Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Very valid point. I strongly suspect there is something with these gas station and the fuel quality they use. I always stick with same gas station. Minisoda, you better keep an eye. I suspect the additives help this issue. It's more related to fuel quality provided by some. Did you try changing to different ones?.Originally posted by nayan_jindal View Post

If you mean changing the petrol stations, then no I have not tried any others. I used the same pump to fill Normal and Speed petrol i.e. Bharat Petroleum.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostMinisoda, you better keep an eye. Is BP and Bharat Petroleum the same or are they different?
I'll try fuel from another petrol pump as soon as I finish the fuel I have in my bike now. Will report back!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
<<<<ALERT >>>>
Gentlemen, Please read these topics: They are about coolants & their maintenance (very important)
The conclusion is that Motul Inugel coolant is very harmful for the NS/AS/NS/RS bikes. This coolant is damaging the important oil-seal at waterpump chamber, hence making coolant to enter the crankcase & mixing with engine oil, therefore silently killing the engine.
Another bad news is "maybe" few NS/AS/RS bikes came with default factory filled Motul Inugel coolant
So please check this issue by looking through your engine oil window. If you see any white milky bubble/froth or green-ish liquid, urgent attention is required!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I am observing this a lot. Some black film particles getting deposited. Is it normal or something to worry about and get checked? Also what this is called or can be since SVC guys would try to say this is Ok and i may have to explain the issue to them with some help from here

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I think this is normal for a new engine. I have seen a Triumph Speed Triple spewing out the same black stuff out of it's exhaust because the bike was new. I observed this in my bike when it was new too, it's not present in the same quantity now.Originally posted by nayan_jindal View PostI am observing this a lot. Thanks for the heads up. Will check this ASAP.Originally posted by marmiteminer View Post<<<<ALERT >>>>

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I have a red rs abs version and from the third day of its purchase some kind of squeaky sound is coming out from the front part of the bike. The sound increases with the speed. Sometimes the sound goes off by itself but most of the time it is present. Also the chain of the bike is sounding too much even after lubrication. The sound is coming from the front part of the chain like "chhan chhan". Is it normal for a new bike?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Squeaky sound is from a bearing in the front wheel. I also have this problem and I asked the SVC they said the bearing that Bajaj used is from 200 NS. Now since RS 200 has a bigger disc up front, the bearing doesn't fit and goes dry and starts to squeak. It is very annoying and we are yet to find a solution to this sound. My friend had this problem from Day 1.Originally posted by Rover200 View PostI have a red rs abs version and from the third day of its purchase some kind of squeaky sound is coming out from the front part of the bike. The other sound is most probably a loose chain. Get it tightened and lubricated properly and it should vanish.
Hope this helps.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
While filling at BP all over should be the same, but commonly said by my friends, they would say "fix one station and fill there always". But I don't really know the meaning of that and I'm following. I use BP for my Activa and HP for my NS. Because HP accepts ICICI card which has surcharge discount. I'd advice you to switch to other gas station once and check if the problem persists. Do it post hitting reserve. Because from mine and my friends experience in all these years, speed didn't visually or physically gave any difference.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostIf you mean changing the petrol stations, then no I have not tried any others. Thanks for the reply. Will try to get some normal fuel from another station and see If I can feel any difference.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostWhile filling at BP all over should be the same, but commonly said by my friends, they would say "fix one station and fill there always". Also on a side note: how do I know I've hit reserve?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
The reason i asked is because a fellow member posted the same and it seemed there was some issue. I can not search that post again, so don't know if it's a genuine issue or not. I was planning to visit the SVC tomorrow, so was thinking if any help on this is can work over there.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostI think this is normal for a new engine. I think it's not normal..my splendour deposits this black particler through the silencer because the engine oil moves into the cumbustion chamber..yours may be different reason but a matter to worry and to be checked as soon as possilbeOriginally posted by nayan_jindal View PostI am observing this a lot. Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I guess it's best to get it checked. While you're there could you also ask about the tappet noise? If it is serious? That tik tik sound is driving me crazy. Thanks!Originally posted by nayan_jindal View PostThe reason i asked is because a fellow member posted the same and it seemed there was some issue. I had this issue before my first service and the SVC guy recognized after driving it. He tightened something over there.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostI guess it's best to get it checked. I see. Did he remove the fairing to tighten it? Or the tank cover?Originally posted by nayan_jindal View PostI had this issue before my first service and the SVC guy recognized after driving it. He tightened something over there.
I'll report it to the SVC. Hopefully they can solve this.
I don't really trust these guys to do anything. Yesterday I went to get the chain adjusted and they didn't know how to do that even!
