Today i noticed a strange thing while down shifting gears: I was shifting from 6th to 2nd gear and suddenly in between felt as if there are no more gears to go down at 4th gear and the gear pedal seemed to have gone free.
To fix this i had to immediately upshift the gear and downshift again. Worked fine after that. Happened twice during 16 km ride. Happened yesterday as well but i thought something else might be issue but observed again today, so thought to ask in the forum.

What can be the potential issue or something wrong at my end? Is it something that requires some immediate attention. If yes, then i would not mind to take a off and get it serviced this saturday, since i am also approaching first free service.

I don't think so water would have entered silencer. because I was driving in high throttle to keep the engine on.
No, didn't notice such thing (white froth).

In that case, visit the SVC and get your fuel pump checked. Maybe there's some blockage due to which pickup/fuel supply is getting obstructed. You can also try adding a Fuel Injector cleaner like Bardahl, but suggest you visit the SVC once.. Thanks

You may want to try this.

Reviews are good, it can be removed when required, uses Velcro straps, hence you may not worry about someone stealing it. They as well do the stitching job, but it requires you to take your bike (i think it's in Pune) or send your seat to them.

                    Hey,

I'm using the Viaterra Claw on the Pulsar RS200.
It's perfect for the price if you don't intend to have a pillion along.

                        Lovely video buddy..
How did the bike respond to your ride? Was there any kind of issue during or after your tour?

It seems to fit perfectly on RS200

This is my first post in this forum. I own RS 200 Red (ABS) since Sep'15, so far covered 2200 KM (1st service completed). I would say, am one of the victims for Chennai flood. Though, I did not drove much in flood water, but unfortunately I had to take my bike in water (at water level till wheel), just to keep my engine on, I drove in high throttle at 1st gear for at least 2 km distance and reached home. There were no issues, bike were performing well as usual. Later, all of the sudden I could see a dip in pickup, especially above 80 KMS, after few days things had worsen as my bike is not going beyond 40 KMS speed. Contacted KLN SVC in Anna Nagar Chennai, currently they are not ready to collect the bike for service, as their workstation was affected due to flood and there are lots of bikes are due for service which was received before. currently am waiting for SVC to be fully functional. worried about my new bike :-(

Can any one please suggest or share your views about this issue. what could be cause, 1) is it because of full throttle (holding the clutch)and drove in 1st gear for longer period, 2) or because of water which would have gone inside clutch plate. 3) not able to think beyond this. Please suggest
Hi, took my bike to SVC, the specialist had just untighten the clutch cable and problem got resolved. But just witnessed 10+ RS 200 bikes which were impacted due to flood water and solution were offered to replace the clutch plate OMG!.

Yes, when water enters, it's best to get the clutch plates changed! Smart and correct move indeed.
