Agree with you: MRF are more generic to use with good straight line performance but not very good for cornering. But they have longer life as compared to Michelin.

Eurogrips are like those irritationg lab assistants who trouble you for the whole semester and then when you need them the most during practicals, they fail you. Totally useless!!!

Please help. Thanks in advance .
I am also facing this problem since day 1. Initially it made squiky sound that too at very lesser times and one can only hear it in silent background. I complained about it in my 1st service. He said he will check it out and did nothing anyways. Now I've completed around 3200 kms and now I hear a sound like something is scratching on the front disk when I use front break even at very low pressure. It is very annoying sometimes and I'm gonna get it fixed on my 2nd service. If anyone here has any temporary solution, please do share.

Wonder how the abs model behaves.
If you have ever ridden on Euro, then you would be surprised with MRF and will really appreciate. But since you have come from top to bottom, there is no way you will be surprised. But most of the Pulsar owners are happy with MRF and so are Duke 200 owners too. But MRF revs are better than zapper, Duke 200 uses Revs. But when it comes to better performance bikes like Duke390, MRF isn't enough. But sad to see them sitting on R3 , simply for the name "Cost Cutting".

But when there comes a need for tire change, you also get the option to choose good ones.

Check for any dirt, sand, mud, etc. Rotate the wheel and check for yourself where the sound comes from. The SVC mostly what they do is do some sandpaper scratching. If that doesn't solve, then the disc plate itself might have miss-aligned hence making scratching sound.

Just apply compressed air between the brake pads, or open the caliper and clean the pads with a cloth and refit it, don't apply brake while the caliper is removed from disk or you might need to adjust the brakes again by bleeding it.

My case seems to be a little different.. This sound started only after that hard breaking.. And now, I can feel the difference in front breaking.. When I apply the front breakes, the bikes slowed down, and at some particular point of the disc, the breaking is a little harder than before. I feel the bike jerking when I break at slow speeds.. It feels like, at some particular point of front disc, the contact is closer than other areas, and so, at that place the breaking is harder.. I feel like my front disc may be bent..
                Please advice..

I actually started with.....I don't even remember what tires bajaj chetak came with, then I had a tvs sport and then a lml vespa(4 gear old one).

So when I got my 200 and 180 pulsar I did appreciate the tyre but when I started to comfortably handle the power the tires where not enough. As you said about R3 its just simple cost cutting.

180 and 200 had worst frame(in terms of handling) , but its sad to see such bad tires on such capable machines like R3 and 200 RS. Have to wait till these tires are bald.

                    Update :

My black beauty has started to vibrate, reasons being dry chain and engine oil has lived its life. No more long trips till first service.

                        I have few general inquiries:

                        1. The level of engine oil is not visible at all when the bike is cold and held straight. However when i ride bike for some time, i see that level of oil is between the bars. Is this normal? Has anyone noted same issue? further if i have to top up, can i use any other engine oil like motul or need to top up with Bajaj oil? will there be an issue if i mix up the oils?
                        2. For coolant, can i add motul coolant on top of HP coolant currently used? Will there be an issue with different brands. I hope not as chemicals used must be similar.
                        3. Also i have seen a couple of screws falling from under the belly area. Has anyone else noted? I suppose these are resultant of vibrations in engine.

                        Kindly reply.

Regarding coolant i have added motul coolant to topup,(cant visit service center every time to topup just 100ml of coolant, before topup do check signs for coolant leaks)

Do post pictuers of fallen screws, so we can findout whats happening.

                              1. Don't mix different engine oil. Yet don't know the practical outcome, but remember, viscosity changes and it might trigger unwanted, engine overheat, performance effect, unknown effects

                              2. Coolant recommended by bajaj is motul as in 200ns manual. Don't know how hp came into RS. Mixing of coolant should not create any problem. Either the coolant might be less effective if any thing should go wrong...

                              3. Screws falling is common with bajaj, but from engine area?... Good if you specify the spot...

                                Hey mate!!!!
High beam on the right is actually supposed to be targeting slightly on left side. It is aimed due to a reason. If it is on the straight right portion of the road in pitch black it can blind the incoming vehicle towards you. As you know well that the RS projector lamps are extra sharp in light. So better let it be as it is adjusted by the production unit. RIDE SAFE AND LET EVERYONE...
