The buzzing noise comes from behind the instrument cluster, and sometimes even the key hole/ignition switch. Have not found a solution to this yet. My friends bike was opened up completely to insert some rubber washer's, but he still complains of that buzzing sound.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Are you rev matching while downshifting? If not then you should as it makes downshifts very smooth if you just blip the throttle a little bit before downshifting.Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View Post

Just assume I go at 60kmph in 6th gear and If I want to overtake some vehicle I just blip the throttle little bit and shift the gear to 5th and pass. But If I reduce the speed close to 20kmph then I have to shift the gear from 6/5th to 2nd gear. This moment where I face downshifting very hard. One time noise came like 'Tatak'Originally posted by Minisoda View PostAre you rev matching while downshifting? .
(At low speed I usually wait 1 or 2 seconds for RPM to come down- Clutch will be fully pressed and throttle will be fully closed)
Is you friend pour the oil in key hole? Today I will pour some 2-3 drops and check it.Last edited by 2008venkatesh; 07-20-2016, 02:53 PM.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
That's just because the gearbox can't cope with such low revs in a higher gear. This happens because you shed too much speed too quickly and as a results the revs are way down in the range.Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View PostJust assume I go at 60kmph in 6th gear and If I want to overtake some vehicle I just blip the throttle little bit and shift the gear to 5th and pass. It's better to keep on downshifting while reducing speed, instead of shifting from say a higher gear to a lower gear in one go.
Let's assume you are in 6th gear and suddenly you have to drop to a very low gear like 2nd gear, instead of simply braking, keep blipping the throttle and downshifting as you slow down. Make it a habit, as what you're doing is choosing a very high gear but the revs are dying so that's why the engine starts knocking.
I'd recommend watching some videos on YouTube on how to properly come to a halt while downshifting. It helps a lot.
Oh yeah I never tried putting any oil there. Maybe that'll help reduce the buzzing. Will let you know if it does.
Cheers!Last edited by Minisoda; 07-20-2016, 06:37 PM.

Applying some oil doesn't help i put 2 drops of Johnson baby oil every time i wash my bike and that buzzing is still there. Im adjusted to that.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostThat's just because the gearbox can't cope with such low revs in a higher gear. Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Bajaj has updated many minor things in new bikes,
Felt like they have fixed many minor niggles. Gearbox felt like yamaha.
Clutch catching is accurate.
Some owners were complaining about tappet noise in new bikes now you feel like they are completely vibration* free
[(dont know what happens after 1K kms) *talking about valve vibration]
Bajaj is seriously in business Now,after seeing all these CS 400 may come as rock solid.Last edited by Yatheesh S Yashashvi; 07-20-2016, 07:44 PM.
