I am not sure if the fuel thing has really to do something with it. Now i have full tank and the problem seems to come less now what it was at 3 bars. Might be something due to FI system?
I'd suggest getting a clean up done. Hope no dirt or adulteration in petrol! Always ensure tank is above 4 bars at least. But still it's cutting off on full tank right? Well, please get it checked, especially the fuel pump!

However this happens only on a down hill slope and within a couple of Kms from starting the bike. It happens irrespective of fuel quantity, happened once on a full tank. Also its not regular, sometimes it doesn't occur even if i repeat under similar conditions. Since 90% of my commute are short <5 km rides, i used to attribute this rare stalling incidence to the engine not being warmed enough. Two culprits could be fuel pump failing or contaminants in the fuel tank.Originally posted by judebrent View PostI'd suggest getting a clean up done. Hope no dirt or adulteration in petrol! Bike has just covered 2k km and still gives mileage of 38 to 40kmpl overall.
I will take the bike to the SVC in the new year but before those grease monkeys start experimenting on my bike ,i would appreciate any help that would keep me a step ahead of them.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
agreed on the second part completely. When i told a number of problems during my first free service, the SVc guy who was specialized for Rs 200 said to me that don't make anyone anywhere irrespective of Bajaj authorized or any other mechanic open your bike too much. Unless you feel there is something definitely in there or is really worth we will definitely take care of it but if you see something small do not worry and try to avoid opening up the internals. The bike is expensive and new to many of us (svc guy who are not too used to such bikes) and things may further worsen up.Originally posted by Rambo1o1 View PostI too have a similar issue regarding bike shutting down while clutch is pressed fully. Though i got most of things fixed, he might have got away or deliberately wanted to go away from this bike getting stalled problem.
Besides i saw a black abs rs 200 whose engine was giving issues in 200 or 300km. They did not tell me the cause and bike was looking in very sorry state. Sad to see the engine getting damaged so early.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I talked abt this to RS mechanic he said few Rs owners has this problem and it is water not oil.. it is due to using different petrols like speed and normal. it will subside once u start filling petrol at same gas station.. try it and update us ur issue...Originally posted by omendrA9 View PostThanks for the reply bro i'm from jaipur and i'm facing the problem after first service.

Just something I've observed. If I use "Speed" petrol (2 Rupees more expensive than normal petrol) my bike behaves much smoother. Doesn't jerk in low rpm and doesn't stall.Originally posted by Black0ut View PostI talked abt this to RS mechanic he said few Rs owners has this problem and it is water not oil.. it is due to using different petrols like speed and normal. it will subside once u start filling petrol at same gas station.. try it and update us ur issue...
I have been using this fuel for a while now and plan to use it as much as possible. I would suggest other owners to start using fuel which brings out the best in the bike, and keep on using it to avoid these problems related to cheap fuel.

Hope it recovers well...
[QUOTE=rachitsharma2000;1194717]2nd service is at 240 days or 4500-5000 km, whichever comes first. Try getting the service done before the deadline or the warranty stands violated.[/
Thanks for your guide mate.. You have any idea about oil top up in between 2nd service??

Also depending on your usage.
Around 3k for semi synthetic.
And about 5k for fully synthetic.
But people do push these for further usage.
Do check the dip stick and see the quality of the oil
Hi mate. Can you give me some clear idea about Mineral oil, semi synthetic, full synthetic??????????????????

I'd suggest stick to manual for long term health as well as to ensure the warranty doesn't get affected due to irregular servicing of the vehicle!
So what they say is 4500km is fine?? Coz i swa mate here are going quite early for 2nd. anything special???

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey buddy,
What do you wish to know about these oils ?
Also regarding your query of topping up oil, don't worry about oil top up between service intervals. If you're using Bajaj oil just make sure to change the oil every time you head for a service.
Bajaj guys claim that their oil is semi synthetic. Don't know how true that is.
If your usage is limited to city commute and few highway rides then semi synthetic is a good option for you.
If you're a rider who loves to keep the engine near the redline then fully synthetic is better as it will keep the engine in good condition.
Would recommend to avoid mineral oil post 5k kms as these machines are built for higher revs.
The RS shares the engine of the duke which comes with Motul semi synthetic from the factory.---

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Speed contains petrol additives, while the octane remaining the same. But the SVC used to tell "avoid adding additives on oil and Petrol". But your case, it's strange. Lower compression motorbikes generally don't need any higher octane gasoline to prevent knocking issue or loss of bhp at wheel. A 200cc bike of 11.1:1 is not "that" high to demand a higher octane. What makes me surprised is, does additive help?. That's something new that I've never heard.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostJust something I've observed. If you feel differences, try out shell V power, which some NS owners earlier suggested that it gave a better NVH.

I was surprised to learn this too. Me and my friend have same bikes, his being the black color ABS version. We have tried almost all types of Petrol available here.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostSpeed contains petrol additives, while the octane remaining the same. Both the bikes stall and jerk a lot below 3K RPM if we use normal petrol. However this happens very rarely when we use this "Speed" petrol. Also, when let go of the throttle (without pulling in the clutch), the bike gives a big jerk on normal petrol, not so with the Speed petrol. I hope using this fuel isn't harmful for our bikes, that would mean switching back to the cheaper normal fuel.
I personally know a few more RS 200 owners here, I will ask them what fuel they use and how their bike behaves.
I'll also ask the SVC here and share their thoughts. Thanks!
Edit: No Shell gas stations nearby, but I'll see if I can find one somewhere outside the city.Last edited by Minisoda; 12-23-2015, 03:38 PM.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I believe this can be a issue. I will share my experience here: When i brought my bike i got the tank filled from my hometown and experienced no issues. Last week, Monday, i filled the tank again, but this time from a Delhi petrol pump around Airport. After that i started getting this issue more. Again this monday i filled the tank to full but from my home town and have not experienced this irritating Stall issue again. I would definitely ask this Delhi dealer which petrol he put in the bike.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostI was surprised to learn this too.
