Not yet, but I'm planning to do it. I'll also be grinding off the excess metal bracket that attaches the guard to the swing arm. I'll post pics when I remove it.

          Loose Tappets!

If you're thinking of buying the bike don't get the one with this tik tik sound. It means the tappets are loose and will need to be tightened (30-40 min job).
          Good luck!

No problem buddy. Not a common issue per se, but a lot of bikes have the tappets loose. Since its not an easy fix many people don't bother with getting them tightened. The SVC people providing stupid theories like it's present in all Bajaj bikes doesn't help the matter.

I've had mine tightened 4 times(!) now, and the sound still hasn't gone yet.

The sound should quite down after they are tightened (must be done on a cold engine). For some weird reason the Yellow bikes have this noise from the start (personal experience with all colors on sale currently).

              Hope this helps!

I will definitely post pictures when I remove the Saree guard.

However due to my exams I can't do it just yet. I'll most likely do it sometime after 6th May. Hope you can wait till then.

                        Cheers!

I just saw in my RC that the model name is written as 200 NS. Did anybody else face the same problem in Mumbai? Mine was the first batch to be delivered in Mumbai, so may be that's the reason of goofing it up.

Another thing, will there be any problem (while selling/insurance etc) if I don't get it corrected? You know, laziness zindabad!!!

Mine is registered as pulsar 200 DTS i . I think, its not a problem . They don't have NS /As 200 in their database.

Yes it will be a problem while claiming insurance!

                                Hey All,

Here is the Video link of what i was talking other day about the strange sound coming when i turn on the bike from FI system. Earlier this was of a short duration and not that loud. If anyone can suggest the reason, would be great. Going to take it SVC sometime next week.
