It's perfectly alright to use Motul oil right from first service.Originally posted by Minisoda View Post

Can't give a comparison review as such cause I've been on Motul since first service.Originally posted by Darshan Chitagi View PostAny difference since you have changed from Bajaj to motul?
And first 500 kms on Bajaj oil wouldn't count as an experience during run in period.---

Thanks a lot bro!Originally posted by santosh.k View PostIt's perfectly alright to use Motul oil right from first service.

Also, did you change the oil yourself or got it done from SVC?
I'm thinking since I can't find Motul anywhere, I'll switch to Motul after 2nd service. Will ask if the SVC is willing to do it for me. Hopefully I can find it by then.
Cheers!

I bought the oil myself but got it changed at the SVC. Initially they were cribbing that the warranty will be void. But on speaking to the service station manager everything was sorted.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostThanks a lot bro!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
They will mainly look at oil change and oil filter change.Originally posted by Darshan Chitagi View PostAm planning to give my bike for 2nd service next week.. Can anyone brief me on what all should be done? Incase the svc guys miss out something...
At my last service they said that they have got a notice from Bajaj stating not to change the O ring for the oil filter.
There's nothing major to look at during second service. Just ask them to check coolant level, brake oil levels which they would normally do.---

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
A general advice is that you complete your running period in bajaj oil. Before running in, you won't expect performance. Let the mineral oil do its job. Hold your patience. Then go for 5100 for smoothnessOriginally posted by Minisoda View PostVery good explanation provided by jbm_guy in previous post.
I never give my bikes to anyone, not even my own brother!
On Topic: Guys I'm thinking of pouring in Motul Oil after the first service. Is it okay if I do so?
Can anyone tell me the complete name of the oil good for the RS? Thanks a lot!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
yeah the enfield is heavier ,i was under the impression it weighed 220kg but the weight placement makes it easier to manage than the R.S,and the enfield legs reach properly down for a good grip all the time but R.S the grip is not there, usually the forefoot is only in contact with the ground. (also i think enfield has a very low center of gravity ,so that also makes it easier) Only acute turning is a issue on the enfield.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostFirst of all stunt related debates are not allowed in xbhp. Since you are asking a remedy and I'm quite surprised to ask this. Anyway stating here out of my curiosity, I don't understand how one can lend their lovely motorbikes to friends, that can be acceptable when your close friend asks for a ride, but secondly, that too for a stunt...!!
. Do you really want to destroy this masterpiece?. Damages needn't be visible. Easily it could've blown rear shocks, swing-arm wear, loosening of engine mounts or even chances for a wheel misalignment causing a permanent long term issue. By the nature of Physics, when returning from stoppie, the bikes takes a heavy toll from it's own weight + rider weight + momentum. This force is more than enough to damage components. And now not to mention RS which weighs at least 15-25 Kgs heavier typically as compared to other equivalent models. Hence it can take more than what a P220 would take.
In your case, check for the disc plate alignment. Scratching sound or squeaky sound?. With engine disconnected, the wheel rotates freely and makes less sound and more likely you get the chance of hearing the sound. Park it in neutral and try rotating it. Try putting it in 1st gear (if you have center stand) and observe with and without clutch. And as @vvk1999 suggested, please check for any cracked or broken joints, also for the missing nuts or bolts as well. Don't ride with it. If you can't figure it out, take it to svc, but never tell them about stunts, because it may not be entitled for warranty claims(I hope). And remember street bikes are not meant for these.
Ride safe bro, post here if the problem gets resolved.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey Guys,
Bought myself the black RS200 today, (pics attached)
Is the run in actually required? I was told that with the new engines and technology, run in period is obsolete now.
Also please advise on proper run in techniques.
Ps: I know it would be available in the manual, but I I would receive the manual only after a few days due to registration issues.
Thanks guys,
Glad to be part of the gang.

So you mean I should use Bajaj Oil for the first 2000 Kms?Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostA general advice is that you complete your running period in bajaj oil. The bike is pretty smooth till 4k RPM, after which it gets vibes till 5k RPM. But it's manageable. So I have no problem in using Bajaj Oil, which was also suggested to me by the Dealer.
Congrats on the bike!Originally posted by Brian Barretto View PostIs the run in actually required? I was told that with the new engines and technology, run in period is obsolete now.

Also guys, I have ridden the bike close to 60 to 70 Kilometers today, towards the end I could hear my right fairing rattle (even at a low speed of 10km/hr)
Any way I can rectify this without going to the service center?
