That's a big relief, thanks for the confirmation. But the mechanic and service center guys should actually confirm it by using the feeler gauge by opening the engine.

The service center are not willing to open the fairing and simply avoid to touch a new motorcycle, like really opening it and actually working on it.

Are you guys talking about the tik tik noise once the engine is hot and then u stop the bike.
My old p180 had it .it used to be pretty high and then once the engine cools the freq of tik sound stops.
However in my AS200 Its not there .infact couple of my friends who has NS doesnt have that sound .
But if it's not giving any problem then just ignore the sound .

I don't think that's the one. I've too heard that sound from Apache, old P220, and even other models. I think that's from exhaust and due to metal cooling down. I guess, but not sure. But heard none with my bike. Could be newer bikes have a good exhaust design or so...!!

A tappet related noise will be continuous and won't stop. But when riding at high RPMs, you might not hear it. Put in neutral and one can easily hear it.

Not that sound, Its the tik-tik sound that you get when the engine is at idle along with the engine sound.

I think it is the exhaust side tappet which has become lose as the exhaust is also giving weird sounds. Lets see how it effects the motorcycle, as of right now only a keen ears will know that there is something wrong and will kick the ASC when needed as its still under warranty.

the tik tik sound i hear only when i ride on speed breakers or holes on the road, i think this sound is from front suspension. When i ride along with a pillion the engine touches the speed breaker too.....

                    hi guys,
yesterday i did my first long ride on my RS200 (200km) ,everything was fine until i got my rear wheel punctured as i ran into a short but deep pothole in the middle of the highway in the night .I was at a speed of 50kmph(2 persons on the bike) . I felt that the front wheel took most of the impact and dint feel anything for the rear wheel. But to my surprise the rear wheel rim got bent leading to loss of air pressure.Front wheel Also has a small dent on its rim but not that severe, hence air was still intact.
I managed (without the pillion rider)to a nearby mechanic shop (5km from the spot ) thanks to tubeless tires , unfortunately the mechanic said he cant fix the dent.
i was about 30km away from my place and we decided to fill air and drive as far as possible. We refilled at possible places on the route(petrol pumps). I was able to reach my place like this(3 times the air had to be refilled). I dont know how this would have affected my bike. Today i'm taking to the service center.

What all things i should ask them to check?
will i get warranty for my wheels?

                    please let me know.

The tik tik or so called thud sound is indeed from the front suspension and the tik tik sound that comes from the engine during idle is normal in most of the rs 200 and ns 200 engines. The engine is not what hits the speed brakers but the bike has some two or three dholkis (my mechanics language) at the bottom one of which is the silencers that hits the ground. Nothing to worry about but just a tip that may help. When almost near to the speed breaker dont use the front break as it compresses the front shocks which reduces the ground clearance of the bike instead use the rear and go very slow over it. You could also try going a little slant over the speed break.

Sorry to know about your incident brother and i hope you soon get your baby fixed. Regarding warranty on the wheels you need to sit up their head and be very stern about getting it covered. If they still not willing to cover it under warranty take it to the consumer court. May be it would work out in your favour based on the past mag wheel incidents. Do keep us posted about this situation.

That's a severe impact. rim don't get damaged that easily. This will affect front & rear suspension, steering cone set ,bushing etc
                          Don't worry this will get covered under insurance .{not warranty}

                              Hey.
Have any of the owners experienced footpeg vibrations at 6k RPM?
I get the usual foot peg vibes at 4.7 till 5k Rpm but get same vibes at 6k RPM. I managed to gather info through a friend from another owner who has the new black version and he too has the same vibes at 4.7 till 5k rpm and 6k rpm. I thought i read somewhere that the newer models have reduced vibrations...but it doesnt seem to be the case.
The vibes doesnt bother me much but since no one reported vibes at 6k rpm im a little concerned. Since both my bike which is a month old and the new black one have undergone first oil change with motul 3100 gold, is this oil adding to the vibrations? is it too soon for motul oil(semi-synthetic), rather should we continue with bajaj dtsi(mineral) till the second service and then change over to motul??

Any incite on this would be grateful.

Also do you'll feel the low beam is not bright enough?? i find the low beam to be just average, thinking of upgrading but want to know if any1 has upgraded to higher wattage bulbs with relay or installed HID or gone the LED way?
I dont want to play around with the warranty and can manage to ride with the high beam but its not possible to do this all the time as cars immediately switch on their high beam and dazzle when the see my high beam.

                              Regards

I too Have vibes b/w 4.7K RPM to 6K RPM.... The Vibes have reduced a Lot after I changed to Motul 7100 but it's still there... Check the chain Tension. A tight chain will cause vibrations. Try increasing air pressure it will help to mitigate the vibes to some extent.. FYI : Don't increase the air pressure beyone 30 and 40PSI in the Front and Rear. The bike will skid more easily with increased pressure esp if you are using those EUROSLIPS.

By the Term newer Model, it's meant to be for NS. The new ones with dual tone colors have lesser vibes than old one with solid colors.

Regarding the Bulb issue, ask in NS forum, there are a lot of people who has changed to HID's or 90/100W lamps even without any relaying.
