It has some thing inside that black rubber covering but it is not as big as what I have seen on Google, I could feel 2-3 small connectors inside that rubber thing.

Also there are 3 small plastic box kind things hidden at left side of seat..I am not sure what is it?

Here are the pictures...
Those are the relay switches I think.

The other connectors are for the rear tail light and indicators.

Although I'm not so sure what those yellow and red wires are under the CDI?

Nothing out of the ordinary here, this is exactly how it looks like on my bike as well.

I guess we can rule out the Alarm connectors like the Duke on the RS 200 for now.

Thanks for the pictures!

I have been facing this problem too since the start of monsoons. I have a feeling that it is due to throttle body kachra and will go away once it is cleaned. Or maybe the injectors need to be cleaned. Not able to visit the service station due to work but will update when I am able to resolve this issue.

I too think the throttle body is at play here.

Unfortunately the mechanics at the small SVC we have here are too chicken to touch that part of the bike. I hope I can get them to clean it once the new fairings come in and when they open the bike again.

Yes don't forget to post what response you get and if at all the issue is resolved.

Cheers!

Hi Both,
Minisoda: you have exactly said what I felt with my bike. " In my case I have a little lag in acceleration when I twist the throttle, it seems to die first but suddenly fires right back up with a small jerk. " I can understand what you meant by lag in acceleration, but If you'll observe closely, this usually happens when u'll be going at constant speeds(constant throttle) and as soon as you try to accelerate or twist the throttle, the bike resists (lag in acceleration) !
rachitsharma2000 : Even in my case , I started to face such problem/issue from may starting, onset of monsoon. I think it could be the reason, kachra ! I'm also palnning to visit the SVC soon, will share the details if I get any positive news from the SVC guys !
I look best when I take my helmet off, I have a glow on my face and a bit of helmet hair ;)

I am also facing the accelerator issue ,exact same issue you are saying.Mine also started at the start of the moonsoons (i just logged in to check if any1 else had this problem or not). I am having another issue also sometimes my bike ignition fails to start proper (it does that sound where battery is trying but engine not starting) and untill and unless i give some throttle with the ignition the bike does not start. This has happened 3 times , I was in traffic where i was giving very low acceleration and trying to the get the bike moving with just clutch release and the bike shutdown i tried to restart it but it wouldn't restart . I noticed this issue always happens when the bike shutdowns (in the rain) and if you immediately try to restart it ,it wont restart unless throttle is applied with ignition. I am thinking Both the first and second issue are connected but dont know how. I had just recently gone for my third service to put the new motul oil 15w50 (300v) the engine running has become smooth and gear shift is godlikely better but the acceleration and start problem are still persisting . I had asked the mechanic to check my battery and he said its proper.
My accelerator issue is little bit more severe as my bike shutdowns if i dont increase the throttle and keep it same(usually happens around 3k rpm). If i keep the accelerator same the rpm starts to decline And all of this happens very rarely so whenever i take it to the workshop at ghatkopar other than the accelerator issue none of the other problems are clearly noticeable so the mechanics dont know whats wrong and are unable to help. My friend who used to ride with me(on pillion) just recently rode with me and he was also saying why are you jerking the bike so much (due to the accelerator issue) first it was continuous now it has become start stop type acceleration.
I dont know much but i think the problem may have to do more with the fuel injection system of the RS ,rather than the acceleration cable .
i really hope some1 manages to fix this issue ,its a minor but very annoying problem.

Dude I have the exact same issue you're having!

Mine doesn't stall that much, but when it does it behaves like yours.

I have that jerky throttle below 3K RPM as well. It's becoming more and more annoying everyday.

I would suggest cleaning the chain and lubing it. Better take it to the SVC and also complain to Bajaj over email.

Let us know if you are able to solve any of these problems.

I have done the cleaning of the chain and lubing it all thats left is now sending bajaj a mail and seeing if they can do something about it. The workshop people are really useless at diagnosing problems ,they just know the basics which has been taught to them. If i find out any solution i will let you guys know but for now and the near foreseeable future i think we will just have to live with it.

I'm also sending them an email today.

Hopefully it's nothing major. I'll let you know if I get a reply.

Hey,
Had the same issue. They cleaned up the tank and fuel injector.
Plus on the first start of the bike let it idle for a good two mins. You won't face the issue later during the ride.
And avoid giving throttle with the starter. Press the starter for 3-4 secs without the throttle. It will start.

I am planning to upgrade from my pulsar 200ns to RS200, ABS variant.

Since it has been almost a year since the launch of the RS 200, I would like to know about the bike wrt to long term use.
To owners of the bike who had bought it last year,
- how well has bike served you?
Has been a good experience over a year and 20k KMs.
- how would you rate the build quality of the bike in long term?
Quality is good over the past machines. Coming from a Yamaha, it still feels good
- how would you rate the engine refinement and performance of the fuel injection (throttle response)?
Coming from a Yamaha, this one still has a few vibes. But overall the engine and throttle response is very good for city rides and touring.
- how well does ABS perform?
Performs well. Has saved me from wheel locks many times.
- how well has the service stations helped you in maintaining the bike?
Haven't had any major issues with it. So don't need much help there. Just regular maintenance.

I know these are very particular questions, but answers to these will really help me in making the decision.

I would classify myself in the "sport tourer" category. I love riding fast on the highways and I also sometimes have to ride 50+ kms daily for work or social commitments, and my bike is my primary means of transport. As such, reliability of the bike and performance in traffic and free roads are equally important to me.

Any and all help is appreciated guys, I'm looking to upgrade before the end of this monsoon.
Answers below each point

Would recommend you to take a test ride. And go for it if your heart is with this one.

I think im the lucky one!!
I dont have that jerky nature,

Mayb because im using BP Speed from 1st service.
And i lube whenever i feel it needs juice to run smoothly.

In first two months of ownership i ve faced that lagging and shutoff of engine even on pressing clutch has also been gone, my odo is at 6K
Im still using Bajaj mineral oil.

Hi Guys,
Sometimes down shifting very hard. It is kind of something got stuck in the gear box. Please note this is not happening always. Do I need to adjust the clutch cable? Also getting noise while down shifting. (Oil changed 1000kms before, chain cleaned/lubed before 600kms)

I never had buzzing noise from the front. Last week noise started. If you have solution, please share.
