Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
The demand seems to be quite high. The dealers in Chennai too asked for 40 days. The dealer said within 1 month of launch he has sold around 30 bikes, which seems to be stunning.Originally posted by Sarvothama View Post

Re: Bike service question
You can get your bike at any Bajaj authorized service center irrespective of the place of purchase. Just remember to carry your owner manual which has the service slips.Originally posted by mkr.coder View PostHi folks,
I am from Chennai and I am planning to book a bike soon (Bajaj Pulsar RS 200). There are good chances that I might have to move to Bangalore in the next few months.
Do I have to get the bike to Chennai every time for (warranty) service or can I get it done in Bangalore itself? I mean, is there any constraints on where exactly the bike can be serviced, and could it be availed across states?
What other costs would I have to pay other than the state taxes?
This could be very trivial for some people, but Googling didn't give me clear answers, that's why seeking your help. Thanks in advance!
If you move to a different state, there could be two options:
1. Keep the old registration number and just pay road tax to the new state (Karnataka in your case). This is simpler but you would be stopped by traffic police every now and then. I heard that Bangalore traffic police is pretty bad in this respect. I did this in Hyderabad and things were bad there. I was stopped very often and even though I had valid papers, they would come up with an unheard rule to extort money. Also, you would not be able to sell the bike in Bangalore.
2. Get an NOC form TN. This would release the registration number from Chennai RTO. In Bangalore, pay the road tax and apply for a Karnataka registration number. This requires more effort upfront but will be better in long run. You would need to get the insurance renewed too. Finally, the NOC is time-bound, ie, within 6 months or 1 year (I dont remember exactly) you would need to submit the papers at Bangalore RTO or the NOC is no longer valid.
Search xbhp, there is a dedicated thread for this query where you can find more details.
One last thing, if you plan to take the second route then do it before leaving for Bangalore as the bike needs to be physically present at the RTO giving the NOC. Only after inspecting the bike/chassis number/engine number, they will issue the NOC.Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Guys,
My bike has done 250+ km. Now, there is a sound from rear wheel at low speeds. Its like two metal pieces rubbing. Anyone else facing this issue?
By the way, even I am getting the thud sound from front fork when I ride over a hump or a ditch at about 40+ kmph.
Was the cause of this identified by any service guys?

The rear disk pad might have got some dirt stuck in them, 2 options for thisOriginally posted by sandeepks View PostGuys,

1. Ask the service guys to spray some water in high pressure (pressure washers they have at svc) into the rear brake setup , should clean it real nice
2. Remove the break pads and sand them together, gives the same effect, gets it cleaned.
Another possible reason could be improperly lubed chain, since its rainy season the lube can be washed away easily due to slush and other dirt, so if the chain is dry and dirty, clena it and lube it properly the sound should disappear.
Cheers

If it is just 5 km, there is no worry. This was probably covered while taking the bike to RTO. Now it is the time to enjoy your ride!!!Riding a bike is like flying.... All your senses are alive...

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hi Sandeep Ive also heard this issue from a few owners and im worried about it now since im getting my bike tomorrow and keeping my fingers crossed. The thud noise from the front is what im concerned about and as per my biking knowledge i feel it could be coming from the front assembly. The components involved could be the T stem, forks and checknut. May be the front assembly inst fitted correctly like some T stem setting needs to be done like fork play or something. Hope its gets rectified soon.Originally posted by sandeepks View PostGuys,

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Hi All, I have been a follower of XBHP and their work from years. I had been ardent lover of biking since childhood.
I rode bikes starting from 100cc to 1000cc. But had owed not to join till I get a Super Bike of my own...
For the starter I booked RS200 ABS Yellow successfully on 6th June in Gems Bajaj, Akhurdi, Pune. I can't think of anything other than my BUMBLEBEE now...
Anyone from Pune here? What is the waiting time right now? They promised me the delivery in 10-15 days and now the manager says minimum waiting time from company itself is 35 days.
I took on him for selling me with a promise of 15 days delivery? He promised me to give me in the next lot, he gets from the company. Can this happen?
Bhargav.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
I think the manager just bluffed you, as most of the showrooms are stating a waiting period of 35-45 days and up to 60 days for the RS200. Also, the Yellow ones are less common while the Red ones are selling more, so those who booked the Red bike are getting them earlier.Originally posted by bhargavkundem View PostHi All, I have been a follower of XBHP and their work from years. I myself had booked the bike on the 16th of May and the waiting period told to me was 2 months
. I got a call from the showroom two weeks ago that I can get the Red one a month earlier if I want, but I declined as I had set my eyes only on the Yellow one. I kept calling the showroom manager twice every week to request him to deliver my bike earlier.
Finally and fortunately, the manager called me up two days ago and said that he had managed to book a yellow one for me in the next lot. I've been promised delivery before the 27th of June for the Yellow Non-ABS version, so that makes it a total 40 days of waiting time for me here in Thane district. 1 Week to go
. Let's see if they keep up their promise.
I can only say that the wait will be worth it, so keep patience buddy! Two tires feel better than four. Period.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Owners Review and Experience
Same situation ifaced but upon seeing both colours i decided to go for red. Booked on may 27th and received bike on June 18th actually the bike did arrive on 15th but full amount was not redy for me . At the time of booking they told me that i should wait for a maximum of 30 days. The service from bajaj Thodupuzha (kerala) was awesome. So friendly and helping mentality .Everything from their side was excellent! !!Last edited by akhilpv; 06-19-2015, 06:34 PM.
