Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Inside where?Originally posted by Jacob Philips View PostGot the bike cleaned again...there was still water inside. The technician said it will take a few days for it to completely disappear. Is this true? Te official Bajaj service centre here has been shut down. So getting the fuel injectors cleaned is going to be an issue. Do I continue to use the bike normally or should I ride to the nearest city and get it properly serviced?? (nearest city is Bijapur 84kms away). As far as the performance goes ..its vastly improved from yesterday. Do I wait it out or do I take immediate action??
If inside the tank, then yes you need to act immediately. Inside the engine is a disaster waiting to happen. That shouldn't ideally happen but you can still check the engine oil for foam like formation (presence of water in oil). If you find foam, drain the oil. Else, no issues.
If the air filter is soaked in water, change it as well.
If water is elsewhere than the above mentioned places, you can just let it be. It will dry out eventually.
Start changing gears at 4-5k RPM without any abrupt throttle bursts and you'll see 30+ in city. If you maintain the same on a highway, you see 40+ figures.Originally posted by Sanket s View PostGuy getting a very poor average of only 24MAX is it because it is new?. I filled total of 4+6ltrs =10liters odo reading was 300 at that time. Now it's only 540 and reserve is already blinking. I usually change gears at 6-7k rpm. I feel cheated from bajaj.Got a $5 head? Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
The reserve indicator is not very trustworthy. To accurately measure the mileage, it is better to use tank-to-tank method. I also change gears at 6-7k rpm and get mileage between 28-32 kmpl depending on city vs highway usage. Measure the mileage using tank-to-tank method and share the results.Originally posted by Sanket s View PostGuy getting a very poor average of only 24MAX is it because it is new?. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. The main problem is the Bajaj service center here has been shut down due to lack of quality service. Theres a new one opening in a months time. All the local mechanics don't know how to service the bike because they normally deal with carburetor vehicles. So basically I'm stuck. There was water in the tank from the second cleaning. The mechanic who worked on the bike said hes thoroughly cleaned the tank but he doesn't know how to clean the injectors and that it will take a few days for all the water to evaporate. Its been 3 days. I still face the stuttering issues at low RPMs. If I raze the throttle its barely noticeable but theres always that nagging feeling that things aren't perfect with my ride. I have half a mind to ride the 85kms to Biijapur and get the whole vehicle stripped down and cleaned. Do I wait or do I go? Will said water evaporate? Thanks again.Last edited by Divya Sharan; 05-31-2016, 11:08 AM.

If all the water is drained from the tank, then there is only one additional place causing the stuttering - the fuel pump!Originally posted by Jacob Philips View PostI honestly don't know what to do anymore. Fuel is pumped into the engine from this very same fuel pump through the injectors. As far as I know, RS has a fuel pump inside the tank and hence it still contains water. Just get the tank removed from the bike and the fuel pump and injectors removed and cleaned with diesel. Let all of these dry for a day and fit them all back together.
Don't you have another Bajaj SVC in your city?Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Yes, totally makes sense. I'll visit the local showroom tomorrow and ask them to transport my bike to Bijapur. Unfortunately I don't live in a city..its more like a town. Very under-developed. Thanks a lot for the input. Will keep you updated.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostIf all the water is drained from the tank, then there is only one additional place causing the stuttering - the fuel pump! Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Please revisit the news website on bike wale .Originally posted by Sharma Ji View PostHi guys....
Any new news on the discontinuing of RS200 by bajaj.
Has bajaj really discontinued RS200?
If yes.. Then why and for what particular time period...
Here is the update :
Update: Bajaj Auto has confirmed that the production of the Pulsar RS200 has not been stopped and the bike continues to be produced for export markets. There has been a slump in sales of the bike in the domestic market which might have affected the total number of units being produced on a daily basis, but the production of the RS200 was never halted. We stand corrected on this front and any inconvenience caused to the bike maker or our readers is regretted.>>>>Beware of Zombies<<<<

Thank goodness, Bajaj would have discontinued itself out of the biking market if it kept up the discontinuation strategy after many similar past doings.Originally posted by D.j View PostPlease revisit the news website on bike wale .
