Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Yes, it is indeed VFM as well! If only they had a dual channel ABS, I would have booked it during launch! Made me wait this long just to see what's the overall feedback like.Originally posted by milan2377 View Post

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Tec question!??
Is Bajaj pulsar RS 200 is made according to BS4 os BS3!?
Im asking this because North india get BS4 fuel in south we are still getting BS3 fuel, if we fuel BS4 variant with BS3 its efficiency will be reduced (very less though)
And for this reason we have to clean fuel filter once in a year i think!!

yes, it should have been with dual channel ABS. But still single channel does great job. I have test ridden the bike with high speed to test ABS, it works smooth and perfect.Originally posted by judebrent View PostYes, it is indeed VFM as well! Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Bike is good no doubt and I was waiting for this to come since last 2 years (since the first rumors came otherwise I would have got NS200) , the only thing that I wanted to know is what price I can get for a 8 month old bike with as good as new condition and ridden for just 800kmsOriginally posted by milan2377 View PostSelling off a bike so soon can mean 2 things mostly:
1. They made wrong choice or did not do their homework before purchasing it.
2. Or the bike has multiple issues.
But looking at number of review s from owners of RS200, it seems bike is fantastic piece of technology/passion.

If it has ABS then around 1.10-12. Standard, then around a Lakh.Originally posted by fundoozzz View PostBike is good no doubt and I was waiting for this to come since last 2 years (since the first rumors came otherwise I would have got NS200) , the only thing that I wanted to know is what price I can get for a 8 month old bike with as good as new condition and ridden for just 800kms

And why would you like to sell?Originally posted by fundoozzz View PostBike is good no doubt and I was waiting for this to come since last 2 years (since the first rumors came otherwise I would have got NS200) , the only thing that I wanted to know is what price I can get for a 8 month old bike with as good as new condition and ridden for just 800kms

That's nice! What sort of high speed testing did you do?Originally posted by milan2377 View Postyes, it should have been with dual channel ABS. But still single channel does great job. I have test ridden the bike with high speed to test ABS, it works smooth and perfect.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
As I already said in my initial post, I m just considering this option as I am 5'6 and the bike just doesn't give me enough confidence in bumper to bumper city traffic and when going slow on uneven roads.Originally posted by judebrent View PostAnd why would you like to sell?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
The above bold lines are very common on Olx and Quickr. Because this hides all other aspects of the product. I have sorted out from mobile, TV till my last bike on these web portals. 90% of them are fake or at least not what the actual reason is. But trust me, we do the same when it comes to us. If I met with accident and want to sell it, would I post it so?.Originally posted by judebrent View PostFelt like brining this up. I've been checking Olx for over a month and I've seen number of RS's being sold in less than a months time to 3 months. Both ABS & Non ABS versions. Reasons are more or less the same
Need money
Going abroad for Job/Studies
Buying RC390 - Because this is the right next option to make you believe he is truthful
I'm kind of trying to figure out what the actual reasons could be. Come on all research before buying so no one will just go for a 390 after investing so much on a RS200!
Is there something that's putting people off?
Only the buyer has to be confident enough in buying it, test drive, take a good mechanic, cross verify, negotiate accordingly. Otherwise, it's a tough game to crack.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
All have met with an accident is hard to believe! Furthermore, other bikes like Duke, Gixxer, CBR aren't available for sale unless they're 1-2 years old. Even those owners can meet with an accident and sell off right? Why does it melt down to just RS owners having to hide something off so soon. I mean something as low as 200 KMS?Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostThe above bold lines are very common on Olx and Quickr. Because this hides all other aspects of the product. I just think they've over expected & then are deeply dissatisfied!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I think you are right on the expectation part. The bike looks huge and kind of like a proper sports bike. But at the heart lies a 200 cc engine. So, performance wise it is not way better than the good ol' P220 which is used as a benchmark to judge this bike by most.Originally posted by judebrent View PostAll have met with an accident is hard to believe! Second reason could be the lack of engine refinement + fairing vibes which could put many people off (But still hard to believe someone woould be ready to sell because of this)
Third and most likely reason could be the weight of the bike. I am 5'10", 77 kg, come from a HH Karizma which is not a light bike at all and still I have dropped RS200 twice. It really is pretty heavy!Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

Now that's scary. I am 5.8" and 84 KGS, and I come from the Karizma R too, but I think this one's looking scary to handle especially in traffic!Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostI think you are right on the expectation part. initially, I also had a thought to buy second hand RS200 from Olx/Quickr. So I personally checked those Olx and quickr posts which say 185 km driven brand new bikes like that with reason for selling as "going abroad", "upgrading to RETB" like that. When i called, i came to know they are all fakes and mostly intermediate agents posting those ads. Credr and other new second hand bike selling portfolios posted those ads. Most of the guys who is approaching these agents are students and youngsters who met with accidents.
I found fishy seeing some ads with pictures of bike without Registration numbers. Funny part was "one first year college stud told me over phone that he wants to upgrade to RETB".
All these dramas and suspicious scenarios made my decision firm on buying brand new machine from a dealer. So new bumble bee in my hand..
Guys, there are + and - in RS200 and we all knew. lets love the pluses and live with those minus(es). Enjoy the ride!!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Yes .they all bought thinking its an FI and would give huge acceleration but then Bajaj was never about insane acceleration like Duke.its all about sedate pickup and a very good mid and high range.kind of speed gathers after 5000rpm.hope those guys realise it .Originally posted by judebrent View PostAll have met with an accident is hard to believe! Yes it's FI.if it would have been Carb then by rich AFR tuning acceleration can be improved but since it's FI and the bike was never about insane acceleration. Unfortunately people who bought and selling it couldn't understand this fact !Originally posted by judebrent View PostIt's an Fi, isn't it?
RS is a beautiful piece of machinery with one gem of an engine

How bad is the engine vibration. I remember when owing the TVS Apache, Fi 160, it had loads of vibrations!Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostI think you are right on the expectation part.
