    Hi Folks,

I have a question for all the RS owners about the graphics of this bike. I have noticed some stickers coming off from my right side rear panel. Also i found a small patch of paint defect just below the area where the stickers are peeling off. I assume that the stickers are not coated with lacquer and therefore they are coming off easily, please correct me if I'm wrong. Also i noticed a very small defect on the left hand side bottom corner of the tank area near the tank protection pad, its hardly noticeable until you take a close look. I have complained to the service supervisor at Sai service Borivali and he said that he forwarded my complaint to Bajaj and also spoke to his senior. I hope they will resolve this issue for me but at the same time i think is it worth opening up the bike and getting the parts changed or should i just ignore these issues and live with it. Is anyone facing any similar issues regarding any stickers coming off?.

Will post some pictures in the next few days. Thanks in advance

      Hi,

I didn't face any problem with my current ride which is the RS 200, but I faced similar issue with my 200 dtsi, It had the same paint peeling off issue and sticker coming of as if the paint was drying.

The only solution is get the body panels changed under warranty claiming manufacturing defect, they will try to play ball with you by saying paint is not covered under warranty, but be stubborn and raise your voice.

I got two front fenders, 3 silencers, 1 rear panel, all changed under warranty on my pulsar 200 dtsi.

I'm also facing this problem. Stickers are of very poor quality and peel off very easily. I wanted to know if we can get rid of all the stickers and let the bike be fully red. I hate the white part of the stickering.

For me, the paint and sticker is fine. Although I hope to get rid of the stickers soon.

Hey Rachit if you get rid of the stickers please don't forget to share pictures here. I'm too thinking to get rid of them but I'm a bit scared if it will affect the paint or might leave some stain or marks.

Guys please dont try removing the stickers its not a good idea. The reason im saying this is because I've noticed paint coming off under one of my stickers.

Looking at the scratch on the red bike, I see somebody has deliberately used a sharp object and scratched it rather than paint coming off on its own.

                  Cheers,
                  Sanjay

Actually what I had in mind was getting rid of the stickers and getting the front fairing re-painted in black. I checked with Sai Service, the authorised Bajaj delaer in Mumbai and they quoted a price of 12k for full body paint. If I get it done outside, it will cost me much less.

Given that how big a lazy a** I am, I think it will take some time for the job to be done

                      Hi All,
One quick question whats the rear tyre on the RS? Is it MRF Rev Z-S?

                      • [/MENTION], Bro It was not easy, my major luck was that when I bought the 200 dtsi it was the crowned Jewell of pulsar range and then of course 220 and avenger followed.

Anyways regarding getting rid of stickers, As zma@mybabe mentioned the paint may come off while removing the sticker.

I tried to get rid off "oil cooled" sticker of my old ride 200 dtsi and the paint came right off with it, luckily my motorcycle was black in color so the plastic black and remaining black paint blended well.

Lastly If you guys are thinking getting it stripped off the stickers, Check out this picture :

Did anyone face issues with the coolant level too low. I refilled the coolant even before its first service. Also the bike gets heated up too often. There is a also burning smell when it gets heated. Not sure if its from the engine or the tyres Otherwise the bike is pretty smooth and great fun. I have ridden around 800 km on this bike. Getting its first service tomorrow.

Anyone have any suggestions? would the levers made for the 200 NS fit on the RS?

Even I am facing the same difficulty. Try reversing the handle. I am thinking of the same. Use the left one as right and reverse the handle. Do the same for right one. I am not sure if it works, since the fairing is big, the handle might touch the fairing. Even I am planning the same, but couldn't try it due to busy schedule. I am not sure if it affects the handling of bike. May be some experts can comment on this.

                                Hi guys,

I have few doubts, please clarify:

                                1. The engine heats up a lot in city riding, even though the traffic is not so high. Did anyone face same problem? The radiator kicks in a lot times and I feel like I am riding a heater. Please let me know.

                                2. The idling is almost near to 2k. Is it possible to reduce it? I asked in SV, but that person didn't know that and told me its not possible in this bike. Has anyone tried to reduce it?

                                3. Is there a reserve switch like in older pulsars in RS? I didn't find it in my RS. Let me know if it is present.

                                Thanks in Advance!
