Now, I have checked mileage tank-to-tank method, one week back and I got mileage of 38.5kmpl. So firstly, your method might not be very accurate. Check it tank to tank and as low as 34kmpl is acceptable. If you get anything less than 32kmpl, then connect with SVC.

Just pull down the rubber cover down(the part which connects to the mirror head) there will be two star shaped screws tighten them but don't over tighten.

Fuel is pumped into the engine from this very same fuel pump through the injectors. As far as I know, RS has a fuel pump inside the tank and hence it still contains water. Just get the tank removed from the bike and the fuel pump and injectors removed and cleaned with diesel. Let all of these dry for a day and fit them all back together.

Don't you have another Bajaj SVC in your city?
I rode the bike to Bijapur. They hav a proper service station here. On the ride to Bijapur I still face the stuttering issue. I was maintaining a constant speed between 50 to 60kmh.On arrival the technician rode the vehicle and said all is fine. I still insisted that its not and for my satisfaction i requested them to hav a closer look. They agreed. On opening the tank and inspecting the fuel pump then found some black residue on the fuel filter which is supposed to be white, considering my bikes new. They had no clue as to what it was as it couldn't be scraped or washed away. They tried cleaning it and asked me to test it again. The problem was still there. I spoke to the customer care section and they contacted the main office and sent pics of said filter. Fortunately for me the head technician in Karnataka will be arriving today to inspect it further. The Bajaj people insisted that there is a problem with the vehicle and that out of the 66 bikes they have sold in Karnataka mines the first one with such a complaint. Just my luck, eh?!? They promised to get back to me within 24 hours. I'm just curious what to do next. What course of action am i entitled to take??

Hey, what exactly do you mean by tank to tank method? since this is a fuel injected motorbike the fuel pump should never be run till the last drop, as it will damage the pump and the injectors AFAIK.

First fill the tank till brim(full tank) , reset the trip to zero. Ride for 100-200 km then again fill the tank till brim & note down the fuel quantity needed to full tank. Now the kms covered divided by quantity of fuel gives u the exact fe.
E.g. after full tank , bike tode for say 150km (of course shown by trip meter) , again fill the tank to full ,say the quantuty required to fill it till brim comes to 5 ltrs then the fe is 150/5 = 30kmpl( say).

You are correct brother, this is the method that should be followed, but I was asking him to be sure what exactly he meant by tank to tank and hoping he isn't doing it wrong.

Get the fuel pump changed in warranty. Else, at least the fuel filter. It has loads of gunk, hence it has turned blackish.

Are you sure bro??? It is not like that.It dont have any rubber cover near mirror head that can be pulled down.

I have asked my dealer to change the whole mirror.

Hey Guys! Need to get a new pair of horns for the bike. I've zeroed in on the following:

                          Bosch F 002 H10 028-8F8 High Performance Symphony Fanfare Horn, 12V (Set of 2): Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike

Roots Spider Eco Horn Pair (12V, Red): Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike

The one from Bosch has a risk of water getting in and ruining it.

Do you have any other suggestions ?

                          Thanks much!

                            Hello,

********* As per the schedule of servicing my bike Pulsar rs 200 which is currently on odo 10446 i am facing problems with my bike not happy with my pulsar rs 200n nor the service at all i had earlier even twice thrice complained on BAJAJ AUTO website for vehicle registering MH14FF7512.I recently got my bike serviced at GEMS AUTO Akurdi,Pune Maharashtra that's on 16/05/2016 yesterday i.e on 31/05/2016 while riding my bike the gear lever suddenly leaned down thinking that the gear lever must have broken i stopped further and saw that the gear lever was in place just leaned a lot below than normal level. In short the gear was dead couldn't shift up or down.During my recent servicing i had already complained of the clutch setting and gears as it been a primary issue till now for my bike right from start . The below problems like needle flickering and gear shifting front rear disk noise body fairing vibrations and while starting bike a sound like cracker busting from exhaust and the vehicle failing to start for sometime then even the clock getting reset after the above problem earlier the trip meter and time used to get reset an now also the clock gets reset .These are all manufacturing problems. The bike had started giving me problem since day 2 of my purchase as a working professional i can't always run behind the servicing people for my problems .
And if this bike is so problematic in few months then what can i expect after the bike warranty lapses because already my bike is been experimented by service center people my issues are getting more serious and this is end of my patience I want my money to be refunded anyone help sorry I pasted wrong place the same post. Anyone facing such problems I am just not at all happy

Had been to Sai Service Phugewadi and just was shocked hearing what the manager had to say for BAJAJ bikes when I said " Is bike se achhi meri cousin ki bike hai Yamaha Fazer abtak koi problem nahi "hearing this his reply" Aap Bajaj ko uske sath compare na karo ye BAJAJ hai BAJAJ isse acha aap KTM le lete toh acha hota ya phir isko de ke KTM le lo.And they are like kuch problems toh sab bikes mai hai nahi solve honge."

It is because of this reason I bought a KTM. Sad to hear that you are facing problems from just months of buying the bike. Dude also try to use English only.

For my luck my bike is supercool with No major problems,
Even i have disk squeaky sound in rear disk, but it happened by me so i dont blame bajaj.

We still own BAJAJ Chetak 12V even that runs like a new1.
