I think the instrument cluster creates more problem. Apart from buzzing noise even AS200 owners get the thud sound. Thud sound is really annoying. Spent more than 1.5 Lacs and getting these issues are seriously not digestible.

Hey Everyone recently I completed 4500km on my bike. Now I'm noticing that my bike getting heated up very quickly like in 5 to 6 min. I'm not riding in heavy traffic nor in scorching afternoons , my bike coolant level is normal. I don't what is the cause , svc guys are saying it is normal for high revving bike, but I don't have that earlier. Does anyone had this issue ???

When was the last time you changed the oil ?
I usually notice this when the bike needs an oil change

You need to change the oil. If u are rolling on bajaj dtsi oil. The maximum life of dtsi oil is 1500 to 2000 kms max

I think your bike needs servicing. When did you got your bike serviced?

                          Hi Guys,

It feels great to be part of this community. I have been keenly waiting to register as soon as I get my Pulsar RS 200. As I'm new to the community and a newbie rider I may ask some silly questions . Apologies for that , but I hope I'll have a great time here with you all and learn a lot abt my bike. I have been going through this thread and have already came to.know a lot abt my bike. Since,it's launch I have been fan of this bike, totally was in love with her ! Though I was waiting for CS 200/400, which still seems to be a distant launch, my lost my patience on 21st Feb, booked RS the very day and I was assured I will receive my bike by 29th Feb. I chose this day as it was a unique date, however I was so excited to get my hands on her, I went to the sector 14,gurgaon showroom paid them cash and received my baby on 28th Feb'16. I wasn't aware of the PDI thing ,however I made sure I check everything and the bike looked perfectly fine to me. Finally,it was a dream come true, there have been days when I just stood next to bike and kept staring and the as the days past, it was my day. I was holding the key to my RS and as soon as i turned on the ignition. It sounded as poetry to my ears. I was also told the bike has already been tested and you'll not have any problems. I was told not to exceed 50 km/hr mark, however I crossed 90 km/hr though in the sixth gear. Is there a possibility this would have caused any damage to the engine ????? One thing which I was afraid of is the strange whistling sound I hear sometimes, the sound increases as speed increases but eventually it fades. Has anyone faced same situation ?? As of now I have completed 850 kms. The bike has been though it's first service and it feels great after service. I have got my engine oil changed to Motul 4T 7100 20W50. The gear box I feel is becoming smoother day by day. I haven't experienced any rattles as of now even at around 100/105 km/hrs. I have heard the running period is till 2000 kms, do I need to limit to specific speed limit ??? Any suggestions, what should I take care of ?? Please let me know if I have made any mistakes, suggestions are most welcomed. Thanks in advance . sorry for writing such a long post, its mine first and I am damn excited

PS : being always told to go for safety gears. I have got sol unicorn 2 , rynox air GT jacket , scoyco k07 knee protectors, pro biker gloves (had with previous bike ,will soon replace them ) , need a good saddle bag , any suggestions ?? Do I need to but anything else ? Boots, yes , currently out of cash will but as soon as I have money

Its just water after combustion of fuel.

Buddy, then get the oil changed. I also suffered the same when my bike was at 1300 km. It was normal after servicing.

                                First of all congrats brother...
Secondly I also have that whistling sound and kinda used to it now.
Bro you should control yourself and properly run in the engine...
Although I am not able to control myself and I am revving it hard in its run in period but still I want you should understand that you should properly run in into the engine.
It seems that I have done great damage to my bike as I have touched a max of 143 km/hr on my bike on highway in the run in period.
I know it's hard to control ourselves when we have pulsar rs200 in our hands but still, for the better and extended life of our bikes we should properly run in into.
What's the big deal....you have just to control yourself for 2k kms and then the bike's max power, top speed......etc. are all yours.
