Heyy we're out here to help each other! You're not annoying me at all this forum was created to discuss these things.Originally posted by abhilashsaha View PostMine done about 3200kms. Do you hear any tiktik noise from engine ? Hope I am not annoying you brother lol..
Regarding the tik tik noise, yes it comes from my bike as well. It's the tappets!
I complained to Bajaj and I even made a video about it:
here
I'm yet to hear back from them. I even went to Alibag Bajaj (120 kms away) to see if they're willing to open up the bike and fix this noise. But even they refused and said it's normal for a high revving engine to have loose tappets.
If you do get it sorted that's good for you. I hope you have better luck than me!

Thanks brother. I showed a well known ktm service manager for the tiktik noise he said it is normal for this kinda high revving engine to have slightly loose tappets.even my friend's rs200 also have that noise. That's why I stopped thinking about that noise.bt these sohc engines need tappet adjustment at regular intervals.

Yes but so far no one was able to give me a straight answer why my tappets are loose and why my friends aren't. I guess I'll have to live with it.Originally posted by abhilashsaha View PostThanks brother. My pleasure buddy. I don't think they'll bother replying to me now since it's been a month and I haven't got anything. Do post here if you get a response. Good luck!Originally posted by abhilashsaha View PostLet me know if bajaj reply back .thanks

Doesn't your friend have tiktik noise ? I thought both the bikes in the video have the tiktik noise.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostYes but so far no one was able to give me a straight answer why my tappets are loose and why my friends aren't. I guess I'll have to live with it.

Nope!Originally posted by abhilashsaha View PostDoesn't your friend have tiktik noise ? I thought both the bikes in the video have the tiktik noise.
As I said in the video you have to listen with the volume way up. What you hear in his bike is the puff puff sound which comes from the exhaust.
His bike doesn't have the tappet sound at all.

Yellow bike is mine.Originally posted by abhilashsaha View PostI noticed the yellow one having more pronounced noise than the black one.mine is like the black one.which engine oil you are using ?
I've been using the same Bajaj oil from the start. Same holds for the black one in the video.

Use motul 7100.it will smoothen the engine and vibes will be less to.i am using 5100 bt from next I will be using 7100. It is the best oil for these engines said by the senior ktm service engineer.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostYellow bike is mine.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
My bike frequently will stop when I decelerate suddenly. After switching to Motul 5100 engine is not stopping. I was expecting the engine off whenever I decelerate suddenly but today engine was not stopped. I am not sure whether this issue related to engine oil. But this change I noticed after engine oil change.Originally posted by abhilashsaha View PostUse motul 7100.it will smoothen the engine and vibes will be less to.i am using 5100 bt from next I will be using 7100.
