What did you pay 10k extra for ?
If the dealer gave you the receipts that the RTO gives for registration then he hasn't cheated you as such.
      You have two options now
      1. To contact the dealer and get him to follow up with the RTO
      2. Head to the RTO and inquire about the RC book.

(40km) . I couldn't take the pics before we did all these.
however the front wheel also has a dent which was not severe but still visible. Will post that tomorrow.
I think the mag wheels are of poor quality which lead to this .Both the wheels got affected.
If they does not cover it under warranty i'll go for insurance and press this issue to the bajaj customer care.
That's too bad. It shouldn't deform even when taking heavy potholes. At least Bajaj should realize this now. Don't make them prove their statement bro. Be confident on the reasons. They will force us to accept their deficiency for money or by brutal force. Get you job done anyway.

          Chennai guys enjoy...
That's good to hear, which is not a belly exhaust. Did you try starting or stopping in water?. We had the same, living near a lake is like living near a volcano... Never know...!!! Good the lake was about to overflow, rain almost stopped. Thank god...!!

I had taken my NS numerous times in knee deep water. Stopped and started (like those videos on Bajaj website) to test that feature (when I bought it new). It was a cool feature that Duke and NS had which none other bikes had. While I drive normally on such deep water, whereas other bikes will struggle and rev harder to keep water from entering in.

But till headlamp, I don't know. It's all good until the water enters the air filter or battery compartments. If it does, then it's a catastrophe

Installed White Rim Tapes for my bike.
            Cost : 100 INR.
Got them from JC road (Bengaluru).

The one I installed aren't reflective ones, they are more expensive. I inquired at an Automobile Sticker shop, they told they have to cut out the required dimensions from a reflective sticker chart and would cost around 500-700 INR, for all 4 sides of the rims. You can get the reflective rim tapes online too(pre-cut). I bought plain white ones which were pre-cut and tried to paste them myself, its wasn't difficult. Just make sure you clean the rims with shampoo, a lot. Trust me you don't want any dust where you paste the rim tapes or it might peel off.
            Cheers!!

No bro i didnt try switching off.. I was confident enough that it would not get off but not dare enough to off my bike.. If my bike didnt make it out of water yesterday i would have been in deep trouble as No power or water in my place..

Yes, anyway that wasn't the right time to test. I tried it when it rained little.... Hope your area has recovered back. Leaving your bike in water is also not good....

I went to the SVC to meet the bajaj representative, and they are not ready to give the warranty for the wheels, their explanation: "since it happened due to an external impact like potholes , it wont cover under warranty", my argument of the wheel being of substandard quality to bend at such an impact was not acceptable for them.

So if the manufacturers gives a wheel that is of low quality and fails at a small impact are we supposed to live with that?
they say if the force exceeds a certain limit the wheel is designed to bend or fail to avoid the impact to the remaining parts including rider,
now i wonder what their limit for this particular force is .. !!

                        In which showroom you bought!!??
Make a complaint to bajaj by email..
Then explain same incident to other moto blogs, they will give some idea to claim your warranty!!

I feel you bud When it comes to external damages companies don't give a shit..! Its not that we cause accidents on purpose do we?!
Well for now as Sandesh0505 mentioned in #1675, see if you can raise the issue with Bajaj's President. Shoot a mail to Bajaj too in the meantime. If nothing works out, no other option but to cover the damages from your Insurance Policy.
