Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Two thumbs up....scientific and logical. Yellow has the wavelength somewhere middle in violet and red so wont scatter much as well as not centralized. So in a foggy season it will be the best to have a yellowish light . Don't know about rain. I am a cat. LolzOriginally posted by Yatheesh S Yashashvi View Post

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Guys, I've been invited by my Bajaj Dealer for a breakfast ride this Sunday, conducted for the owners of RS200 who have purchased the vehicle from that showroom and their branches. Now this is gonna be my first time attending such events. I have little knowledge about this. The things I know about a breakfast ride is that the riders ride in group for a certain distance(mostly above 50 kms maybe), have a meal and then return back to the starting point after that. Is it really as simple as it sounds? This distance might be nothing compared to what most senior members do daily. But I'm not familiar to doing such distances regularly. So are there any precautions and checks one needs to do? And also are there any rules to be followed while moving in group and any kind of mandatory items to be carried. I know helmet is a must, but do we need to have a riding jacket too? Any info especially in detail will be appreciated.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Thanks buddy....my bike is still in run in and the way you told things I'm doing fine with the running in. But as you have completed run in I've a few questionsOriginally posted by ssrraghav View PostFor any bike, real running in period is below 1/3 rd of the redline rpm... Eg, if 9.5k is redline for rs200 then 3.2k is the ideal rpm limit for first 500 km... Then comes the second phase where u can maintain till 1/2 of redline rpm... Ie 4.5k to 4.7k rpm for RS200... This has to be till ur total of 2000km in odo... After that gradually increase rpm by 1000 rpm for every 200 km till u reach the redline... Also stick with mineral oil for atleast 10k kms... Mandatory oil change for first service and then every 2000km as it is mineral oil...
In this calculation speed doesn't matter as it depends on various other factors like inclination, declination, wind speed, stopping force, centre of gravity, equilibrium, blah blah blah... Also same rpm can give u two different speeds based on environment... For best running in always change gears from 3.5 to 4.5 k rpm for fuel efficient bike... By the way, bajaj claims RS200 with 54kmpl and I'm getting 51.5 km per litre in rs200 constantly after very sane driving as above... Till now I have done 2k kms in my bike and just out of running in period...
The above just my exp with RS200 with no issues yet... May be my love for my bike is too much caring to give any issues...
1. How many times and when and what engine oil did you change during run in?
2. Did you feel any type of vibrations in engine, fairing or anywhere in the bike and how did you reduce or get rid of it?
3. Is Bajaj 20w50 is fine for running in?
4. What are the chain lubricants are you useing?
5. Service centre guy throttled my bike 2-3 times on that trademill fully. Do you feel any damage could have been done in those 2-3 times? Did this happen with you too??
6. Does your beauty also keeps grinding at 1500-2000rpm even at idle state???
Pls reply soon. I'm curious and optimistic.

Grinding!!Originally posted by firebird View Post6. Does your beauty also keeps grinding at 1500-2000rpm even at idle state???
What does it mean,
I didn't follwed manual prescribed RunIn method, but i never crossed 75km/hr before 1st service,
Even after 9months my bike is still as good as new except some minor problems.
Like,
Light vibrations in between 4-5K RPM,
At that rpm even i hear buzzing sound from meter console,
Other than that No vibrations even at 130km/hr
Always keep more than 3ltr of petrol, add premium petrol (not high octane petrol, use additives added petol like Speed) to avoid shutdown in corners, even it ll shutoff at speedbreaker,
If you are running on additive added fuel,
Always have more than 3.5ltrs,
Sometimes additives expand and will stay above fuel and pump sucks and if it combusts it will do harm your engine rather than clean combustion.
I bent my rear disk while sudden braking so its makes grrrrn sound at low speed, planing to change istead of straightening.
I lube whenever i think its needed,
For cleaning first i spray waste oil and brush with smooth toothbrush, then kerosene, then lube with Motul,(use tribocore even they are good)
In between that i lube it with fresh engine oil.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Thank you so much bro and sorry for ur rear disk. Even my meter console makes the same sound but I feel vibrations are a little too much for a new. Anyways ill upload the sound of my exhaust and pls kindly tell me if it sounds fine.Originally posted by Yatheesh S Yashashvi View PostGrinding!!

By grinding I meant if you leave the bike started at neutral where does the rpm reading holds. Mine is 1500-2000 rpm at idle standing at neutral without any throttle and that is enough to move the bike at first gear at a speed of 8km/h. Feels like my old car. Lolz . That's what I'm asking for And if it was so does it need any adjustment?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Usually these kinds of rides which are official are sponsored by the dealer/manufacturer. The idea is to have a short morning ride (<300kms) where you'll all go in a group to the breakfast point, have a nice breakfast and come back. And usually the breakfast point chosen is one which is frequented by rider groups, so that they know how good it is before-hand and are sure that they have enough space for all. Only owners are allowed to join (mostly) and they have to come with their RS200 ONLY. There will be group riding rules which you'll be briefed before the ride begins. Helmet is mandatory anyway, but it is advised to go full geared (Riding Jacket, Gloves, Pants, Knee Guards, Boots etc). I suggest a minimum of Helmet, Gloves and Jacket for short rides. Just follow the rules they brief you about and you're all set. Feel free to ask any other doubt you have. Happy riding.Originally posted by GhostRider666 View PostGuys, I've been invited by my Bajaj Dealer for a breakfast ride this Sunday, conducted for the owners of RS200 who have purchased the vehicle from that showroom and their branches.
