    So here is the intro...

I had a pulsar 180 ug 4 then bought a duke 390.....sold duke 390 for liquidating money into new business.....

After a while bought RS 200 for weekend rides......my brother had accident on his 200 dtsi and broke it.....

gave him the yellow 200 RS.....decided to buy RC 390....sold 180 to my cousin.....

applied for loan.....paid the down payment....D day and my loan papers got cancelled as the delivery date was extended beyond one month which is the validity of the loan once it get approved.....

Had choice of applying for loan again and waiting for a week or get a RS 200 black.....Needed a transportation urgently as I sold my old one....Gave up and bought a RS 200 black.

Hence I named my black RS 200 the "UNEXPECTED".

One valuable lesson I learned.....never go for damn loan at least for motorcycle. Bajaj finance sucks and so do most banks when it comes to two wheeler loans (super bikes being a exception).

So, that's the end of owning two RS
Black color RS looks really better than the other two, esp in hiding unwanted curves or sticker works. Hope Bajaj rectifies this for their RS400 (if to be launched). Now, taking loans with private finance companies like Bajaj is not good, their interests rates are high. I took mine by paying some through cash and rest through credit card, later did a Balance transfer from one card to other and converted that as monthly EMI. The interest was less, unlike finance companies, the tenure can be 3 or 6 months. Hence my total interest paid was about 6.5% and that ended the deal.

One question for you. If you have driven a Duke390, you should have at least taken a Duke 200 or CBR250(RC is for extremely thin butt guy). Of course there could be other reasons, BUT still, how come you choose RS200?. Because after test riding a Duke 390, I felt my bike very under-powered and struggling for breathing (it wasn't before TD D390 )

Yeah... my work requires me less regular travel and my rides are mostly less used and in pristine conditions.

So my brothers always looking out if I am selling my ride.....and I do end up selling them for the name of the family relationship sentiments....lol.

Duke 390 its powerful...yes....but its not for the city....it luggs and is not smooth(non slipper clutch model) and I was never gonna buy a duke 390 again....duke/rc 200 in comparison with RS 200 are not VFM.......RS can do all the things a ktm 200 can do, maybe a little slower and little less style and little less exclusivity, but it gets the job done. Only place where a KTM 200 shines is if you are in a race against a RS 200. RC200 was out of question as just 20000 rupees more for duke 390 and I get a bigger engine and add another 30000 rupees to that I get bigger engine and full fairing but I didn't had that much cash to buy a RC 390.

RS 200 has full fairing and a racy sitting position which I like, RC 200 has all that and some more, but 40000k more will make sense if you are hitting the race track which I will not.(owners who are happily using it as daily ride no offence, its just a IMO)

For touring a RS200 a bigger tank, better fuel efficiency and its cheaper to maintain (KTM are also) and anyways I will be selling it soon when I am done to my hearts full content and at the ghat roads it is fun to ride, but I HATE MRF (I mean it from my heart).

Hopefully soon something mouth watering is launched or KTM upgrades or betters the current line up and will back again in my wheeler dealer mode with one of my brothers.

If not I will definitely buy a RC390 ASAP, its become my life's mission. I mean seriously its not even a super bike how hard can it be.

Regarding loans, I didn't want to wait and KTM and Bajaj promised I will get my RC in two weeks which due to festive season postponed indefinitely.

            Hello Everyone,

Its been 3 months with my Pulsar RS 200 and I have completed 4256 kms till now. I know for some serious riders its less but my daily traveling is limited to 12kms and i own Pulsar 180 Ug4 which i use alternately. After completing 500 kms and the first servicing i went for my first long ride along with the bike's group The Throttle Twisters to Nashik (Talyachi Wadi) with my RS 200. Then i went to Satpati beach in Palghar, for which ii had posted video link on this forum before. After two weeks i went to Velneshwar Beach which is one the isolated beach on half way to Goa.

Recently i did my life's Longest Bike ride to Udaipur : The City Of Lakes
It was 750 kms journey one way and overall we did 1600 kms in 4 days trip. We were 7 Riders. It took 14 Hrs to reach Udaipur from mumbai, we had multiple food and petrol breaks as we were just riding safely at a speed of 90 - 100 kmph. Well some people might think why this guys is say 100 kmph a safe speed to ride, so let me tell that roads to Gujarat and Rajastan are superb smooth and wide. One can reach udaipur within 12hrs by reducing breaks.
Experience was awesome, still can't believe that i had rode to Udaipur. Its like a Dream.

Soon will do another long ride ...

Below is the Video of my bike ride trip to Udaipur

Here are the previous bike rides videos links:

I hope you guys enjoyed my videos

            Keep on Riding

Agreed, But still a Duke 200 is a vfm product if you considering RS200. Because the price difference is not that huge, but that gets destroyed if you do long trips for which Duke 200 is not fit. And why hadn't you looked for better ones like new Mojo or CBR250?.

Duke 200 is tried and tested where as pulsar 200 RS is a comparatively new entrant, I am scared a bit and already starting to regret (because of power and weight mainly)

Mahindra is the worst brand....yes on the paper and the gadgets it offers is brilliant but the product it self won't even last a year, its worst.(experience from owning previous products and not Mojo).

Honda two wheelers is run by jerks and the showroom is a joke as well as service cost is a joke played on customer and 190000 for 250 and so little to offer that too when the world is given the latest product and we get color upgrades??? I would rather take my chances with a KTM and bajaj.

Update on my RS 200 :

Already feeling bored of the power.....I mean it doesn't feel like it has 24 horses under , only thing that reminds you is heat.

Power to weight ratio of RS 200 and 180 dtsi is 145 and 117 respectively.

engine is smooth so first service later I assume it will be more smooth, gear shifts are positive , breaks are good.

Tyre is a joke.... I mean when does it start to have grip?

500 km on black RS 200 and 4500 km on yellow RS 200.....Still no grip....I hate MRF.

Is anyone facing mileage issues on the RS200? One of my friends has a yellow rs200 ABS, has completed his first service and done about 2800km on the bike in Mumbai. Riding mostly consists of city riding with about 20% highway riding. He is getting about 25-28kmpl in city and around 30-32 kmpl on highway. SVC said servicing will solve the issue, which hasn't happened. Another SVC says the figured are proper for an RS200 :/
                    Any solution ?

That's why I asked you, why didn't you pick Duke 200?. It's currently the best hardware the money can get today. Honda I too am aware the service sucks and a bit overpriced. But the quality of tried and tested engine is a bliss to ride. But personal choices differ and neither do I own a CBR250. Of course everybody knows RS weighs 20 Kgs more than NS or even more compared to Duke 200 and hence the power to weight ratio will be less compared too and even Duke 390 weighs 10Kg less than RS. This is what is making you feel it. But sometimes weight can help, like high speed stability, but lacks nimbleness or flexibility. Riders coming from smaller bikes will not complain much about pickup but only weight. And they will love it to core until get a chance to ride a bike like D390 (Like me)

MRF sucks, agreed but I should thank Bajaj for not fitting Eurogrips on RS (in the name of cost cutting) like they did for NS and AS. That's even worser. I'm aware how good those metzeler tires are, defaulted on Stock and I believe which itself will cost about 15-18K which is unbeatable and no wonder why you hate MRF. But that's not a big deal. You can change them but don't know about resale value of stock.

I didn't know what to do, I tried slowing down but was closing at him so fast.. And I pressed the front brakes so hard that I made a stoppie ... Now when I press the front brakes, a squeaky sound comes... I have finished 570 kms, and will be giving my bike to service by this week... Will that hard braking do any harm? Can the sound be fixed ? Please help. Thanks in advance .

I ve used motomax liquid wax and carnauba,i didn't feel satisfied!! Even it doesnt hides very small scratches,
Tried to buy 3M liquid polish but its hard to get in stores.
No matter which branded polish you use, the paint will not hold up a life time (All hail bajaj), Best option is try search local brand polish and don't buy paste or hard type.

Try to search for liquid spray type which is easy to apply and best way to protect paint is cover the motorcycle and try to avoid parking in direct sunlight for over long period of time specially during noon and after.

Its the best hardware for city and absolute acceleration, but as I said RS 200 has free wind screen and better fuel efficiency (I lost it bro when my dream of RC got shattered and I made a hasty decision)

Euro grips are like.....I don't even know. MRF are good in long run as they tend to have less puncture and they long last, but the grip they offer is dangerous, because when you are on straight it holds good, but moment it sees corner it goes into fizzy giving little to no feedback of what's happening between the tyre and road.

Planning to get most probably my favorite Michelin or if I can up size will get the metz just for fun. Don't know how R15 owners live with it.

The break pads must have dust or hard breaking has made the break pads dust deposited unevenly on the friction surface. Hopefully the sound should go with a little cleaning.

I am having problems adjusting with the breaks, Its very good and its not like old pulsars which used to make the motorcycle slide side ways, as this one makes a stoppie even at low speeds.

Wonder how the abs model behaves.
