And before I get nasty comments for driving an unregistered vehicle, [emoji14] know that I photoshopped the number plate. Though why I did it still remains a mystery to me. Just that I have seen many other members do it.

Anyway, my Bride looks stunning and we as a couple look very good indeed (at least to my eyes[emoji14]). I badly want to go on a sweet short ride with her, but that would be possible only after I get free from my busy schedule. Will be posting some more pics next week.

A question - My first service is still 400KM away. But my friend, who owns an AS200, suggested me to change the oil and the oil filter after completing the first 300KMS. Should I? And why should I?

Really? That seems to be a good news. You are one lucky RS owner I'd say!
Congrats on getting your bride bro. She looks gorgeous in her yellow gown. Please take great care of her and i promise she will never leave you.

Cannot praise it enough and cannot fill me eyes enough. Sad that I have her and still can't ride freely because I didnt get the Registration number, yet

We should change the engine oil within first few hundred kms because it sheds lot of metal pieces as the machine is new. It is purely your choice whether you want to change the oil till 500kms or you can change it at 200kms one time. This will remove those metal pieces much earlier and the pistons will be saved earlier than usual. Having said that it won't do too much harm to wait till 500kms or first service.

I personally prefer to ride less i.e., only 200-300kms in first month. And I will give the bike for servicing after one month, as they say whichever is earlier.
      Bhargav.

Usually if you are following the gentle run-in procedure as precribled in the user manuel, you can get the oil change done in 500 km. But if you decide to follow the hard break-in procedure (which I personally did not follow), oil change is required earlier.

If you follow Motoman's break-in procedure (Which I strongly advice against), oil needs to be changed as early as 80-100 km.

I don't know if this happens on all sports bike but you feel the vibrations on the handlebar, and as you ride on for longer period, your hands will start to get numb (literally). So you are better off carrying your riding gloves along.

Hey.. What what speed does the vibrations creep in... ? I'm wondering because most of the reviews say that NVH levels on this bike is very low compared to NS. But if your hands getting numb then thats not good bro...

Around 50-60 kmph. Reviews are done using proper gears but I was not wearing gloves. This must have made the difference I guess.

In my bike, vibrations creeps in between 4.7-5 k RPM irrespective of what gear I am driving on. But, the vibrations disappear once I cross 5000 RPM.

Taking it slow since i'm very new to riding, need to get proper gear and all. It looks absolutely huge and sexy as hell in real life compared to pics.

True, same for my bike as well. But I'm not supposed to cross 5000 RPM in run-in, right? I have been using the soft run-in method and never cross 5000 RPM or 60KPH, apart from occasional but gradual bursts up to 6000 RPM.
Two tires feel better than four. Period.

                        Congratulations all the owners.

I have been following the thread from start and have few questions, please help me answer them: ( as a prospective owner)

                        1. The thud sound from front - Isn't it a possibility that 37mm diam forks are not sufficient for this heavy bike and BAL should have used 41mm like Gixxer?
2.. I'm a tourer and would be using the bike for a lot of touring . The wind shield is smaller as compared to AS200. Will this effect cruising at 115-120km/hr? Which one is better? RS or AS for touring?
                        3. Being an FI, there is no kick and bike depends on good condition of battery. What are the chances of battery failing at critical moment? I have seen honda CBR owners cribbing a lot.
                        4. Being a tourer, i'm worried about luggage mounting at back seat with a pillion. Has anybody tried mounting luggage with a pillion? or if you can provide ideas as i see there are no points where we can tie luggage.
                        5. I believe plastic has more tendency to get scratched. While mounting luggage, how does one intend to prevent scratches? Also keeping bag on tank? one way is to have tank cover, but around pillion seat, on side panels, how can we prevent scratching?

Experienced and novice alike, kindly advise.

I've yet to hear this supposed thud sound coming from the front. Drove over speed bumps at 40kmph+ (damn camo bumps.) and didn't hear anything.

For the short people out there like me, it's a little hard to move the bike around but it's manageable. Once you actually start riding, the bike handles beautifully and you don't feel the weight at all.

The only thing i found weird is the clutch friction zone. you need to let go like 80% of the way for it to start moving on its own, which is a lot more compared to the previous bikes ive ridden.

Even i have the vibration and its there in speeds between 45-70 roughly around 4-6k rpm . The thud sound is due to the bike hitting the speed breakers below and not the shock absorber B.S they are saying, with 2 adult males on the bike the bike will hit the speed breaker and give a thud sound unless you slow to 5-10 kmph. After changing the clutch and adjusting it to my angle/requirement i find my hands not paining much anymore. I just have have 1 question i wanted to ask does the engine feel like its grinding too much unnecessarily , i initially thought it was due to the bike being new and all but i have done roughly 650km and the engine still feels little bit coarse and grindy . Also i noticed if you change gears quickly while reving up like going to 4th gear progressively and reaching speeds like 40-50 the sudden noise starts coming in the back like a plastic is stuck in the back tire. Its directly related to you revving and changing the gear quickly . On a postive note the front brakes have become so good after first service ,they are nothing like how the bike was first. They respond smoothly and progressively instead of the sudden bite it had before. Also i got a phone call from sai service saying they "may" have given me the wrong bike number and i need to come to their sai andheri showroom and correct it out. How do i check what my vehicle number is (which document has it ?) In my main documents i could find chasy number and engine number nothing else was clearly visible(i have yet to go through it completely). The bajaj guys are really inefficient man ,one thing after another keeps poping up. I also noticed another thing when i release my clutch when i start my bike i need to just rev it to little above 2k rpms for it to start without stalling ,but on the go or in traffic i need to do it to 3k sometimes 3.5k to prevent stalling(on a straight road with marginal or no incline). I dont think there is any fix for the thud sound ,other than to increase the height a few mm and see if it reduces/stops if any1 does find a fix to the problems to do let me know(vibration,thud,coarse/grindy noise)
