    Arjun,

Is the vibration problem solved or still exist?

I feel the vibration in the seat and right side foot rest. Morning I have checked the rider seat. Everything well designed with rubber washer. I am not able to find the exact reason for vibration.

The rattling sound which you mentioned in your earlier post is from engine. So do not worry about it at all. Even i was bothering about the sound before the first service but the mechanic told me it is just the normal sound of engine and nothing else. For further surety on this do one thing, just apply some brakes or press the clutch while riding the bike and you will not hear that so called rattling sound. So don't worry at all. You will get this sound every time you ride your bike.

As you have done only 540 km on odometer, the vibrations under the seat are normal because the engine is new. I also experienced this but only for two or three times. So don't worry on this as i was also worried about this but now after doing 1100 km on odometer and strictly following the manual instructed run in process all i can say is the engine of my bike is running very smooth and all the problem went away itself with time except the vibrations on foot pegs which creeps in only when i apply brakes and downshift the gears to stop my bike in traffic. I am still hoping that it is just a part of run in process.

So in the end i would only suggest that you should not worry about these things because these are not issues. Also, follow the run in process properly.

        Hope this helps!

          Hi,

Today evening I just removed the side mount exhaust from my bike.

          Why:
To check the foot peg vibration on the right side.

What happened: The sound was really good and significant power improvement (With pillion). I haven't felt any stress on the engine.

Additional info: The exhaust sound is like NS/AS 200 and bit bass sound. The exhaust weighs 1.8Kg. It took very less time to remove it approximately 15 min.

I am planning to ride my bike without exhaust for one day as a trial.

I just want to know the disadvantages of removing side mount exhaust. Please share your views.

You will loose some power in the top end and your mileage may drop. If you plan to keep it like that better get your ECU retuned. Other than that nothing major.

How exactly did you remove the end pipe though?

Which bolts need to be taken off, and is it hard to fix back again?

              Thanks!

I think it is a tough task to do that. It is not a direct fit. Tomorrow I will share the pic.

Thanks for your reply. I have seen the earlier posts regarding ECU remapping which is not so easy. I never go to the redline maximum I reach 8 RPM.

There is a bolt which you can see with washers ( The exhaust hanging part). Before the exhaust you can see a small plate which has 2 Allen screws. Unscrew all of them. Now you can see one more bolt behind the foot peg. That's it.

It is very easy to fix it back. 2 bolts and 2 screws. The major items are you need necessary tools. I have all the tools with me.

Guys, once removed the whole exhaust system and fitted an aftermarket exhaust. But, lateron I didn't liked the sound and replaced it with the original exhaust.
It's very easy to remove the whole system.
Step 1: there is one clamp with a screw which tightens the joint of the exhaust pipe coming from the engine and the short pipe of the exhaust filter. Unscrew this clamp.
Step 2. The side pipe is tighten by two screws. One is a big screen that tightens the pipe with the chassis close to the right foot peg. One can easily see it. Unscrew it.
There is a clamp behind this screw. This tightens the joint os side pipe and filters end pipe. Unscrew it.
Now, pull the side pipe and it will get detached.
Step 3: the filter is fitted with four screws, two at the top, one on the right side behind the right foot peg and one on the left behind the gear shift lever.
Unscrew top two screws. Then the right and left screws. Pull, the filter slowly towards rear side and will get detached.
                      It's easy to reassemble it.

You have nicely explained with technical names . I am not going to fit any after market exhaust.

If the fairing still makes vibration or noise after multiple tightening of screws then just below the right projector there should be 2 screws. Tighten them. Those screws if loosen will make the projector vibrate and them the fairing

I think its from tappet cover packing . ASC remove it for valve setting causing the leak .
Costs rs288 . Recently changed on my NS for same problem.
