bump.. anyone?Originally posted by nayan_jindal View PostHas anyone tried playing with Tyres i.e changing or upgrading to higher available options? Someone in my known has recently upgraded his Duke 390's rear to a Michelin and has good feedback.
Are there any recommended upgrade or suggestion by forum members? No issues with the current lot, but just sparing a thought.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Do you find the current Stock MRF lacking in any department? If yes upgrade to better rubber from Michelin /continental/pirelli of the same stock 130/70 r17.These will be mostly softer and grippy tyres. Though in theory will have shorter life and will be more prone to punctures.Originally posted by nayan_jindal View Postbump.. anyone?
If you want a larger tyre to enhance the looks or if you feel a larger tyre will better aide you in cornering/handling then max size you can upsize is 150/60 r17, same size as the duke.
I haven't seen any Xbhpian upsize his tyre so dont know how much it will affect mileage/performance vis a vis stock.
I too am waiting for some feedback of owners who have already upsized the rear tyre to 150/60, hopefully since you seem eager, we can expect to hear from you soon??

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I have a friend who was going to put a 150 rear section on his RS. Unfortunately he met with an accident and his bike is getting repaired. If he does indeed decide to put a bigger tire at the rear, I'll post some pics here for everyone to see.Originally posted by Rambo1o1 View PostDo you find the current Stock MRF lacking in any department? Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
How you guys manage to ride this beast with 3.5K RPM during run in period.
Oh My God!! it is like driving a Plane with Steering..
I am done with 700kms and first service.
Any generic tips from your end for further run in period is much appreciated.Bikers Count Days as LIVED Only When Spent With Bikes !!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Its a real pain to ride the bike slow. The very exhaust note makes me crazy. Couldnt hold on for long and did around 90kmph max, occasionally. Didn't keep such speeds for long however. cant help nd cant ride slow, not on my yellow beast atleast.. Anyways, 1st servicing is done so a bit relaxed.
One thing, these days some roads are v oily(shiny i mean, the roads made with molted pitch nd then small stones are put at intervals which actually wear out pretty quick leaving d roads quite slippery) nd on those roads rear wheel locks up v easily. I am having issues with the front break hose nd hence cant use frnt break though it has abs but its nt functional now. So when i had to slow down from 80's, It is real tough to nt get the rear locked up. :|
Another thing i noticed is suppose u are slowing down from 80kmph to stop at signal. The gears dont shift down easily if the speed is lowered frst nd thn i am shifting down later aftr stopping. Bt with d deceleration when i kept shifting down, there was no issues at all... Strange issue. When i first faced d challenge while trying to shift down, i had to take d bike off d road nd work with gears to get it bak to 1. :|
Has anyone faced this?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I am also thinking of replacing the rear tyre with either Michelin or pirelli 150/60. I am not very happy with the MRF as the rear tyre skids too much. Though these are harder rubber and have longer life but it lacks control. It already had three punctures.Originally posted by Rambo1o1 View PostDo you find the current Stock MRF lacking in any department? Buddy, my abs is working fine and am quite happy with that. Hard breaking at a speed of 140 or more than hundred helped a lot. But the rear tyre skids a lot.Originally posted by SanamMarik View PostIts a real pain to ride the bike slow. The very exhaust note makes me crazy. Gear downshifting at high speeds is too slow. Its not that quick and it takes times. Sometimes I stop the bike and then downshift the gears.

I have checked it in internet. So far nothing is available. For time being you can have a look at the spare parts catalog of NS.Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostHey guys, is there an online PDF for RS200's spare parts catalog?

Get your front brakes checked and repaired. Most important thing are your brakes, shouldn't be riding, let alone riding fast with non functional brakes.Originally posted by SanamMarik View PostIts a real pain to ride the bike slow. Regarding the gear shifting issues, its a common issue with all RS200. I can tell you that in my case, after two oil changes of motul 3100 and 3k km later ,this issue gets reduced, though its still persists and frankly i have gotten used to it so doesn't bother me at all
Once you understand how to overcome this it will not bother you at all.
happy riding!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Not ridden the RS but I have noticed a strange thing in Bajaj bikes. When you are decelerating and suppose you are in 5 gear you can't directly go to 1/2/3 gear EASILY( most of the times impossible) you have to go to 4 th leave the clutch, press the clutch change the gear to 3rd and so on, which is bloody irritating . This does not happen in the KTM twin s or any other bike I have driven .
