Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Racedynamics Ecu for R15 costs 12k-14k and since RS200's BCU has not been altered by anyone yet so guessing the price is not possible. You need to contact dedicated tuners who can come up with dyno results too.Originally posted by Sabestine Lewis View Post

I have checked with RaceDynamic, they do not deal with Pulsar bikes.
I think cleaning the AirFilter regularly should keep engine life going on.
I am not sure about the cons of using air filter, please help me with that.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Im not very well versed with Motorcycle tuning box, but if you google it up, youll come across tuning box from Race Dynamics,Kiirus For Ktm duke 200. These guys should be able to customize maps for your RS200, but the cost of these tuning boxes are 12-15k range for the duke. I guess for the RS200 the cost will vary depending on how easy it is for them to get the tuning right quickly.Search for reputed tuners close to your area and have a chat with them. Also google is a very good friend, look up Duke 200 tuning forums.RegardsOriginally posted by Sabestine Lewis View PostThanks for the response,I am using SIMOTA Racing AirFilter and what would be the budget I will be looking at if I want to go ahead in Tuning and remap ECU.

Just cleaning filter wont help, the time engine is in use, dust particles are constantly entering the engine. Anyways everyone here knows that just the filter changes the AFR and gives no gain in anything. Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey guy after taking the delivery (odo 12km) I filled petrol of rs 500,. after only 160 km of sane travel its showing reserve! What's wrong with the bike ? Is there a problem with the bike's fuel efficiency or with the sensor.? Please help
Detail:
7.35 litres(500rs petrol) +1 liter by showroom = 8.35 litres of total petrol in fuel tank.now 2 liters for reserve so 6 liters of usable fuel remaining. now by multiplying 6*35 we should get 210km range easily but it's showing reserve on 160km.please help.thanks in advance.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
If you are referrng to the blinking fuel level indicator, then its normal. The fuel sensors on the pulsars are a little off. Depending on the position of the bike, the level may change leading to an incorrect reading of fuel going into reserve. So always take the displayed level with a pinch of salt. Hope it helpsOriginally posted by Sanket s View PostHey guy after taking the delivery (odo 12km) I filled petrol of rs 500,. after only 160 km of sane travel its showing reserve! Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Your stippon motor is faulty, get it replaced at the service centre. If it is under warranty they will replace it free of cost. Ideal rev is 1800 rpm, get it set and you are good to go.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostThanks a lot bro!
Now as to why this happened I don't really know.
I only ran the bike on low fuel twice, that too because I didn't get pocket money to fill it up. I will avoid this as much as possible from now on.
I've been using "Speed" from Bharat Petroleum since the beginning. I don't know if this caused the fuel pump to go kaput, but I will advise other owners to avoid this fuel and anything similar to it. I switched back to normal fuel for the last 1000 Kms, but still the bike has trouble starting and maintaining a constant idle once warm.
I have been invited to take a look at the whole process of changing the fuel pump, but since I have an exam that day I can't be there. I'll see if my friend @Ar47 is willing to go and get some info and pics for you guys while they perform this operation.
Thanks again!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I do have a question, what happens when the ABS pump fail?? Does it lock the brakes? Both brakes? Or no brakes? Does the brakes work like normal with the pump off?? Also does the pump requires any electricity to run?? What happens when the ignition is off and bike is rolling?? Will the brakes work??4 wheels move your body, 2 wheels move your soul .

I have no issue with idle rpm. Its perfectly normal. Also there was about 3/4 amount of fuel in the tank.Originally posted by Minisoda View PostHi yes you are right!
I was going to make a post about it but because of exams I couldn't.
So the Stepper Motor has been changed (under warranty of course). The idle is now fine and constant. It depends on how hot the engine is, in the morning the idle is 1700-1800 RPM, while in the afternoon blazing hot sun it idles at 1500 RPM.

Thanks!
Also the same incident occurred when i stalled my bike in gear during traffic and it took 4 cranks for it to start. I was told after stalling not to crank immediately, but to toggle the kill switch so that the fuel pump gets re primed. I may have not followed this maybe during one stalling issue but for the other i followed and it still happened.
have faced these weird starting issues only about 4 times in 4.7k km so it occurs rarely. though i stall the bike rarely as well
I had an incident at about 700km where my bike battery drained by itself. later during 2k i had issues of the bike stalling down a slope when i used to pres the clutch lever, it used to happen when the bike was no warmed up properly. So after i used to warm the bike i haven't faced the stalling issues down a slope.
I have completed 4.7k km and will be going for the official 2nd service this Saturday. Could you please let me know what could be the issue with the inconsistent starting?
Could you tell me whats is the TSB id number and the date of posting? I cannot make these out in the picture that you have provided.Originally posted by Yatheesh S Yashashvi View PostYes there is a update for older bikes but service guys are not following it,
Instead of changing whole brake hose they are just removing the clamp!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hey,
For past 1 month, i am facing a strange issue, whenever i turn on bike, the FI sound has gone little strange and loud and long. Earlier it was a low pitched short time taking sound. I can record it sometime today and share as well, but would like to know if anyone else knows what it can be?
Thanks!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Me too following the same method. I am using Motul Clean and lube. How is WD40 and 3M chain lube?Originally posted by xanderdan View PostCleaned and lubed the chain yesterday using WD40 and 3M chain lube. Since there is no center stand, parked the bike on side stand and lifted the rear wheel slightly up with my car's screw jack. It was pretty easy.
