Maybe you are asking too much . Most of the time, they don't even serve their purpose well is my major concern. The handle bar mirrors do really help a lot...
Actually they should've provided a dual ABS for this cost. When TVS can give that, why can't Bajaj?, that too charging a premium (1.52 Lac) for it's high end model RS200?. This is the least that I would expect.
If you'll think about it a little hard, the Apache is naked bike, everything minimalistic, and the ABS dual channel costs a mere 8 to 9k extra than the standard variant.

Cost cutting is 100% evident from Bajaj on the RS, just compare the equipment Bajaj offers and TVS offers for the price, you'll realize Bajaj is cheaper still with the single channel ABS. Of course they could have launched the dual channel version, but they are sure it might take a hit on sales when it comes to on road pricing. That might be one part of the equation.

Secondly the catchphrase ABS does instill a little premium bike mindset to the customer, at the end of the day how many know or care it's a single or dual channel so it's a win win for Bajaj.

We Indians are "suckers" for faired motorcycles, it's just that the companies are cashing in on that style quotient.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

I just looked at the Odo while the bike was parked and didn't notice the point and freaked out.

But I do agree with you a 100% we should pay attention to the road and our surroundings at all times.

I agree with all respect. But if you look out between ABS and non-ABS version, the cost difference is almost close to Rs. 15,000 (At least in Chennai, on-road today). So my concerns were only this. With still 15,000 more than standard RS, why couldn't Bajaj provide full ABS assist?, not asking the so praised C-ABS that CBR250r owners enjoy today, but still you know...!!!. Didn't disagree that single channel ABS is not worthy, it's a good to have. But cost difference is the question.

Had initial plans about replacing my NS especially for ABS and windshield needs (for long drives, my NS struggles above 110 a lot) and had been eagerly waiting for SS200(previously said naming). But this step put me back with a little upset. I hope you understood the concern of a local customer expectation

No complains about quality or performance of RS, but this is all about ABS
Now dropped RS for ever, hoping for CS400 with full ABS, Slipper clutch features under 2Lac on-road pricing....

          Hey guys

Just finished my first servicing today. I was present while my bike was being serviced. The most surprising thing was that they replaced the engine oil with MOTUL 3100 gold instead of the bajaj dtsi oil. I dint even ask for the change but am sure they used motul since they took the oil from the Motul drum in the and put in a motul measure rather from the DTSI oil drum which is used for other bikes, plus i was billed for motul oil rather than bajaj oil..The service station is a common one for bajaj ,KTM and Kawasaki in Goa.
Overall the technician seemed to be knowledgeable and did a professional job.
Total cost came to 686/- though i dint ask them to lube my chain i was charged 75/- under labour cost for chain lube and 45 for consumable which shouldn't have been charged since its a free service. Will call up the service guy and clarify.

After the oil change I don't seem to feel any difference, rather i felt slightly more vibrations and engine roughness for the first 20km but after that the extra vibes have vanished but slight roughness still remains. hopefully it too vanishes after some more km.

Uploading the bill, kindly let me know if i was overcharged for anything. I was in a hurry and dint scrutinize the bill since the amount came within what other members have
          quoted.

My hands were aching like hell when I bought the bike. Later I adjusted both the clutch and break lever positions (did it myself.. quite simple only..). Now I don't feel any pain at all. You should try that on your bike.

I didn't try that bro... I was cleaning my bike after a few days, n it came on its own...
Was washing with soup water... N it went off easily.

And I bought a pair of gloves from eBay "Pro biker".. Its great and keeps my palm well circulated with blood and the vibrations are really less this way.. For rides more than 5 kms, I use those... It really helps

Today I happen to see the black color the bike really looks good in real life. Rather than seeing the bike in the picture.
Very good work done in the black version by bajaj did not expect such a good work by them.

Bought it in under two hours straight, 15 mins choosing out of the lot and rest 1 hr 45 mins preparing the motorcycle and delivery.

The lines looks much cleaner and it looks much smaller (in a good way) compared to the red and yellow color option.

Already completed 450 km ready for first service, Bought two RS 200 in a gap of less then 4 months.

Went to buy a RC390 and ended up picking up a RS200 black and I must say there is a difference between the first lot and the current lot.

Breaks are better (better feedback) and vibrations are less and no sounds so far compared to my yellow RS 200.

Has anybody tried the aftermarket adjustable levers for their RS200 (the likes of MOXI or ASV)? I had a doubt regarding these levers: Are they just for better/comfortable grip or do they actually help in better performance like making clutch lighter?

I feel the red and the yellow ones have been tested a lot or the company was I so much of hurry in sending the vehicle to there dealers that they went wrong somewhere I am sure of that. As you are saying that there are less vibes and etc.
on a personal note when I drove the yellow one seriously I did not like it I the first go as the bike which I drove being a brand new bike from the showroom had so much of vibes comming then that tic tic sound from the tappet which was there the whole time overall my experience was a flat 0.

Even my yellow RS 200 has vibrations between 4000 rpm and 5000 rpm, but the Black RS 200 has zero vibrations.

Tappet sound was not there on my yellow RS 200, but my black beauty has developed some tappet noise after I ripped it on the twisties of Koraput.
