This is very scary bro!!! Anything we can do to our bike to save our bikes? I don't want my bike to be destroyed in minor accidents.

I think the thud sound is from the front wheel cover because it is attached directly to the suspension when suspension works over speed breaker the plastic of the front wheel cover makes noise

This seems terrible. Hope the rider is doing Okay... Poor guy...

Regarding the bike, seems like almost everything has broken, right from handlebar to tail lamp.
Insurance should cover some good portion of it, but seems terrible...
Do you think Yamaha or Suzuki have superior build quality to overcome such bad accidents? I haven't seen too many accidents where the bike is this much damaged!

I dont care about these challenges with novices and all. I enjoy speed not at a cost

Thanks. I am trying to learn cornering, so I think Lavasa should be a good start...

Oh God... What happened? What hit what at what speed? I cant find the details on that post...

I think this wasn't because of falling on the road, it looks like a direct hit by another vehicle on the right hand side...

Looking at the intensity of the crash, I doubt any bike will be able to overcome such accidents. When the handlebar is broken into two, no fairing , however superior quaility, would stand a chance!

The rider would surely taken a bad hit and the half face helmet wouldn't have helped either!

What are the details of the accident? Not able to access the FB link in office

Hi bro, I too had scratches in the exhaust during delivery. I asked them to fix it. They did some touch up with their painter and it's gone.

No doubt that build quality and engine smoothness is superior for SF but the engine is just 150cc. That was the deal breaker for me!

Engine is not as smooth as a CBR but still it goes better with time. Regarding vibrations, I face them only between a band of 4.5-5 k RPM. Beyond 5k RPM, the engine becomes very smooth and there are no vibrations. It is a charm while touring and if touring is your objective, I would strongly suggest to go for RS200 rather than Gixxer SF. For city rides, Gixxer SF might be a better package given the cost.

Regarding the feeling of engine grinding, this will go away as you munch more and more KMs. The engine is still corse. By the time you are done with the run-in, engine will become much smoother.

Regarding gear change query, is you chain properly lubricated? Check if the chain is running dry as it happens during monsoon season. I lube my chain every week/2 weeks during monsoons.

The "wrong" registration thing happened with me too... 3 weeks after the first service I got a call from the service workshop that I gave missed the first servicing. I said "no way" and gave them the details of my first service, even the name of the mechanic who did it. They checked again and reconfirmed the registration number. When I gave my reg number, they said they have a different registration number with them against my name! These guys

BTW, have you received the RC book yet?
WHat do you lube your chain with ? (WD40?and then add normal oil or just wd40) . I had asked about the rc book ,the lady was saying it should have come within 2 months time max 3 months. I still havent recieved it . I got my number changed it was a single number problem. I noticed sometimes when you downshift the gear doesnt go down and gets stuck in the same gear (eg i stop at a signal and have to now go down from 4th gear it doesnt go down unless i move the bike a little forward which becomes problematic at a signal ).Or even when i some times do it while moving but quickly the downshift doesnt register ,the click sound comes but i know its not down shifting because its not a proper click.

Have been using EP90 gear oil for lubrication

It's recommended to use chain spray for even lubrication
Avoid WD40 for O ring chains

The Bajaj guy recommended me to use 3M Chain lubrication..
I have been using the same since long and it lubes the chain quite well.

Also to clean the chain u can use 3M chain cleaner.

You can also use Motul Chain lubes but again these are priced on a higher side.

WD-40 can be used as a cleaner no harm however cheaper and better alternative is diesel and a toothbrush.

why spend so much. use diesel to clean and gear oil to lube.
