Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Don't Worry its the noise coming from the contraction of the metal of the exhaust . I have Yellow Karizma R 2015 , Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 , Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Honda CBR 250R model and ALL have the same noise more or less . During the first 500 KM the noise was more in all the bikes and after wards the noise got lowered and as I changed my oil the engine got smooth , less vibration , smooth ride and less stress on the bike . Don't worry and don't take it to the mechanic they tend to charge for silly problems . In one sentence - YOUR BIKE IS FINE - !!Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostI don't think that's the one. I've too heard that sound from Apache, old P220, and even other models. I think that's from exhaust and due to metal cooling down. I guess, but not sure. But heard none with my bike. Could be newer bikes have a good exhaust design or so...!!
A tappet related noise will be continuous and won't stop. But when riding at high RPMs, you might not hear it. Put in neutral and one can easily hear it.

If you are using Synthetic oil for the first time please use the Semi-Synthetic at first for 2 - 3K KMs after that use any Synthetic oil ! - SPECIALLY FOR RS . I use Shell AX7 10w40 on Karizma R , Motul 300v 10w40 on Pulsar RS 200 , Mobil 1 10w40 on Ninza 300 , and Shell Ultra on Honda CBR 250 .Originally posted by Dipan12 View PostDon't Worry its the noise coming from the contraction of the metal of the exhaust . According to standing :-Originally posted by Black0ut View PostThat's one wonderful lineup of bikes you own :-) ... You could tell us where RS Stands among those bikes.. It could be useful for the guys who wanted to buy RS...
1. Kawasaki Ninja 300 - (Best for sports)
2. Honda CBR 250R - (Best for lonnnnnnng tours)
3. Bajaj Pulsar RS200 - (Best in between Commuter and Sports)
4. Hero Karizma R 2015 - (Best in between Sports and Touring)
My personal Favourite is Karizma R , I know I sound stupid but according to me -
1. 45-46kmpl mileage (both city and highway combined)
2. Neither too sporty position nor too commuter position.
3. Less maintenance - in every 2000 KM - Engine oil change , oil filter clean , spark plug clean , drive chain lube and clean , and thats all . And at every 10,000 KM - spark plug change , air filter change , disk brakes and drum pads change , battery charge , starter motor clean , fuel pipe change and centrifugal oil filter clean - BAAASSS and nothing more
4. HONDA engine - I love the engine very much , whenever I feel to go in a relax manner the engine behaves calmly and whenever I have a rush to to speed up the engine obeys my command .
5. HIGH RESALE VALUE - Than all the bikes stated above .
6. Good speed - 143 KMPH ! - its not manic like Ninja and not too slow like Discover series . I love the balance.
But Dude if you want your RS 200 to be perfect see this -
At every 2000 KM :-
1. Engine oil change - MOTUL/ELF/SHELL/MOBIL (never use BAJAJ DTSI OIL) - Don't give a damn about warranty !
2. Oil filter change - don't clean
3. Spark plug change - don't clean - because it will have a good performance and also have the good FE.
4. Air filter clean - infront of you - they tend to ignore .
5. Drive Chain - lube and clean - ONLY USE MOTUL or 3M - Amazon
6. Battery Charge - PLEASE DO THIS by which you will have no starting problem .
7. Disk Brake - Both - Clean .
8. Coolant LEVEL - CHECK OR FILLUP .
9. BIKE wash - MUST - you will be astonished how much dirt comes out - NO DIRT NO ENGINE HEATING UP
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At every 10,000 KM :-
1. Air filter change
2. Fuel filter clean - if you have . or petrol tank clean up and change the fuel pipe .
3. Disk brakes change - both
4. Sproket wear check and drive chain check .
5. Coolant change and fill up - MUST
6. Disk brakes - fluid top up .
7. STARTER MOTOR CLEAN - IMPORTANT.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thats all !! . I love my Bikes and THESE ARE THE SERVICE I DO IN ALL MY BIKES .
Take a good care and it will be best .

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hellos, I read this thread almost daily, have learned a lot from it, but never posted anything much, so here I write some issues/praises or any accessory i have used.
Bike: Black ABS, 6.6k kms done, 1st service 860/- rupees, accessory mobile charger, mobile holder, batman Keychain 😂😂😂
Praises:
1. Looks: bhaisaab killer looks, my and bystanders' eyes are fixed on the bike, whenever I stop for Sutta alongside road. Just awesome bike, one quirk though, as one fellow smoker pointed out "bhaiya front se to shandaar h, but piche chutiyap kar diya".
2. Ride stability: won't divert from a straight path in heavy cross wind.
3. Acceleration: this bike isn't drunk on power like Duke, it accelerates very progressively, I kinda dislike this, but it's for the better, I'm much more sensible rider on this bike.
4. Headlights: illumination is very good, I'm able to see the road while there are other vehicles coming from the opposite side with their monstrous high beam on, but to see the road clearly I'd have to switch to high beam too, which I despise, soooo yeah good lamps, I rarely use them.
5. Tyres: ok ok, breaking is good, don't do corners much any way, straight line stability is good, haven't encountered rain yet, so don't know the grip in wet surfaces, but so far tyres are good, need to spend some more time with them to inspire confidence.
6. Sitting posture: not too sporty not too daddu like, my back hurts if I have a laptop in my bag 2-3 kg, wrists have to tolerate more weight due to the slanted posture, but still far better then few others, if expediting back pain I just shift forward on the seat, for a straight back, or shift back if need a more sporty posture, simple 😂😂😂

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Issues:
1. Vibrations: vibrates a lot on lower Rpms, vibrates on higher RPM but not too much, vibrations on lower RPM are enough to make my hands go numb, and my feet are always buzzing, they have reduced a bit after completing 400 or so kms, but still too much of vibrating going on.
2. Buzzing sound from front section, mainly from rear view mirrors, wind shield screws were loose, had to be tightened.
Okk that's all the issues 😜😜😜
Accessory:
1. Mobile charger: RNG EKO green, rng-01b: 425/- rupees. Very nice charger, waterproof, if you keep the rubber lid closed, that means if you don't use it. Charges my phone (3120 MAH battery), 25% in 15 mins, which is good. Today rode for around 120 kms, charger connected, maps and full brightness screen, the battery level didn't drop, means it was charging what the phone was consuming, so if you plan to charge your phone to full, don't use battery intensive apps. Overall a very good product, relatively cheap, working like it's supposed to, and yeah there's a led in the charger to indicate that the charger is receiving power from bike. The charger is connected to the lock wiring, when I turn the key to on position, the charger starts getting power from bike, which is nice compared to direct connection from battery. I have attached a USB cable permanently with the charger, it's taped with other cables, and is reasonably hidden, the charger itself is taped with the front disc brake wires under the fairing, so completely secure and hidden.
2. Mobile holder: dragonprince posted in this group, on page 46, about this product. I liked the design and plotted to buy it. And I did.
Product is: FLY GPS, mobile holder, 330/- INR.
Good and sturdy, lots of moving parts though, which might need taping/feviquick. As dragonprince pointed out remove the black foam holders yourself before they fall and reattach with feviquick.
Can be moved in 360 degrees, it's central arm can be bent to the shape you like. I have attached it to the center of the handlebar, so it moves with the handle and doesn't touch while moving the handle, as was in dragonprince's case, thanks for letting me know the issue DP. I attach mobile to it for navigation purposes majorly, I have set it up in a position so that it doesn't cover the dashboard of the bike and I can see other panels too. The central arm does swings a little while riding, not too much just slightly, but the mobile looks silly swinging atop a bike 😂😂
No issues with the holder, yeah just one, it won't fit thick mobiles, mine is xiomi mi4i, and it fits perfectly, my motog is twice as thick, it doesn't fit, the rubber foams need to be cut to adjust this, but then it won't hold slim mobiles 😛
I rode at 120 kmph with it, no issues, your mobile won't go anywhere.
Will post a few pictures, in the next post
