I doubt low fuel has something to do with this issue but that too is not acceptable ...

Ohk.seems to be an issue.may be its the clutch acting strange.but its just my guess.Originally posted by Black0ut View PostNo it won't lug as I am applying full clutch.. it gets off abruptly without any suffering.. its like switching off the power to a fan..
Take it to svc and ask them to see why its happening.if possible give a demo.

.. My rs was a victim of the recent flood in chennai.. it was under 10 ft water for more than 30 hrs...I missed to disconnect the battery before it got drowned.. odometer automatically switched on when the water reached tht level..i doubt bike got started while under water.. because I noticed rpm meter was struck at 1.6 k when I took it to svc..

I'd suggest stick to manual for long term health as well as to ensure the warranty doesn't get affected due to irregular servicing of the vehicle!Originally posted by RAPTOR DELTA View PostWhat is the best time to do 2nd service for my Raptor?? Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
2nd service is at 240 days or 4500-5000 km, whichever comes first. Try getting the service done before the deadline or the warranty stands violated.Originally posted by RAPTOR DELTA View PostWhat is the best time to do 2nd service for my Raptor?? 4000 kms on mineral oil??!!!! Thats way too long...I'd suggest an oil change at around 2.5k kms for engine health when using mineral oil.Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View Post2nd service is at 240 days or 4500-5000 km, whichever comes first. Bajaj folks dont think the same way. In the manual, they recommend just a topup in second service not changeOriginally posted by John P Daniel View Post4000 kms on mineral oil??!!!! Thats way too long...I'd suggest an oil change at around 2.5k kms for engine health when using mineral oil.
On a serious note, don't you think 2.5k km is too less an interval? It may be an overkill...Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

2.5k is a good oil change interval time for mineral oil.Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostBajaj folks dont think the same way. In the manual, they recommend just a topup in second service not change

Also depending on your usage.
Around 3k for semi synthetic.
And about 5k for fully synthetic.
But people do push these for further usage.
Do check the dip stick and see the quality of the oil---

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
2.5k is the max for mineral oil. 2k is optimal and beyond that, gentle use can extend the oil life. But the engine will be rough beyond 2k kms. Semi-synthetic can be used approx to a max of 5k kms. And it is in no way an overkill..Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostBajaj folks dont think the same way. In the manual, they recommend just a topup in second service not change

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Yes seems like some issue that we have been discussing to bike stopping abruptly. My bike is in normal condition and not affected due to Chennai floods. I am in Gurgaon and bike switches off even when full clutch is pressed.
I am not sure if the fuel thing has really to do something with it. Now i have full tank and the problem seems to come less now what it was at 3 bars. Might be something due to FI system?
