Also guys, I have ridden the bike close to 60 to 70 Kilometers today, towards the end I could hear my right fairing rattle (even at a low speed of 10km/hr)

Any way I can rectify this without going to the service center?
      It's my pleasure buddy.

There are two Allen Keys (1 big, 1 small) in the toolkit. Tighten the screws on the side you hear the noise using the appropriate key, not too much, just slightly. This should take care of the rattling.

I guess I'll stick to Bajaj Oil for now then. Thanks guys!

The bike is pretty smooth till 4k RPM, after which it gets vibes till 5k RPM. But it's manageable. So I have no problem in using Bajaj Oil, which was also suggested to me by the Dealer.

        Congrats on the bike!

Please read this post. I hope it clears any doubt's you have.

        Cheers.
Yes bro. Many of we ns owners initially followed the way of using bajaj oil till second service, while some did change post run in itself.

If you wish to move away from Bajaj oil, then use any brand mineral oil until at least you complete the running in process. Then go for semi till 5-6k and then full. A full syn is very pure and clean and helps for crunchier acceleration. But the choice is based on rider needs

Right now forget about that and focus on following run in procedures. Unless the sound is so loud and seems vulnerable doing worry. For all bikes crossing 4-6k range will trigger some vibrations. Check it in your first service

            Thanks for the explanation bro!

I'll stick to Bajaj Oil for now. After the run in is done I'll think of switching to Motul. Most of my riding is in the city by the way, and maybe a few highway runs once in a while.

            Thanks again!

Also try some Engine oil flush agents. Such as this --> Nulon M-10 Engine Flush (300 ml): Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike

You ask from the svc itself. They'll have it and will do it at the time of oil change and charge accordingly. I've done that for 1st and when switching oil to Motul (After 2nd service) And ask them to change oil filter when switching from Bajaj to Motul.
-: IF you ask me will it help, not sure but it's good to be on safer and besides it costs less.

I've given the bike for it's first service today morning. Will get it back at around 3PM.

Upon asking about Motul I was informed that I should stick to Bajaj for now, else it will void my warranty.

They say there is a workaround if I want Motul poured in, but it's risky since if anything happens, my warranty will be of no use.

So I guess I'll keep using Bajaj oil, at least until 2000 Kms.

Thanks a lot for your response!

Look buddy, changing to Motul should be kept all by yours. Most of SVCs don't agree for that and will warn you (Come on, how can they sell their oil when everybody comes and asks for Motul?). Either you can try convincing him or find a local shop and get Motul changed (if you can't do it your own). In case you want to claim warranty, you might have to change it back to Bajaj oil and take it to them.

Simple is, find a svc where they accept this.

The problem is that there is no other SVC near me. Whatever small garages are present here, are not experts and mostly work on older bikes.

But I do get your point and what you are saying. Thanks for your time. [emoji4]

                        An update on fuel economy:
                        Odo check: After 2000 km
                        tank fill: 9.3 litres
                        Km's returned: 372
Economy should be over 40 km/l as there is lot of idling done in morning and evening before i ride.
ride condition: 80% B-to-B ride, 20% without traffic
                        Max speed reached: 80Km/h
                        Max riding in gears: 1, 2, 3 in B-to-B

Always use recommended oil. The grade and viscosity is according to the climate in India. Using third party oils may damage the bore.
2). Never mix two coolants together either. The chemicals are not same. I own a duke 390 and the coolant used in that is callee ethylene glycol, probably the same is used in the rs. It may lead to deposits in the expansion tank or the radiator. First drain the coolant from the radiator and the expansion tank then flush the system with distilled water. Then top up with new coolant.
3). Try adding rubber washers to reduce vibes.
                        Thanks for the reply Rohangk.

                        1. Engine oil top up: done with Bajaj oil. Bike is running smooth as earlier, no major changes. After top up i see the oil level above max but no problem faced till now.
                        2. Coolant top up: Motul was not available in all the stores i checked hence topped up with Castrol radicool. 1:1 mix with distilled water.

You had a low coolant level within 2000kms??. Do you rev harder or mostly ride in lower gears?. Because it's been close to 8K kms and still my coolant level is just below max [emoji28]

Hey guys so I got the bike back after the first service. Everything is pretty normal till now.

However the "r" in the Pulsar logo on the right hand side has been chipped off. They say it's not their fault and it came off on it's own. The same is happening on the left side logo now.

I've been quoted 450 Rs (for each side) for a new logo and installation. Is this ok guys? It seems a little high for a plastic logo. Please advice. Thanks!
