        Last Monday morning on the way to college, an overspeeding honda jazz come from opposite direction overtaking other bike, came into my lane crashed on me HEAD ON.
        I was doing 55-60kmph

        My 1 year 7 months Love my RS200 is completed damaged, i didnt see the aftermath,I can't.

        Everyone who saw said that the bike can only be thrown away total loss.
        Can't repair.😥😥😥


        I lost my consciousness at the spot, came from I.C.U. yesterday afternoon, right wrist fracture and pelvic fracture.

        RS200 is a safebike, bike took the crash saved me,

        My helmet was ZEUS (costs 4800), without that helmet I couldn't have survived, after the crash i was thrown some 20 feet on air and crashed on to the road,
        Thus the fracture but not even a scratch on my HEAD.

          Pray for me.. Especially pray so that my parents will give my a motorbike after me getting well.

          After getting 100% recovery, the days are gonna get worse I think, I will be itching to get back on 2 wheels, but my parents will be against that. In between am a single child.

            Get better soon brother! Even if your folks are against getting a bike, work hard and earn one yourself in good time, also recover completely, I hope you get compensated!

                Hey people I'm anuj here I'm planning on the rs 200 2017 edition in Bangalore, can you people tell me the cost of maintaining this bike? Like the minimum cost per service?? Also this will be my 1st ever bike so any suggestions would help me a lot... Mileage and maintenance cost please let me know!! Real world scenario

                  Hi guys! This is my first post in xBhp! It's great to be here! I hope to learn a lot here. So anyway, I just bought the 2017 model of Pulsar RS200, ABS version. After a lot of contemplation, I decided to go for the racing blue edition! Must say, it's quite different from the previous models. This is more refined and throaty and thanks to the new color scheme, the fairing doesn't look so busy anymore! It looks slightly meatier too, thanks to the laser edge stickering.

                  The odometer was at 0 when I got it, and it's at around 20 now. I'm happy with it so far; there are constant vibrations on the foot pegs, but I guess it's just how it is during the breaking-in period? Also I think I'm hearing thud sounds on speed breakers even at very low speeds. Doesn't seem like a major issue but I will make sure to get it checked during the first servicing!

                  My plan is to ride with gearshifts at 4 - 4.5k RPM for the first 500km and 5 - 5.5k RPM gearshifts for the next 500km. I'm using a lot of engine braking and running through all gears at various speeds. I've been itching to hit the highway and see how good this baby really is but I'm gonna avoid that until I get 1200-1300km on the odometer. P Guys with experience, please give advice about breaking in.

                  Any tips/questions from anyone are welcome. Also could someone tell me where the best Bajaj service center in Hyderabad is?

                    First service cost me 750..
                    Second service 1000.. (air filter element change)

                    Clocked 5k kms. No issues..
                    Little vibrations all over. But that can be cured.. Value for money bike.

                    About mileage i am getting around 40kmpl.

                    Go for it if you're a fan of fully faired bikes..

                      I always suggest the same thing I did in the RTR thread -


                      Not an RTR owner here but a next door biker. Don't emphasize much on the "speed", take care of the RPM range.

                      Follow what is suggested in your bike's user manual, usually its < 5000 RPM before 1st service (~1000KMs) and <7500 RPM before second service. The speed can still vary on these RPMs depending upon when you shift the gears.

                      Don't pamper the bike too much, don't revv the bike too much, keep varying the RPMs in each gear, don't keep the bike in a single RPM range for too long, have fun and don't over complicate the run-in.

                        My plan is to ride with gearshifts at 4 - 4.5k RPM for the first 500km and 5 - 5.5k RPM gearshifts for the next 500km.                         There really is no need to follow the manual. Instead it's better to run the bike hard the first few kilometers so if anything is wrong it'll be fixed under warranty.

                        Don't sit at redline all the time, and don't lug the engine. Keep varying the RPM and don't be afraid to twist the throttle. Do not baby it. Also there is no need to stay under 4K RPM for a limited amount of kilometers. If you are planning for a highway ride don't keep a constant speed at constant RPM. Keep varying throttle input and keep shifting. Use the brakes as well instead of engine breaking.

                        I would also suggest you to change the oil as soon as possible. Preferably to Motul/Castrol since the stock bajaj oil is crap. Hopefully you will have a wonderful experience with the bike. Congrats!

                            I agree with yo bro.. I didn't do anything like run in.. I just rode the bike as i like it.. I never rash drive.. I never hit red line.

                            I always increase speed gradually. I haven't Crossed 120kmph.

                            I went to a hill trip after 300kms. Went to a 500km trip after 800kms.

                            My bike is just cool and it never ceases to excite me..

                            So don't complicate too much.. Just ride your bike. It will show what it's problem is..

                                Anyway I'm trying to make shifts around 4-4.5k RPM, not ride under 4-4.5k rpm. I do go up to 6k rpm in short bursts sometimes. I use a healthy balance of engine and brakes to slow down. I'm really loving the braking on this bike. The ABS makes a whole world of difference!! I tested it by panic braking at 55kmph on sandy, muddy slopes, both uphill and downhill. The brake lever vibrates a fair bit as the ABS kicks into action, but it's very efficient. I did not lose traction or compromise stability.

                                Also, I received call from the Bajaj showroom, asking me to visit them as they had forgotten to put coolant in the vehicle. I feel silly for not have checked it myself before. I'm going to get it topped first thing in the morning!

                                I was planning on switching to Motul after first service. Should I change the engine oil earlier?
