I suggest you start with a good quality helmet and then get some.gloves like dsg, etc then proceed on to jacket. These things are expensive no doubt but worth every penny, i am also investing on jackets and gloves now.sigpic

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
The insurance message is from the insurance company. Means that the bike has really been alloted to you, no funny business from the dealer. The RTO message specifies the registration number alloted to the vehicle.Originally posted by Dragonprince View PostI got a message yesterday regarding some insurance policy being accepted ,i guess its from the rto. I have a Kranus helmet, Spartan body armor and Espida Gloves. Planning to buy a knee guard real soon (as soon as I receive the paycheque
). These gears are expansive for a reason and looks is not one of the reason! The money invested now can save your life in future. OR, you can buy cheap stuff and invest the savings on a good LIC policy!
I said WE and EE highway because of the high speeds vehicle drive at. Once on EE highway, I was driving at 70 kmph and a truck overtook me from left at a much higher speed. I was like what is the driving doing on Indian road? He should be at F1 making us proud!Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Anyone from Chennai here? I took my friend today looking for a test drive of the RS200 but unfortunately there were no test rides available in all the 3 showrooms of my area. The last showroom which we visited stated that yesterday, A 19 year old guy crashed the test drive vehicle in a small road at about 80+ kph. Both the rider and pillion (Sales Person) sustained severe injuries and the bike was totally destroyed on the right hand side. And they also stated that they have received a mail from Bajaj that there won't be any test drives available here after for more than a month (In any Showroom[emoji15]). Is this even true? Can anybody let me know where I can get a test drive of the RS200. The showrooms which I visited were the KLN's at Anna Nagar, Mogappair and Villivakkam respectively.

This depends from area to area. From what I heard, in Mumbai it is 45-60 days. You can check that from dealer.
2)How is the service genarally bajaj service sucks i know very well about the service centers of the bajaj right from my p180 days.
I have heard that it is not that good. You can get a better idea from the 200NS thread.
3) what are the major cons of this bike?
Looks do not impress some people. Totally a subjective area. I personally like them.
Gearbox not very smooth.
Only single channel ABS, on front brakes. I think that dual channel would have been better. But if compared to disc brakes, having a single channel ABS is always better than not having at all. So, not a con really.
Some people have reported mild vibrations. I have not had much vibrations in my bike so far. Only once felt vibrations around 65 kmph but they too dissappeared once I crossed 70 kmph.
Replies in bold... I think it is a terrific value for money. Ask him to have a ride first and then decide for himself.Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I checked the spartan body armor and spidi gloves(there was no search match for espida) . Is there anywhere local store you bought it from or did you order it online ??Originally posted by rachitsharma2000 View PostThe insurance message is from the insurance company. also i am guessing from the review this spartan body armor thing is basically pads but what do they fit into ??. If you can post the photos of the armor and gloves it would be awesome !!!!!!.Also i found out another shop which i think is offering great materials(gloves, pants, jackets) at Cheaper prices ,if you can have a look at the site and compare those gloves, vests with yours and tell the difference it will be appreciated (i cant make out ,they keep using different ratings so its not comparable to the layman)
Textile Jackets
these are some other links also but they are expensive stuff when compared with the features of the solace website.
DSG Genesis Jacket: Orange - 7,999.00Rs
Bull Leds Cruise Goggles Night Ride Eyewear FOR ALL Riders | eBay
Cramster - Protective Wear
BE Tough Rynox Rampage Gloves Different Colors AND Sizes RY0001 | eBay
Also on a side note i wanted to ask ,for safety have you installed a gps system on your bike as the pulsar 200 rs pretty much comes with no safety feature to prevent it from being stolen. I Would not want to park my bike and comeback and find the bike is gone @_@.
Sorry for the barrage of questions ,but as they come to mind i thought ill ask them.

Bro there's a separate thread for gears I.e., 'Universal :Riding gear thread' where all your gears queries can be solved more quickly! And regarding safety, there are quite no. Of tracking devices in market which help you track your vehicles location in few seconds.

As Ankitsingh007 rightly said, your queries regarding protective gears would be answered much better in the Riding gear thread by people much more experienced than I am.Originally posted by Dragonprince View PostI checked the spartan body armor and spidi gloves(there was no search match for espida) . I buy my gears from two shops: Moto101 at Linking road (near KFC) and another one in Bhandup (Dont remember the name but this is the official dealer for DSG and is located near Bhandup police station). Moto101 keeps Spartan stuff. Both the owners are very helpful and knowledgable. I would strongly suggest to try the jacket before buying. The protective armour needs to fit the body parts very well otherwise there would be problems during crashes. Personally, Spartan Jacket was a much better fit for me as compared to DSG, so went for it.
My jacket is mesh types so it keeps me cool during the summer. Plus, prefer one with a rain liner. It will come handy in the monsoons.
I have not intalled any gps system. My bike is either parked at home or in office parking
. But my younger brother had fit an larm system in his bike that goes berserk if anybody touches the bike. You can also buy a body cover which would hide your bike from porying eyes as well as save it from rain/dust etc.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I have got an issue with my new bike.. just 300kms driven
Today I took my bike and when I was at my friends place, I switched off the ignition.. Minutes later when I tried to start the bike, it started up in neutral, but as soon as I put it in gear, engine is getting off.. I also tried starting the bike in gear while holding clutch but it doesn't turn on.. Though it starts normally while in neutral
Can someone shed some light what could be the issue!! I will be contacting the showroom tomorrow.
Edit :- It could be that I was putting it in gear with side stand.. will check it out tomorrow morning and will update my post.Last edited by fundoozzz; 05-26-2015, 12:48 AM.

It's a new bike issues may arrive but did you try revving it at 2-3rpm for few seconds for warm-up?Originally posted by fundoozzz View PostI have got an issue with my new bike.. just 300kms driven

Wait for an SMS from Mumbai RTO mentioning your registration number. Next working day after the message, you can get your bike from showroom.
