Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
They had to open up the bike completely to replace just the display. I would've attached pictures but it says they're too big.Originally posted by abhilashsaha View PostNice to hear bro. I wonder though how your tappet noise reduced after replacing the console? By the way I am happy the noise is less now.cheers brother.
Because they had the tank and all already out, I told them to have a look at the tappets as well since they won't be opening up the bike again anytime soon.
I'll report after a few days about the sound if it increases or decreases with time (hopefully it'll decrease).
Hope this helps. Cheers!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
here is the sound that i am talking about:Originally posted by Minisoda View PostI have a friend who has a black RS 200. We kept his bike in storage for a month. We took out all the fuel and disconnected the battery.
It started the first time we cranked it after some 30 days without a problem. It has been smooth sailing for him since.
Could you describe the sound and also what part of the bike it comes from?

You mean the squeaky sound?Originally posted by nayan_jindal View Post
More than likely it's from the disc (either one). I'd say ride the bike without using the brakes (or push it), and then touch the discs one by one. If they are very hot, then the pads are rubbing against the disc.Get them loosened up a bit at the SVC.
If the sound comes from the rear of the bike then it's most probably the chain bushing which is gone. There is a small rubber mount which keeps the chain from scratching the swing arm, maybe that's worn out. Do tell them to have a look at that as well.
Cheers!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hi guys!
I'm Lubaid from Jammu and Kashmir.Firstly, I want to thank you all for all the indepth reviews about the RS 200.
Now about my story, I booked my bike on 9th December 2015. I wanted a 2016 variant of the bike so the sales executive told me, " Sir you won't get it so very soon" Hearing those words broke my heart, I wanted the beast sooner than the timeline , which was first week of February. Researching and reading reviews of the bike , I found this thread and that was the best day of my life. A bible about my bike 😍 .. Days kept on looking like months and I kept on calling Paris Bajaj(that's the name of the bajaj showroom) and they kept on telling me ,"Sir it's going to take us some more time".
100 years later came February! On February I called the showroom guys and they said," Sir we're sorry for the inconvenience but its going to take a month" and there my dreams shattered!
From then on I kept on saying myself , Don't think about the bike mann the days are just gonna pass like a breeze.
Days passed my urge for the bike started creeping in again! So I called the showroom guys and they promised me to deliver the bike on 29th of February! But it was still Friday ,two more days to go !
29th February The Delivery
At about 10:30A.M I got a call from the showroom ,"Sir the bikes have arrived, you can come and have your bike by 2PM. I talked to my dad about this and we were ready at about 1:30 PM. The drive to the showroom was endless! I just wanted to have a look at my RED DEVIL!
We reached the showroom , I saw my bike and It was absolutely a bliss. I had prepared a list of what to check when the bike gets delivered. But when I saw my beast , I almost forgot everything I had listed down 😁 But checked for the scratches , dents, coolant levels etc.
Got our paperwork done and gave the mechanic some tip who checked all the nuts and bolts and then I was ready to go!!
But then I controlled my emotions and handed the bike keys to dad and said Papa ap chala lo(you drive it) He said ,"I'm too old for this ap chala lo ap chalao ya main chalaavun ek hi baat hai". So I sat on the saddle put the helmet and the gloves on. When I pressed the start button, WROOOOOM! The bike started in just one go. The exhaust sound was sweet!
About the bike
Its heavy! Yeah its heavy when going slow but linear after 40+. The bike goes over 60+ in no time , didn't go beyond that till now.
Rode my bike for 50km now, The gears are hard but I guess they'll smoothen with time. Noticeable amount of vibrations on the foot pegs at 4k RPM in 3rd gear. There's just one problem, Sometimes I have to upshift for a downshift because when directly down shift doesn't work. Seat is on a bit harder side. The rest of the bike is AMAZING!
Thankyou guys for bearing with me and my story 😊
Ps - Sorry for my english.

Hi,
Is it required to add engine oil additive to increase the engine smoothness? Anyone used for your bike? Will it reduce the foot peg vibration? I have tightened the foot rest screws.
Also tell me about fuel injector cleaner. I just wanted to know since my engine stops whenever I decelerate suddenly.

No additive needed for bike.Originally posted by 2008venkatesh View PostHi,

Also if you feel that engine is stopping after deceleration, then just take it to showroom n get the initial rpm set to 1800.
This will fix your issue.
Enjoy rhe beast
This is nothing to worry about. Gear shifts will smoothen after 1000KMS...Originally posted by Lubaid Qazi View PostHi guys!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Got my screeching metal noisefixed!! I used to get this noise when I used accelerate quickly after shifting to the 1st gear. Thought it was issue with the front disc or something. But luckily the service engineer knew that it was coming from the engine area. Said something about some bedding rubbing against something else. And, he fixed it! No more embarrassing launches at the signal
My fairing gaps keep increasing and they keep re-fitting the fairing. This won't work in the long run so I'm planning to get Bajaj to replace the entire fairing under warranty because it's a manufacturing defect. Wish me luck!
Got my second service done. Can you please check the bill and let me know if the prices are right ? Bill also contains polishing and had to replace and the tail-light reflector.
Now onto some minor mods. Removed all the decals from the bike. Never liked them. They are worth 4k it seems.
Installed Anti-Theft with Remote Start. And yes, the bike will leap forward if you use remote start when the bike is in gear
Installed a mobile holder after a recommendation from one of the owners in this thread. Thanks alot!
Also installed a USB charger. Wrapped it in duct tape to protect it from the elements.
