there is a way to mount another led for safety will definitely do.Originally posted by kalyan.46 View PostWell bro,if u put on more led lights there below the both led lights respectively in the holes as like the first ones, than that's gonna look more appealing, clear and awesome too i guess 😊
I have plan for that big LED bar and it is bright, but won't be for longOriginally posted by Dheeraj gupta View PostNice work there. However, being a fellow rider, wanted to caution you about "SAFETY".

There are many motorcycles with broken tail light cover which directly hit you with the yellow bulb light and trucks add additional yellow and what not color lights at the back and all around to be visible. I have suffered many times and won't do the same to others.Originally posted by kalyan.46 View PostYeah so true..once happened with me on the highway..an fz was in front of me which had the tail cut and his brake lights were just a strip of angel-like lights.i didn't observe that due to oncoming cars with high beam..luckily, didn't collide with the fz that day

Seems like Bajaj is slowly bringing one rabbit after another out of its hat.
Clicked at some dealership recently.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey guys quick question - I gave my bike for 2nd service today. The svc asked me to pay for the following things:
Bajaj DTSi oil - 490/-
Oil filter - 80/-
Consumables charge - 300/-
Chain overhaul - 125/-
Total - 995+tax
Can anyone tell me what are Consumables charges? And does chain overhaul mean chain cleaning and lubing?
The service center is popular Bajaj at baneerghatta road, Bengaluru.

But get a confirmation from them
300 for consumables is way too much. They usually charge about 50 rupees here in Mumbai. Ask the service centre guys to give a proper breakup for the consumables.---

Could it be for 3m Teflon coating? During the 1st service I paid around 550/- and got a coupon and the svc guy told me I could use the coupon thrice.Originally posted by santosh.k View PostChain overhaul is usually cleaning and lubing.
