Cbr 150r is an outdated sportsbike.
1. No projector headlights
2. No abs
3. not even engine kill switch
4. Underpowered only 12.6 nm torque
5. Sounds bad as compared to rs200
6. Overpriced for what u get
7. Costly spare parts
8. No pass light
9.same fuel economy
10. Instrument cluster is bakwas.
Most imp thing unlike other bajaj bike it's made only in chakan right next to that of ktm.. so stop worrying abt quality n all.
N help Indian economy man don't buy Honda n ktm. U won't regret buying rs200. Proud owner. U get same lower of ktm with price of Honda. N get ready for getting lots of attention bcuz the bike is an eye candy.,, head Turner all d time. N plz buy yellow abs.

I know the cbr 150 presently in market is really obsolete and has more cons to it as compared to the pros, but a new model is going to be launched this year according to reports. You may take a look at

or google the model name. Hope it helps

Instrument cluster might be bakwas but at least it has an engine temperature guage!

Also, the only thing in which the CBR 150R is better than the RS 200 is engine refinement (IMO of course).

I've ridden both bikes and personally my choice will always be the RS 200.

Cheers!

Guys today i travelled around 150 kms.The road on which i travelled was NH.I covered 20 kms on steep hill .The road was to steep and i think my engine was stressing out a-lot(came out from the noise it gave me).I did my first servicing after 350kms. (Since 30 days had already been passed). I had clocked 580 km and today i travelled 150. I had never rode the bike above 4.5 rpm till 580.But today i revved it till 7k rpm.(85 km/hr).
1)The first thing what i noticed was the engine vibration which i experienced a lot on handle bars and foot pegs from 5.5 k-7k rpms.(including break pads). Can u guys tell me why the engine vibrates even after riding it for 500kms.?and it was making ghrr sound too. Will the revving cause any harm to the engine.?
2))and second thing was the chain noise it gave me.It came out as if the chain was loose .I dont no why that was there!! i touched it and saw it was not loose.
3) Third was the smell that came from the engine.(Like something was burning).
4)The front break makes squeaky noise sometimes (makes sound as if it needs oiling ).Please tell a solution for the above points .
Should i change the engine oil again ?Because of the metal shedding.and how much do they charge to put the "P" letter for that pulsar logo?. That pulsar logo came off because i applied wax polish(FORMULA 1) too much .That wax stains remain near the stickering part(like a residue) .I am not applying it anymore .
I get 31 km/ltr in city and today on highway i got 38 /litre.

Brother dont worry as your bike is new the vibrations will be there because engine is new and after runin vibes will vanish
Chain noise is still there in my as200 i havent got solution for this ,so sorry
Squeaky sound is common in pulsar but if yor wheel feels jam go to svc and get it rectified.
My pulsar logo just went off after the first wash after 15 days of purchase but luckily my whole tank cover was changed within warranty with no extra charge on my as200 so brother try your luck for changing the tank cover ..

Guys I need some suggestions.
(It's a request that please don't treat me as a troll guy and answer me)
I have clocked 2715 km on my odo and and had recently changed my engine oil on 2473 km.
Now,the point is that its sound is changing like it's turning to be an old bike.
And also it is giving certain rattling sound.
Guys please help me with my queries.
Thanks in advance.

Many members have already said to you run in period is important for engine's long life, if run in not completed properly then these issues will definitely come up.

Small update on my situation guys.

What I was fearing since the start has happened.

The fuel pump is faulty. Apparently that's why the bike won't idle and start up properly. Someone from a Metro City SVC is coming with the replacement and the necessary parts for my bike. He arrives on Wednesday, and my bike goes to the SVC on Tuesday. I don't know exactly what FI parts are being replaced as of now. Will post if I do.

I hope this is the end of my issues because I really want to enjoy my machine again.

Any suggestions or something I should look out for?

Thanks.

The rattling sound that you are worried about is from engine itself. So dont worry for this. It is totally normal.

Hope this helps!

Buying Honda and KTM won't help Indian economy? Then which economy will benefit? Pakistan's? 😸

Honda pays taxes, Honda owners pay taxes.

Bajaj will always be a vfm bike. However, Honda/yamaha vehicles usually outlast the competition. Its for that reason people pay a premium.

CBR150 vs RS200: No brainer, go for RS200! CBR150 is an obsolete bike and may get off the shelves anytime. Plus it is overpriced and underpowered as compared to RS200. Only advantage is smooth engine. But the rev-happy engine of RS200 compensates for that.

CBR250 vs RS200: That's an interesting story altogether. This depends on person to person, scenario to scenario. There is no definite answer to this. Read the first few pages of this forum to get detailed comments on this compare.

If you don't want to buy CBR250 for any reason, go for RS200.

Other options: Mahindra Mojo (mile muncher), RC200 (track tool), Benelli TNT 300/250.

Any ideas how did the fuel pump go bad? Was it adulterated fuel or running the bike in low fuel?

Thanks a lot bro!

Now as to why this happened I don't really know.

I only ran the bike on low fuel twice, that too because I didn't get pocket money to fill it up. I will avoid this as much as possible from now on.

I've been using "Speed" from Bharat Petroleum since the beginning. I don't know if this caused the fuel pump to go kaput, but I will advise other owners to avoid this fuel and anything similar to it. I switched back to normal fuel for the last 1000 Kms, but still the bike has trouble starting and maintaining a constant idle once warm.

I have been invited to take a look at the whole process of changing the fuel pump, but since I have an exam that day I can't be there. I'll see if my friend Ar47 is willing to go and get some info and pics for you guys while they perform this operation.

Thanks again!

Using a good company horn will not affect the electrical system. Just get the job done from a good mechanic with electrical knowledge.
