Originally posted by amarme001 View PostThanks for clarifying it to them, as I was asked in previous post which bike I am looking to upgrade, I said I will wait or buy KTM.
I had owned a duke 390(2014) in past and I know its cons, RS 200 is a good bike, but as I said previously not the one for me.
It is reliable and fun to play with but eventually you will get bored, In my case I got bored way to early or better said, it had never connected.
The things I said I dislike is only subjected to me and my personal opinion and need not apply to every other human being.
About KTM I will not be fully satisfied with that either considering all its faults but its got more HP and who can argue with that and a top wack more than a hatch-back and some sedans. That's why I will wait for some time and then decide or buy a KTM.
That being said, hey friendly people I thought it was taboo to say anything about Yamaha or Honda or even TVS ( I got burned on this very forum couple of times
), but when did Pulsar family became so aggressive.

Peace brother's.
I was not aggressive brother i just gave my opinion,
If want to upgrade you can go to higer capacity KTM's,
If you want good service Go for Kawasaki,
If you are rich dont care about money go for benelli,
Yamaha R3 is a good choice over ktm's,
But doesn't have ABS a little less HP's.
Mojo looks good on papers dont know much about its performance bcz i havent Ridden or my friends have.
(if you still talk about its ergonomics, lights and handling i suggest you to stick to RS,
Even R3 sitting posture is bit like commuterish its not like R15)

Yellowish has most penetrating character than white light, think before charging them,Originally posted by Sanket s View PostDoes anyone has idea how much does the Rc390 or Rc200 headlight bulb(both high and low) will cost me? And can we fix the bulb in Rs200 I wanted a whilte light.
If you really want to change try osram nightbreaker they have bit whitish.

From 0:52 seconds to 1:10 seconds and those are the stock headlights.I myself privately asked him on his Insta DM. And you are telling me to think twice. Even after adjusting the screws of my rs200 it still isn't this good. I am seriously considering to change the bulbs only.

Ill totally agree with you bro.I earned myself a brand new RS200 ABS which ie demon black. Since she's still in run in so I've not reviewed yet. But post 1034km and one service two engine oil change and one oil filter change I've visited Bajaj service centre 5-6 times,I've got a few things to say about bike.Originally posted by Sanket s View PostHahhahha nailed it.
Stick to Rs200 only.
Even duke 390 has soo much heating problem I drove it in city for around 45 mins my shoe sole literally started melting(good shoes)
Fuel capacity is very low.
Range is only 200 km after full tank.
Petrol station will be ur second home.
And u won't get a rolls Royce typo service anywhere.
Duke 390 is very broad... So has difficult maneuveribility. Rs200 is better in traffic... Watch Mumbiker nikhil video he said between Rc390,duke390 and Rs200... Rs200 was most comfortable among these 3 bikes for long touring. So there is no doubt RS200 is a better bike of all.
You SIR, made a mistake.
1. Coming to the imported bikes first thing im not a true patriot or desi bhakt who goes for an Indian company's bike and spent 154k for the country. I went through every possible option for 200cc range. Even considered bullets for a while but realized that cruisers do not ignite me. Also 3-4 friends of mine have vibrations on their different model bullets and had to remove the rear view mirrors whithout which I cant drive.
2. Ktms are low in height and way to aggressive in seating posture plus you'll have a serious backache after riding it continuously for. More than 30 mins. I think I'm getting old. Ktm is a machine meant for tracks and indian roads are too superb for those machines. No offence.
3. Most of the other were imported bikes as hyosong Honda cbr250 Yamaha etc. None were offering such amazing features at such a low price and I think quality is not the only thing here some credit will go to indian taxation policy.
4. She(RS200) holds her place somewhere in the middle. Faster but comfortable.good height with great looks and engine courtesy KTM RC 200 TUNED BY BAJAJ. Which sounds better than KTM.
5. Dual projector lamp placement is outstanding. I wont stop myself from saying that she's got the one of the best light placement in sport bike segments and the best for any indian bike.
6. A few problems which I faced ao far is a little fairing vibrations which is at bay after using my Allen keys. Bike vibrates more when the chain is dried up. Lubricate it with a good and fresh lubrication fluid every week.
7. The front brake light would stuck inn beginning but got fixed after a few visits in SVC.
8. There are 12 service mechanics in BajajSVC here and two of them are trained and equipped for RS200.
9. I get VIP service just as everyone who has an RS. As its the flagship bike of Bajaj proving the theory of mine which says go for an Indian company's top product instead of a foreign company's starting product. And make urself feel like the son in law.
10. I've ridden her only in my city below 50kmph. She has crossed her rpm limit only by the service centre guys for two or three ti m es to check for vibration and power. I didn't like it so ill suggest them not to do that again with any other bike. So far she is getting smoother day by day. I think she is properly running in.
I see no other issues as other guys reported here as heating or anything. You should've checked your bikes coolant level first if u didn't. No machine is perfect. Love your bike for all her limitations and issues and shell love you back. Ill post a detailed review with my own experience, maintenance guide and proper break in method after 2000km.

And looks great only on clear roads,
Its performance drops if its
Little foggy, rainy days, white has more glare so it disturbs oncoming traffic Too..

If you want go change No one is stopping you,Originally posted by Sanket s View PostHow many times do u actually drive ur bike in rain that too at night?
But it will disturb the oncoming vehicles, and it has less penetrating.
And in rains your own light will disturbs you(reverse glare/reflection by hitting water droplets)

Agreed but what about oncoming traffic, let's imagine someone with white light coming towards you it could hamper your vision. IMO RS200 has excellent lights.Originally posted by Sanket s View PostHow many times do u actually drive ur bike in rain that too at night?

During run-in time (very sane riding) - Highway mileage 40 kmpl, city mileage (b2b traffic) ~ 33 kmpl
After run-in period (So far 10k km) - Highway mileage ~ 35 kmpl, city mileage (b2b traffic) ~ 30 kmpl. Average mileage (30% highway and 70% city) ~ 33 kmpl. All stats when I like to rev the bike hard.
I am planning to run the bike extremely sanely for one tank full of petrol, rpm not exceeding 6k. This is to test the best mileage I can get on the bike. Will share the results soon (That is if I am able to control myself to keep the bike < 6k rpm
)

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
The stock RC390 lights in the video seem to be very bright even with street lights on. From my personal experience most normal halogen vehicle lights tend to provide no extra brightness when bright yellow street lights are present, it makes you feel you headlights arent on. Surprised in the video that we can see a nice bright patch of light with the street lights on. Though i must say the throw seems very short, wont be useful on highways where you need to see further.Originally posted by Sanket s View PostYou SIR! Have a look at this video

Normally whitish light are a little ineffective against fogg and rain. Temperature of 4300 kelvin are perfect color bulbs, its yellow with slight white. Those pure white bulbs are 5000 kelvin, above that the whites become blueish, which is only for show.
The RS200 has good headlights as compared to many of the competition. but it suffers in low beam brightness and avg illumination when facing on coming traffic with their misaligned headlights.
I feel higher wattage bulbs can solve this issue. Since the RS200 has Halogen projectors idk how effective HIDs will be. all this can be solved by trial and error,so someone has to take the plunge and experiment with different light source.
Do post pictures if you happen to use different bulbs
Most of the white lights that hamper oncoming traffic vision are HID bulbs placed inside normal reflector which scatter the light. Also hig wattage bulbs that are misaligned right into oncoming drivers eyes causes the issue. Proper aligned higher wattage white bulbs will not cause much difference than a similar wattage yellow bulb.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostAgreed but what about oncoming traffic, let's imagine someone with white light coming towards you it could hamper your vision. My bike is about 7 months old with 5.9k km covered. My riding consist of very short rides on open roads with little traffic(hardly any start stop traffic like the big cities). Also i do not drive to get mileage but a little aggressive with the throttle. Below are the different mileage figures i got with various types of riding.Originally posted by rs_nimbalkar View PostI would like to know about the mileage review of the bike because i talked to one of he owners of RS 200 and according to him the bike doesn't give enough mileage after few months. 1. Mileage during runin, totaly babying the bike: ~40kmpl
2. Normal monthly mileage with moderately aggressive throttle: 35-37kmpl
3. Hard riding with upshifts at 7k- 8k rpm: ~31kmpl
4. Long 200km+ Trips on ghats and highways where avg upshifts at 7.5k rpm: ~37kmpl
5. Recent monthly mileage by riding for fuel economy( really boring & annoying month
): ~42kmpl
just to note, i have used motul 3100 since 500km. Also i never crossed 100kmph or up shifted above 7k rpm till 3k km.This shows that the RS200 can get decent mileage even after 6 months.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
At sanket,
Now you know you that rider moded his headlights thats why they look bright.
He changed his low beam bulb with highbeam, and he adjusted in such a way that low and high beam focuses at same point.!!
Even you can follow that,
But avoid white, just a moment of blindness is all you need to crash.
