You guys are not getting my point!!??

When we press Pass switch(when engine is OFF) with lowbeam & high beam switch is at high beam both low & high beam lights Up,
With lowbeam & highbeam switch is at lowbeam it only lights Up high beam.

What are you on about? How is this untrue? I own these bikes and this is what I have observed!

I can prove this if you want. I doubt any Pulsar out there has a pass switch that works once the high beam is ON. The same goes for the Discover's.

I know they have DC "Electricals", that however doesn't seem to be of much use since you can't even turn any of the bloody lights ON without first starting the engine!

Also, Excessive power drain? From what 2 seconds of flashing a bulb?!

If a bike much cheaper with a weaker battery and AC Electronics can do it, I have all the reason to believe that our bikes with much bigger batteries and DC Electronics can do it too!

For the 2nd time buddy I do get what you're saying. Happens in my bike as well. Are you implying that it shouldn't happen? If all the RS 200's behave in the same way then I don't see why this is a problem.

Well its not problem, but why didnt they put separate wiring for pass switch!!
At least they could have used something to stop reverse flowing current!!
No matter what the situation is it has to lightup only high beam!!
(well im saying from my view)
It cant be observed that easily with single unit bulbs, (high n low beams are from one bulb)

My brother-in-law has the Hero-Honda Passion PRO. When the High Beam is ON, and if you press the pass switch, it actually works! Even when the High beam is ON!

My Discover had this same behavior, the pass switch is useless while riding with a high beam. I guess it's typical for Bajaj to do this.
Because ns/rs/as/p180/p220 use battery's current to light up and old discover and passion use current generated by dynamo and if u press the pass button high beam(passion/discover) use battery current

Yes both headlights are lit up if the pass switch is pressed while engine is OFF. Only High beam is ON if Low beam is selected. Noticed this yesterday when my friend wanted to take a picture with the lights ON. I think this is just the way Bajaj intended and wired our bikes.

About the 8K rpm, I haven't taken my bike up to that much rpm so can't comment on that buddy!

Another niggle is that if you are already on High Beam, the pass switch is useless because it does nothing. You have to manually switch Low and High beams to imitate the Pass switch.

Strange questions that I think only Bajaj or someone with more knowledge can answer!
Yes, me too observed the same thing on my rs
But there is one more issue that in the morning nowadays (in winters/delhi), all the warning lights of engine oil, battery, over heat and engine sign glows untill i run the byk for atleast 8 to 10kms.....

            Donno whats the problem....

Hey guys, what's the widest tyre size you can fit in the rear? The bike is begging for something bigger than a 130mm. Thanks.

So sad dude. same incident happened with my friend for his four wheeler due to rain and underground parking.
Insurance covered 50% the charges. You talk to insurance company for at the least 50% coverage.

Chennai flood has created panic among Insurance companies and they estimated 2031 crores of claims for the vehicles.

Wish you good luck to soon back on road with your beast

Found this helmet lock at my office parking in Red RS200. I had a convo with him and found that he bought this wire lock from Decathlon.
                  Attached pics for your views.

I wonder if he is also in this group.

Yeah I know most of the other brand service center is also same here. Sad thing is nothing can be done about it.

Took the beauty for a weekend ride and it was very calm through out and never felt out of power or out of comfort zone.

One problem I noticed though was the exhaust note, it was giving a air escaping sound like the air fuel mixture was not correct or something.

                        Some pics from the ride

                          Hey All,

I bought myself Pulsar rs 200 (non-abs) yellow on Saturday and man, it does catch the Eye. An awesome bike in all terms. And this is my first post on the forum.

Few queries if you guys can help me out with:

                          1) I have driven around 220km already in 4 days and have reached around 130km/h thrice and due to normal driving by highway standards it normally goes upto 80kmph by itself.

Would it have any adverse affect on the engine? If yes, what should i do now? If not, what should i take care in my first free service. I would reach 500km by next week itself.

                          2) Is it useful to get a center stand? Has anyone tried that?
                          3) Does the bike have any form of emergency indicator where both of them glows? If yes, how to get it done? If not, how to get it without voiding warranty. I was reading the owner's manual and it said doing anything to bike without official or from service center may void warranty. Has anyone tried that.
                          4) Does the bike have a main fuel shut off, like the one's present in other standard bikes, somewhere down the engine?

If anyone would like to share any experiences with me or tips to enjoy the bike and prolong its life, that would be great.

                          Cheers!

I'm thinking to buy soon the black one 😊

Well i would recommend you not to speed the bike very much and the rpm should not pass the 5k mark before 1000 kms of your run on the bike..it may decrease your top end in the long run as many of my friends who have different bikes has lost their top ends drastically because they rode hard at high rpms before their 1st service

                            Ride safe,cheers

Well bro the side stand fits the bill..main stand isn't required but if you want then you can buy a paddock stand

And i don't think think there's any way to off the fuel as per my concern because the bike is fuel injected and in FI system there is no requirement for the fuel to be off'ed or on'ed

Uploads some pics of your new machine though 😉
